  • Episode 97 - Lessons From Year 3

    04/04/2018 Duration: 21min

Many things were great - YOU, working with clients, meeting new people, having really fun weekend work outs (with snacks) but internally something felt off. It has easily taken me a year (or more) to figure out what it was. I was STRIVINGAND RESISTING all at the same time. I was STRIVING to become someone that I am not. I allowed myself to be consumed by the idea of creating an all life coaching business and doing much of it online. I would see people doing this who have a great life and think to myself "wow-I'm a great coach - I should build my business like that. If they can do it - so can I."  But then I would RESIST. • Episode 96 - The Running Challenge

    30/03/2018 Duration: 11min

It started in mid-December and ended on March 19th - the goal - 175 miles in 100 days. That's only an average of less than 2 miles per day. So we figured if you run more on some days it would all even out.  We ran 12 miles in the month of December. A few in January. A handful in February.  And then March came. Crunch time.  Throughout the months the "pressure" of doing this challenge hung in the back of my mind. Every day we didn't run it was a little bit of added stress. The times we accidentally overslept and missed a morning run. All of these turned into a month of crunch time putting in sometimes 2 runs a day. And putting in longer runs than we had done since Worlds. Along the way I kept asking myself "Why does this matter? I don't really care about the medal, no one will know or care if we finish so why are we stressing out about getting all these miles in?"  Find out more ON THE BLOG

  • Episode 95 - Fender Bender and Responsibility

    30/03/2018 Duration: 09min

"How often do you blame someone for making you feel a certain way, or for making you say yes to something you want to say no to, or for making you take an action you don't want to??" - Dalai Lama The other guy got out and we both inspected our cars. Mine did not even have a scrape and his had a huge crack in his bumper. But what was striking about the conversation is he kept saying over and over again "YOU MADE ME BRAKE." And I kept saying "It was a red light."  What I believe he was trying to say was "because you started to go, I went and then you stopped so I had to brake again."

  • Episode 94 - Walking Into a Shut Door

    30/03/2018 Duration: 06min

I was laying in bed the other night and decided I needed to go to the bathroom (which I'm sure you can relate).  After arguing with myself for a few minutes I decided I was going to get up. The bathroom is outside of the bedroom but not very far. It's also important to note that the light switch for the hallway is next to the bathroom so there was no chance of turning on the light. I walked out of the room, took a few steps towards the bathroom and then BAM!!!!!!   Read more on the BLOG.
