Periods. Poop. and Sleep
11/07/2019 Duration: 14minPeriods. Poop. And Sleep. I got my period the other day (as I do routinely every 28 days) and I started to complain in my head. UGH - I have to remember to pack tampons in my bag, I'll probably need chocolate, and that also makes sense why I've been upset at the world the last few days and also feel like I'm failing at everything. And then sometimes I think about how annoyed I am that I have been getting my period every month since I was 12. And will for easily another 20 years. WHAT AN INCONVENIENCE TO MY LIFE. What Would You Tell Your Younger Self?
01/07/2019 Duration: 12minDear younger self Do you ever hear the question…… “What would you tell your younger self?” OR “What do you wish you knew 10 years ago?” Answers are often things like: Trust yourself Take the leap sooner Go on that trip Be more confident And for me those would all be true. But lately I have been having coffee/catching up with clients I had 8-10 years ago when I was just starting out in my career and also just starting out as an adult. Read more on the BLOG HERE.

"Up and to the Right"
09/05/2019 Duration: 12minRecently on a podcast the host said the phrase “up and to the right.” She was referring to the progress made by her premie baby – born at 27 weeks. Although there are minutes and hours along the way that aren’t great, and also huge moments of terror, the general progress of her baby was “up and to the right.” Full credit for the phrase to Amy Jo Martin of the “Why Not Now?” podcast. You can find more information and listen to her podcast HERE. This phrase has not left me since then because I find it shockingly so true. Especially after my last blog “Would you work 28 years for a goal?” I can look back and say that generally I was trending “up and to the right” with my pull up goal. But it took 28 years and most of those years felt like a somewhat downward trend. When in reality, it was probably a slight uptick to the right. Read more on the blog HERE.

I walked the dogs when I got home and as I was walking, I felt so deep in my bones that I had made the best decision for my life. HOLY. MOLY. IT HAS BEEN FOUR YEARS. Read more on the blog HERE.

Episode 115 - Erin Ayala
20/02/2019 Duration: 56minErin's story is not one of always being an athlete but rather one of recognizing the kind of person she wanted to be, the values that type of person had and changing her life to become that person. We also talked about body image and the challenge of being a "not typical" (whatever that means) athlete in sports where sometimes body size and shape can and does matter. We both get pretty heated with our opinions on the way women are judged on size rather than skill. Erin is also an accomplished cyclist, a sport I do not know much about, and I think you'll enjoy hearing about a self-supported, 200 mile GRAVEL bike race. MORE on the BLOG
