Day 72! MONEY Master the Game by Tony Robbins Explained in 21 Minutes!
21/01/2017 Duration: 22minWhat did I LEARN and DO as a result of listening to MONEY Master The Game by Tony Robbins? Watch this video to hear me review and explain the best of what I enjoyed in the book and most essentially what steps I actually took while reading the book. First, I discovered a toxic disempowering belief I had about my own finances because of losing my job in 2016 teaching on Udemy. After they banned me from teaching and removed 95% of my income in June 2016, I created a new belief that my business was going to make less money in 2017 because of this loss EVEN WITH NO DATA to support this belief. It was while listening to MONEY Master The Game on Audible that Tony Robbins challenged me in the book to investigate and questions my beliefs about money that I realized what I was doing. For my 2017 business planning, I was clearly making way for scarcity. As soon as I noticed not only did I believe my financial situation was going to get worse BUT I WAS ACTING ON THAT BELIEF TO MAKE IT TRUE, I immediately asked “Wha

Day 70! Victory with Vocabulary!
19/01/2017 Duration: 22minVocabulary has an amazing power to change moods, feelings, lifestyles, and destiny because of how we associate words with our life’s experience. When I was in fourth grade, I started using cuss words as often as I could get away with meaning that I consciously made a decision to start communicating with the four letter word method. At thirty years old, I became aware that I was still behaving this way and it was imitating my ability to effectively communicate with sensitive and healthy people. Today I am grateful that I only use curse words when it seems most appropriate to share with a specific person in a relevant situation. What amazes me is seeing how much better my life LOOKS and FEELS without calling everything a nasty word all day every day. Words and labels have an epic capacity to define an experience for us as I explain in the video with using words like overwhelmed, frustrated, and fear often in my life. One way to work on solving any problem in life is to stop saying the word behind it by re

Day 69! Fear Blocks Most Artists From Trying
18/01/2017 Duration: 21minWould you believe that every person has the potential to be a New York Times bestselling author, grammy winning musician, oscar winning actor, olympic gold medalist, prom queen, world’s best mom, employee of the year, or any other role we might think of as amazing, inspiring, and achieving? What seems to stop most of us is fear. Ironically it does not seem to be fear of failure but fear of being successful. I have had a book idea called Speaker Meeting 2017 for months that I have a huge passion for and as a reader would absolutely love to read another person’s speaker meeting book in the exact same format. Why then have I been dodging doing this book like it is my job? I have made everything but this book! Many of the videos I have made have been nothing more than lame attempts to get views with no passion. Hours and hours have passed where I could have wrote a book from my heart and soul while instead I settled for doing what was easy. This is the trap nearly every artist in any form whether it be am

Day 68! How Do I Get A 3% Loan For $300,000?
17/01/2017 Duration: 22minSee my willingness today to ask bold questions to solve huge challenges in my life such as getting out of $270,000 in debt and gain inspiration to do the same in your life! Would you help me learn how to get a 3% loan for a total amount of $300,000 whether it be 300 $1,000 loans or one loan for the entire amount? In helping me learn how to do this, you will empower me to help others do the same. With so many debt crises nearly certain events in our future, I am seeking to help as many others get out of owing money on student loans, credit cards, and personal loans because I want the same results as well. People who are debt free have a much easier time being financially independent. Financially independent people then are in a great position to help others get out of debt and do what they love each day. What I hope you enjoy listening to this is seeing the courage I have to ask a different question instead of being ashamed of my debt and never speaking it. The questions I used to ask were “How did I ge

Day 67! What Will I Do Today to Help You The Most?
16/01/2017 Duration: 20minHear how asking better questions gives me better results each day by allowing me to continue to solve problems and enjoy what I do! I am learning the power of asking questions like "What Will I Do Today to Help You The Most" instead of "How do I make the most money today" or "What is wrong with my business" or "Why is this competitor doing so good" or "What can I do to be on top" or "Where do they think they get the right" or "What is wrong with my web hosting company?" Substituting better questions like "What do I love about my business" and "What will I learn from this competitor" and "What can I do to be most helpful" and "Where do I learn how to improve" and "What is the best managed WordPress web hosting company using Google Cloud Platform" allow me to make advances every day which add up to a lot of return over time! My exercise for today is to continue asking what I will do today to help you the most which I have been doing since I recorded this. Thank you for reading this and I hope you enjoy this

Day 66! My Website Hosting Journey with 5 Hosts in 5 Years?
15/01/2017 Duration: 22minWould you believe how challenging it has been for me to find a website hosting provider that works within the limitations of my business online? When I started my business 5 years ago, cost was a huge factor and branding played a big part in my decision. I did my own research and chose some hosting provider I had never heard of before. There hosting was a nightmare for my WordPress website and I switched next to Google sites. While their hosting was outstanding, the content management system they use is in house and very limiting in features. From Google Sites I moved to a HostGator dedicated server which was fast with 100 visitors or so per day but cost over $4,000 a year. To save money and accept that my business did not merit a dedicated server, I switched to GoDaddy VPS which was horrible. When I tried to cancel, GoDaddy sold me on managed WordPress which is exactly what I needed. With a few hundred visitors a day and not taking orders on my website, my GoDaddy worked good. Once I hit 1,000+ visi

Day 65! Building Courage to Feel Pain Today in Exchange for Pleasure Tomorrow!
14/01/2017 Duration: 20minAfter experiencing a 24 hour stomach virus between the last episode and this one, hear how I find the courage to show up here again today even when I can only do the episode laying in bed on my iPhone! What I hope to have explained in this episode is how I build courage on a daily basis to feel the pain that is here in exchange for making a life filled with more pleasure tomorrow. Today as I feel sick, I am amazed to see how insane I used to be to drink alcohol for short term pleasure at the expense of a miserable hangover many of the next days. Now I understand better that making short term pain and pleasure decisions like "what can I do to avoid the most pain and gain the most pleasure today" often as the probable cost of more pain and less pleasure the next day is what kept me stuck in an insane life for so long. What felt impossible to me was to break the cycle of buying a product today for a little pleasure that would bring me pain the next day in seeing how much it cost, taking a drink of alcohol wh

Day 62! The Joy of Helping a Crying Baby Fall Asleep!
11/01/2017 Duration: 23minExperience the magic of hearing how helping my crying baby in the middle of the night is my greatest joy rather than a chore or life giving me a hard time. Last night my daughter was up for two hours in the middle of the night. What do you think of and feel when considering having two hours of sleep disrupted, facing fear of not getting enough sleep for the next day, anxiety about will sleep ever come, and more thoughts like this that might come when helping a child, baby, or family member get back to bed in the middle of the night. For most of my life, anything that disrupted my sleep bought out a lot of negative feels from me. With the system I describe in this episode of Happier People podcast, I am grateful now that what could be a hard time instead is a time of great joy as I get time to hug, love, and appreciate my baby girl. Instead of wishing she would go to sleep, I remember how much I wanted to have her in my life. While thoughts come of fear of not enough sleep, they are dismissed easily beca

Day 61! Every Failure is a Step in the Right Direction!
10/01/2017 Duration: 20minSee how I handle another painful failure as an entrepreneur online I experienced yesterday in being rejected by the Dash community budget proposal. What I am learning is that every seeming failure is guidance in the right direction and motivation to use a different approach. While doing the same thing repeatedly and expecting a different result is insane, making some slight adjustments and trying again is the path of growth. At 16 months, my daughter is walking everywhere after hundreds of painful falls. Imagine if after she feel the first or second time she was unwilling to try again. She would not walk again for years if she approached walking the way I first approached working online. After getting scammed into a survey program in my first effort to work online and getting sucked into a pyramid scheme right after that, I vowed not to fail again by just getting real job after real job. Finally working in the world of real jobs became so painful for me, I was willing to take the less painful alternati

Day 60! From the Fear of Rejection to the Joy of Acceptance!
09/01/2017 Duration: 20minHear how I work through the fear of rejection by focusing on the joy of my offer being accepted. Today I am making another proposal that I am really excited about which might get rejected or might be approved. No matter how many times I lose the game of asking and receiving, I am motivated to keep trying today by seeing how much fun it is to ask for something I really want and to get it. With my mind being programmed to avoid pain and seek pleasure, the fear of rejection is often sneaky in that my brain devises clever games to avoid situations where I might get told NO without me even being consciously aware it is doing it. For example, with jobs for years I only would apply to jobs in the criminal justice field because that is where I got my bachelor’s degree. I figured my odds of getting rejected were less at those jobs instead of focusing on how much I might actually enjoy doing a job. In serving clients, this has led me to make offers to clients at prices where they were unlikely to make a rejection

Day 59! Asking Why Am I Feeling This Way is a Waste of Time!
08/01/2017 Duration: 22minHear how I am learning to ask better questions to get out of moods where I am asking “Why am I feeling this way” or “What made me feel like this” or “Who did what that caused me to be like this?” Being depressed, angry, annoyed, resentful, frustrated, anxious, afraid, fearful, condemning, judgmental, and any other toxic bad mood usually includes my mind asking questions which SEEM to be asked in an effort to fix the bad mood but really they work to KEEP IT IN PLACE. For example, today I was feeling and thinking along with many of the words I just listed and my mind was acting helpful by trying to identify the source of the problem. With most problems in life, this is a helpful approach. Today as I was designing merchandise on Cafepress, I asked “Why is this website SO SLOW” and the answer “I do not know but maybe I should look for a different website to use” encouraged me to search for alternatives. Our minds are setup to solve simple problems very effectively like this by asking questions and seeking ans

Day 58! How I Quit Eating Popcorn at the Movie Theater
07/01/2017 Duration: 25minHear the story of how I quit eating popcorn at the movie theater and apply the same strategies I use to help with any change you are working on in your life today! After 20+ years of being programmed that no movie going experience was complete without having my popcorn and a Coke, I am amazed today to see the level of discomfort I felt at stepping outside of that conditioning. During a date with my wife today, we went to see the movie La La Land and it was the second time I have been to the movies as an adult where I consciously chose not to get any movie theater popcorn based on my past experiences rather than simply having had a huge dinner beforehand. Even with changing my diet to a foundation in whole plant foods, breaking the bond of having popcorn at the movies has provided a challenge. While for seven months I avoided any animal products in my food after reading How Not To Die and now Whole also, I selectively did not consider or have an interest in finding out whether there were animal products i

Day 57! YouTube Ads Monetization is Back! What Did I Learn?
06/01/2017 Duration: 20minHear the story of what I learned by first reacting to suggestions I should turn my ads off and then telling my subscribers that on YouTube only to discover 100 times as many viewers preferred for me to leave the ads on. I am grateful for so many kind comments about my work and for helping me see that what I thought might be an annoyance actually makes a way for you to give back to me by watching the ads without spending any money yourself. What I hope is helpful for watching this is to see how I am willing to listen to feedback, make changes in my life, and then ask for additional feedback about those changes. My goal each day is to make a 1% improvement in my life, my sobriety, my relationships, and my business because this is achievable every day. 1% might not seem like much but done repeatedly adds up to over 365% a year or 100%+ even with some days where there is a 1% step back with something such as disabling monetization on my YouTube channel! I appreciate you reading this and hope you enjoy this e
