After experiencing a 24 hour stomach virus between the last episode and this one, hear how I find the courage to show up here again today even when I can only do the episode laying in bed on my iPhone! What I hope to have explained in this episode is how I build courage on a daily basis to feel the pain that is here in exchange for making a life filled with more pleasure tomorrow. Today as I feel sick, I am amazed to see how insane I used to be to drink alcohol for short term pleasure at the expense of a miserable hangover many of the next days. Now I understand better that making short term pain and pleasure decisions like "what can I do to avoid the most pain and gain the most pleasure today" often as the probable cost of more pain and less pleasure the next day is what kept me stuck in an insane life for so long. What felt impossible to me was to break the cycle of buying a product today for a little pleasure that would bring me pain the next day in seeing how much it cost, taking a drink of alcohol wh
