Conversation Street Episode 195
16/04/2016 Duration: 02h11minOn the show this week, we talk about the episodes of Coronation Street broadcast in the UK between the 11th and the 15th April 2016. Maria's back, everyone! Did we really notice she was gone? Hardly, but at least she had a comeback storyline that we found (though certainly silly) genuinely funny. This week also saw the return of Captain Gingerbeard himself, Dodgy Dane, who provides Gary with some weed that's supposedly mellower than the last lot. Turns out that mellow is the last thing Izzy's feeling by the end of the week... Our favourite comeback of all this week though, was Crazy Nick, who's been sadly overshadowed by alter ego Boring Nick in recent months. More, please! After Street Talk, we take a look back over the past three years of Corrie and weigh up the pros and cons of Stuart Blackburn's time as producer. There's some bad news for American Corrie watchers in The Kabin, and we finish off the show with one final return - it's Tvor, back from her hols in the feedback segment!

Conversation Street Episode 194
09/04/2016 Duration: 02h24minOn our latest show, we talk about the Coronation Street episodes broadcast in the UK between the 4th and 8th April. This week, Kate and Sophie get a little too close for Caz's liking, and by the second episode on Friday the engagement's off. Maybe Saskia should take a leaf out of their book too, as it's seems obvious to us that Will's heart isn't in their wedding either. Can Michelle resist the temptation of getting back with her old flame? Meanwhile, Tim has to remind Sally of her own wedding vows, as she continues to try and change him into her idea of what a councillor's husband should be. Honestly - Weatherfield weddings really should come with a pre-nup thrown in as standard! In The Kabin, we talk about Corrie's chances in this year's British Soap Awards, then we round off the show with some reader emails. For our character profile, we peel back the folded arms and investigate the past decade on the Street for Michelle Connor.

Conversation Street Episode 193
02/04/2016 Duration: 02h31minOur latest podcast covers the episodes of Corrie broadcast in the UK between the 28th March and the 1st April. There's a new face in town this week, as Michelle's ex Will shows up at the Rovers. To be honest, we're not super excited by this storyline, although it does signal the imminent return of Steve to the cobbles, which is certainly no bad thing! Elsewhere on the Street, its time for Sarah to bring Harry home from hospital, but will she be able to live with the fact that he reminds her of Callum? At least he won't be the only son of a drug dealer on the cobbles though - there's always Jake too! This week, Gary gets some stronger weed in an attempt to help Izzy out with her pain (translation: stop her whinging on so much) and the results are... well, not intentionally funny, but they certainly gave us our biggest laugh of the week! After Street Talk, we answer some of your listener questions, including what we'd like to see as the next spin off DVD special, then after that, we discuss some recent intervie

Conversation Street Episode 192
26/03/2016 Duration: 02h12minHappy Easter, everyone! On this weekend's podcast, we talk about the episodes of Coronation Street broadcast in the UK between the 21st and the 25th March. This week, Sarah Louise and Todd get all teary when remembering their baby Billy, and not wanting to feel left out, the latest member of Team Platt chooses that moment to make an earlier than expected appearance. Meanwhile, there's a new boss at the Bistro (no Tracy, it's not you!) and following Eileen's Mike-drop last week, Mr Whippy of Weatherfield plans to head to Brighton for the summer - but can Gail stop him in time? In The Kabin segment of the show, we discuss Bill Roache's recent comments about Anne Kirkbride, before reading out a bunch of lovely listener emails in the feedback section. Our classic character profile this week is on everyone's favourite bimbo barmaid, Raquel Watts.

Conversation Street Episode 191
19/03/2016 Duration: 01h59minOn the latest Conversation Street, we chat about the episodes of Corrie shown in the UK between the 14th and the 18th March 2016. This week, Phelan's diabolical scheme to become the latest notch on Eileen's bedpost comes to fruition, giving Gail the perfect opportunity to swoop back in on Michael. Meanwhile, would-be detectives Eva and Billy (spinoff please, ITV?) go on a stakeout outside the O'Driscoll mansion when they become convinced that Marta is still inside. Finally, election day comes to Weatherfield on Friday, and although we felt it was a little anti-climactic, we were certainly pleased with the result! After Street Talk, we delve back into the discussion started last week on character archetypes, covering personalities such as the lover, the creator and the magician (we had a bit of a struggle with some of these ones!) before sharing our thoughts on Hayley Tamaddon's performance in Chicago in The Kabin. As always, we end the show with some of your lovely feedback.

Conversation Street Episode 190
12/03/2016 Duration: 02h08minOn our latest podcast, we chat about the episodes of Coronation Street broadcast in the UK between the 7th and 11th March. This week, Michael ends up in hospital after taking a tumble, giving Phelan the perfect opportunity to move in on Eileen. We're still not sure what his end game is, but we're certainly enjoying finding out! Meanwhile, Eva and Billy track down Marta, who's living rough in Bolton. By the end of the week, she's supposedly flown back to Poland, but Eva has a suspicion that it's not quite over yet. Over in the salon, there's an unexpected visitor in the form of Gemma. Nobody's particularly happy to see her at first, but when she mentions speaking to Callum recently, David smells the perfect opportunity for an alibi... Next up, we move onto the first half of a two-part feature discussion on Jungian archetypes in Corrie (quite possibly the most pretentious thing we've ever said in an episode blurb!) then discuss bizarre rumours of cast upset over dodgy props in The Kabin segment. We finish off t

Conversation Street Episode 189
05/03/2016 Duration: 01h39minThis week's episode of the podcast starts off with an obituary of Coronation Street creator Tony Warren, who sadly died this week. We then spend a bit of time discussing his achievements and legacy, before returning to Street Talk as usual. This week's discussion covers the shows broadcast in the UK between the 29th February and the 4th March - a solid set of episodes, in our opinion. We particularly liked the addition of Billy to the Marta storyline, as he's the perfect character to add another understanding, sympathetic voice to the mix. Similarly, we felt the Bethany bullying storyline was really boosted by the appearance of Todd's caring side - yes, he does have one! We didn't see much of Sally this week, which was a shame, but the extra Phelan more than made up for it - now get in there with Eileen, so Michael can go back to Gail! Next up, we head over to The Kabin to report the some shocking rumours about Sean Ward and Georgia May-Foote, before finishing off with some (attempted!) quick-fire Q&As in

Conversation Street Episode 188
28/02/2016 Duration: 01h27minThe latest episode of the podcast (and we don't just mean that we've uploaded it very late this time!) covers the episodes of Coronation Street broadcast in the UK between the 22nd and 26th February 2016. Carla vs. Tracy. Robert vs. Leanne. Sally vs. Norris. Battle lines are being drawn up and down the Street this week, but who will fall on the battle field, and who will come up smelling of oregano? Meanwhile, Chesney's still anxious about the attention that Sinead's modelling career will bring her, though at least he needn't worry about Zeedan - he's only got eyes for Rana at the moment! In The Kabin section, we talk about Sally's hilarious campaign video, and we finish things off with some listener feedback.

Conversation Street Episode 187
20/02/2016 Duration: 01h50minIn our latest podcast, we dissect the episodes of Corrie broadcast in the UK between the 15th and the 19th February. And what a messy dissection it is - we weren't that impressed with the show this week, so be prepared for a bit of criticism, especially of the never-ending Carla and Tracy feud, which is the main storyline of the week. Fortunately, Sally's political aspirations continued to provide some much needed laughter, and Phelan's just as good a baddie as ever - plus Simon's off to Portsmouth again by the end of the Monday's episodes. Every cloud has a silver lining, eh? In the Kabin, we take a look at a cool new range of Deirdre merchandise, then a bumper feedback session sees us reading a number of emails, plus uncovering a load of your lovely iTunes reviews! Our character profile this week is on Sinead Tinker.

Conversation Street Episode 186
13/02/2016 Duration: 02h11minOn our Valentine's weekend podcast, we share our love for the week of Corrie broadcast in the UK between the 8th and the 12th February. Well... not love exactly - there was a bit too much of the Leanne story for that, to be honest - but if we saw it in a bar, we'd definitely buy it a drink. What we *did* really enjoy was Sally's continuing foray into politics, and with Norris as her new campaign manager, things can surely only get funnier. Also this week, David's botch-up in the salon leaves Beth all blotched up, and after Izzy takes a tumble, she turns to Erica for an unorthodox source of pain relief. After that, we answer some more of your listener questions, including which character we thought deserved a better exit from Corrie, and what should happen to Norris now Emily's away in Peru. There are a few small news stories to discuss in The Kabin, then after listener feedback we end the show with some spoilery discussion of the latest cast member to quit the show.

Conversation Street Episode 185
06/02/2016 Duration: 01h38minThe latest Conversation Street covers the episodes of Corrie shown in the UK between the 1st and the 5th February. This week sees the mystery of the missing French fancy at Underworld, along with a number of other items from the girls' lockers. Sally, of course, pins the blames squarely on newly hired cleaner Jenny, but the identity of the actual culprit turns out to be someone that nobody would have guessed.. Sally's not the only one targeting Jenny this week either, and things are made even worse for her when she's accused of kidnapping Jack again. She's done a good job deflecting everyone's barbed comments so far, but how long will it be before Ginger snaps? In the Kabin segment of the show, we discuss Kate Oakes' recent comments about celebrity cameos and her alleged upcoming cast cull, before finishing off with some more listener feedback. Our classic character profile this week is on our favourite Corrie bimbo, Rosie Webster.

Conversation Street Episode 184
30/01/2016 Duration: 02h27minOn our latest podcast, we chat about the episodes of Coronation Street broadcast in the UK between the 25th and the 29th January in the UK. This week, dark horse Mary is in for some heartache after Brendan publically chooses his wife over her. From one slimeball to another, Phelan continues to wrap himself around pretty much everyone's finger, though with Gary back on the scene it's surely only a matter of time before things start to unravel for him. Of course, our favourite storyline of the week saw the return of ginger nutter Jenny Bradley - Rita's letting bygones be bygones and even Kevin allows her to come back to the Street, but there's definitely a mountain to climb before she can win the favour Weatherfield's fountain of unforgiveness, Sophie.. After Street Talk, we get into a lengthy discussion about some of Corrie's most famous comebacks over the years, then in The Kabin, we share some release information about a new Betty Driver CD (it's a slow news week okay?) We finish off by finding out what some

Conversation Street Episode 183
23/01/2016 Duration: 02h01minOn this week's show, we share our thoughts on the episodes of Coronation Street broadcast in the UK between the 18th and the 22nd January. We always look forward to a bit of extra drama on National Television Award week, and we weren't disappointed by the break in at the Bistro on Monday night - not least because of the awesome scene that followed it with Carla being dragged along the street by Jamie's car! Phelan's return was another great move - actor Connor McIntyre is back in fine form, adding a good dose of creepiness to the cobbles! Also this week, Sally decides to go into local politics, whilst Rita signs up to Facebook. Now, who might this lead her to get back in touch with..? The Kabin segment of the podcast is all about the NTAs this week - there are congratulations for Shayne Ward, Gemma's thoughts on the red carpet fashion, plus some amusing comments from some.. very passionate Danny Dyer fans! We finish off the show with a spot of feedback, including an intriguing question about Alex's parentage.

Conversation Street Episode 182
16/01/2016 Duration: 01h24minOn our latest podcast, we share our thoughts on the episodes of Coronation Street shown in the UK between the 11th and 15th January 2016. If you like Robert, there's a good chance you'll have enjoyed Corrie this week - with his name now above Tracy's flower shop plus a 20% share of the Bistro, it looks like it won't be long until he's taken over the whole Street! (Watch out Steve - The Rovers could be next!) Of course, we're no big fans of the greatest chef in the north, but we did enjoy watching the blossoming romance between Kevin and Anna. Things are going pretty well for them right now but we've got a Phelan that that could be changing pretty soon... After Street Talk, we answer some listener questions, including what advice we'd give Ken if we could go back to the very start of the show. There are a few small news items to cover in The Kabin, and we round off the show with a bit of feedback.

Conversation Street Episode 181
09/01/2016 Duration: 01h33minIn our first weekly review of 2016, we talk about the episodes of Coronation Street shown between the 4th and the 8th January in the UK. This week, Anna and Kevin are all loved up after he finally manages to shake off Joanne - with a little help from Anna herself! The flames of passion are also burning for Mary and Brendan, but just how much is he willing to commit when he has a wife back at home? Speaking of flames, it's Roy to the rescue on Friday, when Cathy's cache goes up in smoke - but can she forgive him for keeping quiet about Alan's letters? In the news section of the podcast, we find out which Corrie characters got the most air time in 2015, and after a little bit of listener feedback, we share our reactions to Alison King's recent bombshell in a Kabin Extra segment.

Who was the wrongest Wrong 'Un? Which entrances and exits did we like the most? And which young character will be crowned the winner of our inaugural Our Kid award? Conversation Street Episode 179
12/12/2015 Duration: 02h27sOn our latest podcast, we dissect the episodes of Coronation Street broadcast in the UK between the 7th and 11th November. After Rob's reappearance last Friday, we get to find out this week exactly what he's up to, and it all revolves around a certain Connor family secret. No, it's nothing to do with Michelle's seemingly forgotten real son Alex, although it does concern the parentage of another of the Street's residents... Meanwhile, there's some wrinkly romping going on at Number 1, as Ken invites Nessa to stay the night, and the secret's out about Sarah's pregnancy, but can Kylie keep schtum? After Street Talk, we lift the lid on the Conversation Street Awards 2015. Voting is open now at this link, with the Award Show itself planned to take place in about three weeks' time. In the Kabin segment, we take a look at some of the Corrie merch that's been selling on eBay, then we finish off the show with some more listener

Conversation Street Episode 178
05/12/2015 Duration: 01h55minOn the latest podcast, we chat about the episodes of Corrie broadcast in the UK between the 27th November and the 4th December. This week, Aiden reaches the next level in shirt unbuttoning - his rugged manliness may not impress us, but it certainly gets the attention of a newly returned Sarah. By the end of the week she's got a lot more to think about, though, after she discovers she's pregnant with Callum's baby! The question is, is she going to keep it, or make it "do one"? Meanwhile, Craig worries about taking his relationship with Caitlin to the next level, whilst Carla shows no such qualms with Nick - in fact, by Wednesday, the couple are engaged! In the Kabin, we talk about the rumoured return of three classic characters, before hearing some listeners' opinions on Dev and Erica's blossoming friendship. The character profile this week is on Tony Stewart.

Conversation Street Episode 177
28/11/2015 Duration: 01h17minThis podcast covers the episodes of Coronation Street broadcast in the UK between the 23rd and 26th November - we were so busy yesterday that we still haven't had a chance to watch Friday's shows! In any case, with an extra episode on Thursday this week, there was plenty to get our teeth into, including Luke's high stakes race on Monday, Gary's return to the cobbles, and Leanne's confession (at last!) that Simon's been hitting her. In the Kabin, we discuss yesterday's reports (later denied by ITV) that Corrie is to feature a storyline about Muslim extremism - is there any way they could get such a controversial topic to work? We hear some of your opinions on Kate and Caz in the feedback section, before finishing off with some chat about upcoming cast comings and goings in a Kabin Extra.

Conversation Street Episode 176
21/11/2015 Duration: 01h59minOn the podcast this week we share our thought on the episodes of Corrie broadcast in the UK between the 16th and the 20th November. This week, we're introduced to Kate's fiancée Caz, who's clearly up for getting married as soon as possible - however, it seems like her feelings may not be reciprocated... Speaking of short engagements, Liz and Tony are barely betrothed for five minutes on Monday when she finally reveals she's been stringing him along all this time. Meanwhile, Simon's reign of terror over Leanne continues - how much more will she be able to take before she retaliates? Next up, we take a look at what the World Wide Web has to offer for fans of all things Corrie, before learning about Hayley Tamaddon's latest endeavour in The Kabin. We round off the episode for some more Liz and Tony chat in the feedback section.
