In the second segment, it's the return of Trailer Trash, and the crew go over The Lorax, War Horse, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy and finally The Sitter. Thanks for listening, guys! Box Office Poison: Episode 18
29/10/2011 Duration: 01h10minA bit of a short show this time, folks. Jonny and Stan couldn't make recording, so it's just Mike Sklens, Jon Rind and myself. But we made do, with talk on Batman: Year One, The Ides of March, Paranormal Activity 3 and even some debate on Back to the Future III. In the second segment, we dicussed our Movie of the Month: In Bruges. We'd all seen it before, and we pretty much spend the whole segment gushing about it. Next month, it's Mike's pick, and we'll be talking about Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon. Thanks for listening, guys! If you have anything to say, let us know via email (crosstawk@gmail.com), Twitter (@crosstawk) or in the comments section on the site.

Hardcore Nerdography: Episode 11
19/10/2011 Duration: 01h01minMike, Amanda and Dante are back for some good ol' fashioned hard-nerding. Now, before you listen, you should know that there's a bit of an audio issue at the beginning. Due to some unfortunate recording settings, the first few minutes of audio are very, very low in volume, while the intro music is the normal volume. So don't crank it up and then blow your ears out, please! A few minutes into the show, this is corrected and stays consistent throughout. Sorry, guys - this happens sometimes. Volume troubles aside, this is a fantastic episode, andI know you'll enjoy it just as much as I did! And if you have any thoughts of your own, let us know via email (crosstawk@gmail.com), Twitter (@crosstawk, @StrikerObi, @supinternets and @theothernorbit) or in the comments section on the site! Come back in a couple days for Discover Music Project!

Crosstawk Presents: Our Thoughts on iPhone 4S and iOS 5
12/10/2011 Duration: 01h56minIt's the eve of iOS 5, and iPhone 4S is just about to hit the market, so we thought it'd be fun to give our take on the new hardware (or lack thereof) as well as the latest release of Apple's mobile OS. And to do that, we had to bring in a rather large crew. Aside from myself, there's Jonathan Metts and Andy Goergen, Grant Buell and Mike Sklens. All of our opinions were slightly different, so I think we had the full spectrum of reactions. Want to let us know your thoughts? Let us know via email (crosstawk@gmail.com), Twitter (@crosstawk) or on the site. As for the other guys, you can follow them on Twitter as follows: @DrewMG (Andy), @grantbuell (Grant), @jonnymetts (Jonny) and @StrikerObi (Mike). Thanks for listening, everyone. We'll see you in a few days for a new Box Office Poison!

Discover Music Project: Episode 28
07/10/2011 Duration: 01h15minAnother friend makes his podcast debut: Taylor Hill, Jonny's former college roommate and travel companion, joins DMP to share his love of Van Morrison. After hearing these songs, you too will be a fan of the legendary Northern Irish troubadour. Van's music is mysterious, magnetic, and almost always catchy. His skill at arranging strings and horns for pop music is perhaps rivaled only by Stevie Wonder. If you've only heard "Brown-Eyed Girl", prepare to be blown away! Here's the set list: 1. Gloria (Them) 2. Baby Please Don't Go (Them) 3. Astral Weeks (Astral Weeks) 4. Cry For Home feat. Tom Jones (The Best of Van Morrison, Vol. 3) 5. Days Like This (Days Like This) 6. Caravan (Moondance) 7. St. Dominic's Preview (St. Dominic's Preview) 8. Redwood Tree (St. Dominic's Preview) 9. Bright Side of the Road (Into the Music) 10. Sweet Thing (Astral Weeks) 11. Wild Night (Tupelo Honey) Encore: Patti Smith - ??? (You'll have to listen to find out!) As always, we'd love to hear your feedback and show ideas -- just ema

Box Office Poison: Episode 16
01/10/2011 Duration: 01h48minOne day late, perhaps, but still packing quite a punch! First off, Jon Rind has graciously accepted the prestigious position of Regular Cast Member, and will be joining us for every BOP from here on out! Secondly, since Mike couldn't make it for the first segment, his girlfriend Amanda joined in. You'll, of course, know her from various appearances on Rough Draught as well as the regular co-host on Hardcore Nerdography. In the first segment, there's plenty to discuss, from Drive to Contagion to Uncle Boonmee Who Can Recall His Past Lives. We even get into some super hero movies, too. And I believe Stan watched another ridiculously bad movie for Agony Booth, so there's plenty of that kind of talk as well. After the break Mike jumps in for Amanda to jabber about our Movie of the Month: Stan's pick, The Great Silence. Did we all love the spaghetti western, or did it feel too dated and badly-dubbed? You'll have to listen in to find out. For those of you who like to play along, next month is my pick: In Bruges. If

16/09/2011 Duration: 01h26minHello there, and welcome to the first ever BI-WEEKLY episode of Box Office Poison. Crosstawk 100: Rediscovering the Birthday Special
14/09/2011 Duration: 33minHey, folks! So today will mark the 100th release from Crosstawk.com. It's amazing to see how far we've come since the first episode of Rough Draught debuted in June of 2010, and I'm really excited for what we've got cooking going forward. But to commemerate this special occasion, I figured I'd release a classic from the TAWK-112 days that, up until now, had gone unreleased for being a little too hot for TV. It was recorded almost three years ago on my 20th birthday in Tallahassee, and stars not only the full TAWK crew, but more than a few guest voices. I'll let you discover it on your own, but if you're a fan of drunk podcasting, well, you're in for a treat. Thanks so much for supporting us throughout these first hundred episodes, guys! We really appreciate it. Here's to a hundred more!

Discover Music Project: Episode 26
09/09/2011 Duration: 01h22minOn this international episode of DMP, you'll meet Jonny's old officemate and very dear friend, Ryan. He's Canadian/American and delivers an authentic gift of Northern music from Canada's favorite rock band, The Tragically Hip. Although these guys are virtually unknown in the States, you'll probably wonder why as their music is accessible, fun, and often thought-provoking. Nothing to fear here; a couple of hockey references never hurt anyone, and the Hip's musical style is quite similar to well-known bands like Pearl Jam, U2, and the Black Crowes. Ryan caps off the show with yet another Canadian rock band for the encore. How will Jonny respond in the next episode? Come back in two weeks to find out! 1. Grace, Too (Live Between Us) 2. Fireworks (Phantom Power) 3. Little Bones (Road Apples) 4. Fiddlers Green (Road Apples) 5. New Orleans is Sinking (Live Between Us) 6. Gift Shop (Live Between Us) 7. Wheat Kings (Fully Completely) 8. Fifty-Mission Cap (Fully Completely) 9. Poets (Phantom Power) 10. Music@Work (Mu

Box Office Poison: Episode 14
05/09/2011 Duration: 02h30minWe're a little late, and I apologize for that, but I'll never apologize for the greatness that is this episode! With Mike Sklens unable to record, Stan, Jonny and I got on the mic as a trio and discussed a whole crapton of flicks, from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory to Kick-Ass to Captain America and Rise of the Planet of the Apes. In our second segment, it was Jonny's pick for the Movie of the Month, so we had a nice, long conversation about Return to Oz. Was the sequel to the beloved classic a worthy follow-up? You'll have to listen in to find out. While I've got you here, go on over to iTunes and leave us a review. If you don't do it, worlds will live, worlds will die and nothing will ever be the same again. Do you want that on your conscience? In any case, thanks for listening, folks! Next week will see the return of Discover Music Project!
