S8 - Muazh Ibn Jabal (ra) - Muazh رضي الله عنه was paired as a brother with Jafar Ibn Abu Talib! رضي الله عن
29/07/2025 Duration: 23minMuazh Ibn Jabal رضي الله عنه (S8) Our Mother, Safiya (a.s): “I was the closest child to my father and uncle. They always showed love to me, picking me up [etc]. When The Messenger ﷺ first arrived in Quba, my father Huyay and uncle Abu Yasir went to enquire - they went before sunrise and returned at sunset. They were so tired they didn’t even lift me up as they usually did. My uncle said to my father: ‘Is it really him? [ﷺ] what is your intention?’, my father replied: ‘It is certainly him! But I will show hatred and enmity!’”. We can see the eagerness of Bani Israel to identify this was the final Messenger ﷺ. However, when they found out he was an Arab, they rejected him! Such racism has no place in Islam, unfortunately we see this being practiced today… This event would’ve had a positive impact on the blessed heart of our mother (رضي الله عنها). Muazh رضي الله عنه was paired as a brother with Jafar Ibn Abu Talib! رضي الله عنه An honour for the both of them. Jafar رضي الله عنه was in Abyssinia when this

S7 - Muazh Ibn Jabal (ra) - Some more of the blessed martyrs of Uhud
29/07/2025 Duration: 30minMuazh Ibn Jabal رضي الله عنه (S7) Some more of the blessed martyrs of Uhud: Hamza, Musab, Hanza, Sa’ad Ibn Rabee, Kharija Ibn Zayd, Yaman, Thaabit Ibn Waqash, Mukhayriq, Usayrim and of course the living martyr: Talha رضي الله عنهم. Muazh Ibn Jabal رضي الله عنه was often seen trying to make the Jews see the light. The Jews always mentioned that the final Messenger (ﷺ) was coming and that they’d side with him to beat the Ansar, however when our Messenger ﷺ came and was from the Arabs, they rejected him. Muazh رضي الله عنه said to them, why do you now reject him? You told us of his arrival! Surah [2:59] was then revealed. Another time, Muazh رضي الله عنه, Sa’ad Ibn Muazh and kharija Ibn Zayd رضي الله عنهم asked the Jews about information in the Torah, which they concealed. Thus was revealed surah [2:159]. Such was a young and courageous Muazh Ibn Jabal رضي الله عنه.

S6 - Muazh Ibn Jabal (ra) - The Messenger ﷺ loved the martyrs of so much, that he yearned to be buried with them.
29/07/2025 Duration: 25minMuazh Ibn Jabal رضي الله عنه (S6) When Amr Ibn al-Jamooh and his son, Khalaad رضي الله عنهم were martyred at Uhud, Amr’s wife رضي الله عنهم came with a camel to bring the bodies back to Madinah. When the bodies were placed on the camel, it wouldn’t stand until it was struck - however it would not face Madinah, and wanted to stay at Uhud. The Messenger ﷺ said that the camel was ordered to do this! Amr’s wife رضي الله عنهم informed the Messenger ﷺ of Amr’s dua, that he didn’t want to return to his people (I.e martyrdom), which was accepted. اَللَّٰهُ أَكْبَرُ. A period of time had passed (one report says ~37 years), and when water was flowing into the gravesite of Uhud, the graves had to be exhumed. When they saw the bodies of Amr Ibn al-Jamooh and Abdullah Ibn Amr Ibn Haram رضي الله عنهم, they looked as if they were buried yesterday! The people moved the hand of Abdullah رضي الله عنه , and he had a wound which the hand was covering. When the hand was moved, blood began pouring out and the hand returned bac

29/07/2025 Duration: 33minMuazh Ibn Jabal رضي الله عنه (S5) Amr Ibn Jamooh رضي الله عنه had 3 sons; Muazh, Mu’awad and Khalaad رضي الله عنهم, who were all Badris. Khalaad was martyred alongside his father, Amr, at Uhud. Muazh Ibn Amr رضي الله عنهم was one of those who attacked Abu Jahl at Badr. He cut off his leg, and it flew like kernel. Muazh was struck and his forearm was almost fully severed. He then stretched it and ripped it off - grieving that he didn’t get to finish of Abu Jahl! Amr Ibn Jamooh رضي الله عنه was excused to fight at Badr, due to a limp. He رضي الله عنه fought at Uhud. He was martyred and buried alongside his best friend, Abdullah Ibn Amr Ibn Haram رضي الله عنه, his nephew and his freed slave رضي الله عنهم.

S4 - Muazh Ibn Jabal (ra) - Amr Ibn al-Jamooh’s (رضي الله عنه) journey to Islam
29/07/2025 Duration: 29minMuazh Ibn Jabal رضي الله عنه (S4) Amr Ibn al-Jamooh’s (رضي الله عنه) journey to Islam: He was the chief of Banu Salamah. He had the idol ‘Manaf’ in his dwelling. When Musab Ibn Umayr رضي الله عنه originally came to preach, Amr called and said: “what is this religion?”. Musab رضي الله عنه said set a time and date and we shall discuss and so they did. Musab رضي الله عنه recited Surah Yusuf, verses 1-2 which moved Amr! Amr’s entire family had embraced Islam (رضي الله عنهم) but he was the only one yet to do so. A group gathered, including Muazh Ibn Amr, who is his son, and Muazh Ibn Jabal رضي الله عنهم who would take the idol from Amr’s رضي الله عنه house and chucked it into a well. They tied a dead dog to it also. When Amr saw this, Imaan entered his heart. He declared to his people: “O my people! Do you not follow my religion? We will follow the religion of Muhammad ﷺ”. Amr رضي الله عنه would later say in poetry: “I was in a dark grave (I.e his previous religion). And Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وتَعَالَى brought u

As death approached Abu Bakr (ra) stated, This is a time when a Kaafir accepts faith, a sinner develops fear for Allaah SWT and even a liar speaks the truth, view v227. Where poetry is condemned in certain narrations, it is with the purpose that one should not get engrossed so much in it that he neglects his worships and The Quran.

29/07/2025 Duration: 38minSurah 26 The Poets v218-220 Session 25 And we see your movements amongst those who prostrate themselves (Surah 26:219). The Messenger ﷺ is the best in ancestry (Baihaqi). Poetry from Abbas (ra) after the return journey from Tabook... Before it, you ﷺ enjoyed the shade of Paradise, within the glade where first the leaves were plucked (ie for you were already within the Blessed loins of Adam [A.S] before the fall) And then you alighted upon earth, neither a human being, nor a piece of flesh nor a clot. A drop that sailed within the Ark whilst mighty floods washed Nasr away, and put pay to his worshippers (Nasr was one of the idols in the time of Nooh [A.S] Soorah Nooh [as] 71 23). From loin to womb you ﷺ travelled through the ages and all the while worlds and generations passed on, each by each. O coolness for the Friend's [Ibrahim A.S] furnace, O reason for protection from the fire despite its burning! Until your line, preserved from any fault, arrived to Khinzhif, a plateau above a wide expanse ("kh

S3 - Muazh Ibn Jabal (ra) - The second pledge of Aqabah: Musab and the Ansar رضي الله عنهم returned to Makkah
23/07/2025 Duration: 24minMuazh Ibn Jabal رضي الله عنه (S3) The second pledge of Aqabah: Musab and the Ansar رضي الله عنهم returned to Makkah alongside with some polytheists to not blow their cover - this was during the Hajj season, in the days of Tashreek, in Dhul Hijjah. Musab رضي الله عنه was given the title: ‘The Mentor’. ~70 of the Ansar رضي الله عنهم went in ones and twos to meet our Messenger ﷺ in Mina. This time, the pledge was more full of commandments, including that they رضي الله عنهم must obey in times of hardship and ease, must defend the Messenger ﷺ as they do their wives and children etc. All the Ansar agreed and gave the pledge. Included in this pledge was Muazh’s mother, Hind رضي الله عنهم. Ka’ab Ibn Malik رضي الله عنه said that the second pledge of Aqabah was greater than Badr! Such is the status of Mina - where 70 Prophets (a.s) were born and where ~70 companions رضي الله عنهم gave the pledge to The Messenger ﷺ.

S2 - Muazh Ibn Jabal (ra) - In the 12th year of Prophethood, was the first pledge of Aqabah
23/07/2025 Duration: 31minMuazh Ibn Jabal رضي الله عنه (S2) In the year of grief, Abu Taalib and Khadija (a.s) had passed away. After preaching for 10 years, the Quraysh still barely followed the Messenger ﷺ - He (ﷺ) went to Ta’if and had stones thrown at him. He then asked his uncle Abaas رضي الله عنه if he could accompany him to the Uqas fair to preach. The people there took the message but didn’t accept it out of fear of the Quraysh. In the 11th year of Prophethood, our Messenger ﷺ met 6 members of the Khazraj tribe and preached to them (رضي الله عنهم). They heard the Jews in Madinah speaking of the final Prophet ﷺ and how they’d join him to beat the Khazraj - so the Khazraj men embraced it first! This meeting was a prerequisite to the first Pledge of Aqaba, which occurred in the 11th year of Prophethood. The Khazraj returned and now every household knew who our Messenger ﷺ was. In the 12th year of Prophethood, was the first pledge of Aqabah. 12 men from the Ansar رضي الله عنهم went to meet the Messenger ﷺ during Hajj. Th

S1 - Muazh Ibn Jabal (ra) - A physical description: Muazh رضي الله عن
23/07/2025 Duration: 19minMuazh Ibn Jabal رضي الله عنه (S1) Our Beloved Messenger ﷺ said: “What an excellent man is Abu Bakr. What an excellent man is Umar. What an excellent man is Abu Ubaydah. What an excellent man is Usayd Ibn Khudair. What an excellent man is Thaabit Ibn Qais. What an excellent man is Muazh Ibn Amr Ibn Jamooh. What an excellent man is Muazh Ibn Jabal [رضي الله عنهم]. What a foul man is (so and so). What a foul man is (so and so)”. Thus, what an honour it is for Muazh رضي الله عنه to be mentioned with the 2 Shaykhs, and Ameen ul-Ummah رضي الله عنهم. A physical description: Muazh رضي الله عنه was an incredibly handsome youth. He had a most handsome physique. He was tall, had beautiful teeth that appeared like lightning. Large eyes, and curly hair. Inwardly, he had a most beautiful character, extremely generous and wouldn’t say no! His age: Muazh Ibn Jabal رضي الله عنه was around 20 - 21 years old when he fought at Badr! Thus, he رضي الله عنه was born around 5 years before the Messenger ﷺ received revelation. (

S66 FINAL- Hadrat Mugheerah ibn Shu'uba (ra) - Where was Mugheera رضي الله عنه buried?
23/07/2025 Duration: 20minal-Mugheera Ibn Shu’ba رضي الله عنه (S66) Where was Mugheera رضي الله عنه buried? It appears, and Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وتَعَالَى knows best, that Mugheera رضي الله عنه is buried in Iraq, where the Shia have built a shrine for Ali! رضي الله عنه. Ali رضي الله عنه was martyred ~40 A.H. No one ever visited Najaf, Iraq (where the modern day shrine is) for ~360 years, believing that Ali رضي الله عنه was buried there. This was innovated after centuries and a shrine was built, although the actual companion buried there is Mugheera رضي الله عنه - ironic. Some verses in relation to the companions رضي الله عنهم - thus also al-Mugheera رضي الله عنه: Surah [80-13-16] - Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وتَعَالَى mentions ‘Honoured scribes’. Some scholars state this includes the scribes of our Messenger ﷺ, thus Mugheera! رضي الله عنه Surah [57:10] - the famous verse, those who spent and fought before the victory (Hudaybeeya) are greater than those after. al-Mugheera رضي الله عنه belonging to the elites of course. S65 - Hadrat Mugheerah ibn Shu'uba (ra) - The Kufans grieved over Mugheera’s رضي الله عنه passing
18/07/2025 Duration: 23minal-Mugheera Ibn Shu’ba رضي الله عنه (S65) When al-Mugheera رضي الله عنه passed away, Jarir Ibn Abdullah رضي الله عنه said to the Kufans: “Ask for Afiyah for your governor [i.e Mugheera رضي الله عنه], because he used to love Afiyah”. The Kufans grieved over Mugheera’s رضي الله عنه passing. Afiyah is a means of protection, security and forgiveness, it aids us in this life and the next. It was this that our Messenger ﷺ advised his uncle, Abaas رضي الله عنه to ask for. No one has been given anything better after certainty, than Afiyah. Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وتَعَالَى loves being asked for Afiyah, over anything. During his lifetime, Mugheera رضي الله عنه advised not to wail over the deceased. When one of the Ansar, Qarza Ibn Ka’ba رضي الله عنه passed away, the people wailed. Mugheera رضي الله عنه said: “What has wailing got to do with Islam? I heard the Messenger ﷺ say: ‘The one who is wailed over, will be punished’.”. (Punishment here meaning a mental discomfort is to be felt by the deceased. Excessive praise i

S64 - Hadrat Mugheerah ibn Shu'uba (ra) - In 50 A.H, during Mugheera’s رضي الله عنه seventh year ruling Kufa, the Angel of Death (a.s) arrived.
17/07/2025 Duration: 25minal-Mugheera Ibn Shu’ba رضي الله عنه (S64) In 50 A.H, during Mugheera’s رضي الله عنه seventh year ruling Kufa, the Angel of Death (a.s) arrived. A once muscular Mugheera رضي الله عنه was now old and pale. There was a plague in Kufa, thus it’s possible Mugheera رضي الله عنه was martyred by the plague. Thus passed away; The handsome, genius and one of the four shrewdest Arabs. The best fruit from Ta’if. The one who destroyed Laat. The one who our Messenger ﷺ called his beloved son. The last to physically touch our Messenger ﷺ. Governor of Bahrain, Busra and Kufa. The warrior for Allah’s سُبْحَانَهُ وتَعَالَى sake. The grand nephew of Urwah Ibn Masood رضي الله عنه - al-Mugheera Ibn Shu’ba! رضي الله عنه He رضي الله عنه was martyred in Sha’baan, 50 A.H, aged ~80. Plagues were a punishment for previous Ummahs, however for ours, due to our Messenger ﷺ making a dua, they are a means of martyrdom for us.
