S46 - Muazh Ibn Jabal (ra) - Muazh’s رضي الله عنه heartbreaking return to the grave of The Messenger ﷺ
03/09/2025 Duration: 32minMuazh Ibn Jabal رضي الله عنه (S46) Muazh’s رضي الله عنه heartbreaking return to the grave of The Messenger ﷺ. Muazh رضي الله عنه was weeping by the grave, recalling words of The Messenger ﷺ: “Even a little bit showing off is Shirk”, “Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وتَعَالَى loves those are upright and righteous. Those when absent, no one asks of them. Those when present, no one asks of them”. Glad tidings to the strangers… Hasan al-Basri (r.h): “The believers knowledge is in their deeds. The Munafiqs knowledge is in their tongues”. Abu Ayub al-Ansari رضي الله عنه places his face on the blessed grave of The Messenger ﷺ. He says: “This is not stone, this is The Messenger of Allah [سُبْحَانَهُ وتَعَالَى] ﷺ”. Some incorrectly assume the grave of The Messenger ﷺ is mere stone and dirt. This couldn’t be further from the truth… Bilal رضي الله عنه would also weep and place his face on the grave of The Messenger ﷺ. Muazh رضي الله عنه was ~31 years old now.

S43 - Muazh Ibn Jabal (ra) - Can a Muslim Inherit from a non-Muslim relative?
02/09/2025 Duration: 23minMuazh Ibn Jabal رضي الله عنه (S43) Can a Muslim Inherit from a non-Muslim relative? The 4 Imams (r.h) agree there is no inheritance from a non-Muslim relative. Embracing Islam at someone’s hands, now makes that person an inheritor, only if the new revert doesn’t have any Muslim relatives. If the new revert had Muslim relatives, then they are the ones to inherit. Can Zakat al-Fitr be given in money? Or does it need be given in dates, barely, raising etc.

S42 - Muazh Ibn Jabal (ra) - Apostasy has been greatly misunderstood in Islam:
02/09/2025 Duration: 35minMuazh Ibn Jabal رضي الله عنه (S42) Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وتَعَالَى has said: “For a believing servant, when I take away someone beloved to him from this world, I will grant him nothing other than Paradise”. (To be entitled to this, one must expect reward and be patient). Apostasy has been greatly misunderstood in Islam: Apostates may only be killed if they are treacherous to the Islamic state - them leaving Islam is not the reason they are killed. Female apostates can not be killed whatsoever. (Abu Bakr رضي الله عنه took care of this matter - not killing them). Umar رضي الله عنه heard of some men who had left Islam, and joined the Kuffar to fight the Muslims, and they died. He رضي الله عنه still said he would’ve given them 3 days to repent, and if they chose to remain disbelievers he still wouldn’t have killed them. Thus: it is not due to the fact that people leave Islam they are killed. They are only killed if once they leave, they cause havoc, they poison the people and attack the Islamic state.

S41 - Muazh Ibn Jabal (ra) - One of Muazh’s رضي الله عنه sons passed away in Yemen…
01/09/2025 Duration: 31minMuazh Ibn Jabal رضي الله عنه (S41) Muazh رضي الله عنه recited Surah [4:125] during Salah (that Prophet Ibraaheem ﷺ is the Khaleel of Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وتَعَالَى). A man in the congregation said: “How pleased must have Ibraaheem’s (a.s) mother (رضي الله عنها) been when she heard this!”. Indeed She رضي الله عنها was. Nabi Ibraaheem’s (a.s) mother was called Ameela رضي الله عنها. She embraced Ibraaheem (a.s) in the fire and kissed him - and was unscathed. Thus, سُبْحَانَ ٱللَّهِ, it was this Messenger (a.s) that Abdullah Ibn Masood رضي الله عنه said Muazh رضي الله عنه is like! One of Muazh’s رضي الله عنه sons passed away in Yemen…

The Divine Mercy of Earthquakes
01/09/2025 Duration: 25minThe Divine Mercy of Earthquakes Earthquakes occur due to the proliferation of fornication, intoxicants, music and singing. For the believers this is a lesson, Mercy and a blessing. For the infidels the earthquake is abandonment, punishment and indignation. 'A believer is afflicted due to 2 reasons; due to a sin and due to a high status that cannot be achieved by good deeds.' When Allah SWT intends good for a person then the punishment is quickend... if a servant is to be harmed the punishmnet is witheld till the Last Day (Tirmidhi). Having a good opinion of others is beautiful worship (Ahmad). Destiny is a Secret of Allah SWT so do not attempt to disclose it (Ibn Adee).

S40 - Muazh Ibn Jabal (ra) - The Messenger ﷺ: “The best amongst you are those who are best to their women”.
29/08/2025 Duration: 28minMuazh Ibn Jabal رضي الله عنه (S40) Muazh رضي الله عنه: “A woman cannot fulfill the rights of her husband. Strive your best to do so”. The Messenger ﷺ: “If a woman knew her husbands rights, she wouldn’t sit whilst he was eating, she’d wait till he had finished”. The Messenger ﷺ: “…Men are the Sayeds of their families. Women are the Sayedas of their homes”. The Messenger ﷺ: “The best amongst you are those who are best to their women”. A man may fall short in Salah, Zakat, Fasting etc - but if he treats his women with utmost care, then he is the best amongst us. May Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وتَعَالَى allow us to carry out such noble acts.

27/08/2025 Duration: 28minMuazh Ibn Jabal رضي الله عنه (S39) The final parting: Muazh رضي الله عنه was mounted on his beast, and The Messenger ﷺ was walking beside him. 27/08/2025 Duration: 32minMuazh Ibn Jabal رضي الله عنه (S38) The Messenger ﷺ advised Muazh رضي الله عنه: “Be modest of Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وتَعَالَى, as you are before a man of your family who you have awe for”. When Muazh رضي الله عنه set off for Yemen, The Messenger ﷺ called him back and said: “Do not take anything without my permission. If you do, it is ‘ghulool’”. The very last thing The Messenger ﷺ said to Muazh رضي الله عنه: Muazh رضي الله عنه asked what deed is most beloved to Allah? سُبْحَانَهُ وتَعَالَى. The Messenger ﷺ replied: “To have a tongue moist with zhikr when death comes to you”.

25/08/2025 Duration: 26minMuazh Ibn Jabal رضي الله عنه (S37) The Messenger ﷺ advised Muazh رضي الله عنه: “Make your religion sincere, then a few deeds will be sufficient”. Sincerity magnifies the value of a deed, no matter how small it is. The Messenger ﷺ advised Muazh رضي الله عنه: “Fear Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وتَعَالَى wherever you are. When you sin, do a good deed to wipe it out. Treat people in a beautiful way”. 3 traits harden the heart; Love of food, love of sleep and love of ease. Accustom your nafs to discomfort, we are in prison - who beautifies their prison cell?

S35 - Muazh Ibn Jabal (ra) - Muazh رضي الله عنه relates the event where water was scarce during Tabook.
25/08/2025 Duration: 27minMuazh Ibn Jabal رضي الله عنه (S35) Muazh رضي الله عنه relates the event where water was scarce during Tabook. The Messenger ﷺ makes dua and a miracle takes place. The water from the well is enough for all 30,000 to drink to their fill and lasted them the 20 days they were at Tabook! The Messenger ﷺ to Muazh رضي الله عنه: “If you live long enough, you’ll see what is here is enough to fill many gardens”. As always, true were the words of The Messenger ﷺ, Tabook to this day is full of beautiful, serene greenery. Surah [9:117] mentions that Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وتَعَالَى has forgiven the Muhajireen and the Ansar رضي الله عنهم who were with The Messenger ﷺ during the ‘Hour of Hardship’ I.e Tabook.

S34 - Muazh Ibn Jabal (ra) - The Messenger ﷺ: “Whoever defends his brother in his absence, Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وتَعَالَى will defend him in this life and the next”.
25/08/2025 Duration: 29minMuazh Ibn Jabal رضي الله عنه (S34) Muazh رضي الله عنه defended Ka’ab Ibn Malik رضي الله عنه when the latter was absent at Tabook. (Ka’ab رضي الله عنه was a giant - one of those who pledged at Aqabah and was paired with Talha رضي الله عنه). The Messenger ﷺ: “Whoever defends his brother in his absence, Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وتَعَالَى will defend him in this life and the next”. Your face is also protected from the fire. Muazh رضي الله عنه once again showing he is a walking Qur’an. Qais Ibn Matatiah is racist towards Salman, Bilal and Suhayb رضي الله عنهم - these 3 titans were non-Arabs. Muazh رضي الله عنه grabs Qais by the collar and takes him to The Messenger ﷺ who was furious upon hearing this. Time and time again, The Messenger ﷺ tells us we are one Ummah. Races, borders, countries are all man made to divide us. Truly, whoever is racist is following the path of Shaytaan and Abu Jahl! Indeed, what a disgraceful path to follow…

S33 - Muazh Ibn Jabal (ra) - Muazh رضي الله عنه participated in all of the expeditions during The Messenger’s ﷺ lifetime
21/08/2025 Duration: 25minMuazh Ibn Jabal رضي الله عنه (S33) Whilst we fight battles with shaytaan between good deeds and sins, Muazh رضي الله عنه was battling between the better of 2 good deeds - such was the level of his Taqwa. Muazh رضي الله عنه participated in all of the expeditions during The Messenger’s ﷺ lifetime. He was ~20 years old at Badr. The Messenger ﷺ instructed Muazh رضي الله عنه to stay in Makkah during the battle of Hunayn, to teach the new reverts about Islam, using the Qur’an. Teaching the faith to your brothers and sisters is also like Jihad - a unique honour for Muazh رضي الله عنه.

S32 - Muazh Ibn Jabal (ra) - The Messenger ﷺ: “The little and sufficient is better than the abundant and alluring”.
20/08/2025 Duration: 25minMuazh Ibn Jabal رضي الله عنه (S32) Muazh رضي الله عنه warns the people of a severe test: Ease. Many assume difficulties are a harder test, however ease is a much bigger concern. It is a greater threat to progress than difficulty. The Messenger ﷺ: “The little and sufficient is better than the abundant and alluring”. Abu Bakr رضي الله عنه advised the Companions (رضي الله عنهم): “…It is better for you to be beheaded than swim in the intoxications of this world”. Hasan Ibn Ali رضي الله عنهم: “The least of the world is sufficient. The whole of it doesn’t enrich you”.

S31 - Muazh Ibn Jabal (ra) - Time and wealth must be divided equally between one’s wives
19/08/2025 Duration: 27minMuazh Ibn Jabal رضي الله عنه (S31) Muazh رضي الله عنه had 2 wives. He رضي الله عنه was so cautious about their rights, if it was the turn of one of the wives, he wouldn’t make wudhu nor drink water from the other wives dwelling! When both wives were martyred by the plague of Amwas, he drew lots to determine which to bury first - ensuring equality right till the very end. Time and wealth must be divided equally between one’s wives. If one fears he cannot do this, he must marry one woman. (Surah [4:3]) Muazh رضي الله عنه had utmost ghayrah. This was a fitting trait, being as he is from the Khazraj tribe, whose leader was Sa’ad Ibn Ubadah رضي الله عنه, another man having utmost Ghayrah. A true sign of the greatness of a man can be seen by how he treats his women - Muazh رضي الله عنه as usual, was chasing the highest standard.

S30 - Muazh Ibn Jabal (ra) - A glimpse into his Taqwa:
18/08/2025 Duration: 27minMuazh Ibn Jabal رضي الله عنه (S30) Muazh رضي الله عنه was once walking with a man when he suddenly picked up a stone and moved it out the way. The man enquired. Muazh رضي الله عنه said that he heard The Messenger ﷺ say: “Whoever removes a stone/rock from the pathway, he will be granted a Hasanah. Whoever has one Hasanah, will enter Paradise”. Muazh رضي الله عنه took every opportunity to do a good deed - not belittling any of them. Had not come true the dua that The Messenger ﷺ taught Muazh? رضي الله عنه An immense worshipper, who came to conquer, not complete. A glimpse into his Taqwa: Muazh رضي الله عنه said: “Whoever wilfully knows who is stood to his right or left whilst praying, has not truly prayed”.

18/08/2025 Duration: 31minMuazh Ibn Jabal رضي الله عنه (S29) Muazh رضي الله عنه advised his friend: You are guaranteed your Rizq, but not guaranteed success in the next life. So strive for the Hereafter, and don’t over chase the pointless excess of this life. The Messenger ﷺ: “Whoever arises with this world as his greater concern, will feel panic and anxiety. You will not receive anything except that which is in your Rizq. Whoever arises with the Hereafter as his greater concern, will feel peace and serenity and the world will come to him willingly or unwillingly”. Walk to your Rizq. Race to Paradise. Flee to Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وتَعَالَى.
