Which characters have shone above all the rest, to be crowned Top Lad and Top Lass? Which shocking moment aroused the biggest By 'Eck? Whose nefarious deeds have seen them crowned the 2013's Wrong 'Un? And Flamin' Nora! Just who has been the gingerest of the gingers? All this and more, including the winner of the prestigious That's Champion award for best storyline, are revealed in Episode 75!

On this week's episode of Conversation Street, we discuss the Christmas episodes of Corrie, broadcast in the UK between the 22nd and the 27th December. Father Christmas' Naughty List must be extra long this year, after Nick smacks Leanne, Kylie ends up behind bars, and Tina and Peter steal another kiss... and we don't think he takes too kindly to people knocking down Christmas trees either, Hayley! (Okay, maybe we'll let it slide, under the circumstances...) At least we had the comedy antics of Steve and Deirdre to keep us feeling festive. There's some good news about Christmas ratings in the Kabin this week, while in the feedback section, we discuss a recent continuity error that we'd missed.

This week, Brian reveals to Marcus that he's giving up on teaching and can't stand children, and looking at the likes of Grace, who's getting viler by the episode, we can hardly blame him! Meanwhile, someone who hasn't lost his passion for education is Steve, as he begins his weekly skive at night school. Qualifications aren't everything though, of course, as Sinead manages to find out by strolling into a factory job without even trying! In the Kabin section, we preview next year's World of Coronation Street tour, whilst the feedback section sees us pondering which Corrie characters would make the best companion for Doctor Who.

We've been celebrating fireworks night this week in the UK, and over on the cobbles, sparks have been flying thanks to Todd's return. He's got plenty of tales to tell about his life in London, but can we really trust him? Meanwhile, Roy's been doing a touch of decorating in anticipation of Hayley's return home, though we soon find out that it'll take more than that to paper over the cracks in his and Hayley's relationship. There's loads for us to discuss in The Kabin this week, including the amazing news that the Coronation Street set is going to be reopened to the public in the Spring. It's been Halloween and  we've seen our fair share of monstrous figures on the cobbles this week: Nick's been doing his best Jekyll and Hyde impression since coming out of his coma; screeching harpy Tina is still getting involved in everyone else's problems; evil little imp Grace is causing more mischief for Sally and Anna; whilst the witches grim - Stella, Gloria and Leanne - have been having a good old moan at the Bistro.  Our character profile for Halloween week is Corrie's scariest ever villain - Richard Hillman,  then we round off the show by discussing Corrie's grisliest moments in the feedback section.

Meanwhile, Roy and Hayley still aren't seeing eye to eye, and Sally and Tim only manage to stay together by the skin of their teeth.  We share our thoughts on all of this in Street Talk, as well as discussing Chesney's latest job offer and making a startling revelation about the true cause of Tina's orange hue. In The Kabin, we have a look at how Corrie fared at the Inside Soap Awards, while the feedback section sees us wondering what famous Corrie props should show up at Barlow's Buys. In the character profile section we take a look at Tommy and ask whether this could be the end of the line for the Duckworths on the Street.

This week, we got to see some fantastic scenes between Roy and Hayley, as they headed off to Blackpool to tread the boards at the Tower Ballroom. Back in Weatherfield, the 'Who's The Daddy?' storyline finally reaches its climax, with the Platts renouncing the devil (aka David) at Lily's christening. Meanwhile, there's a welcome return for an old face at the Rovers. Instead of the usual character profile, we take a look back at Corrie's history with Blackpool, before finishing off with some discussion about Corrie's latest celebrity fan.

We've got a busy few days coming up this weekend, so we've had to record early, with this show ending up being one of our shortest in months. Never fear, though, as we still manage to pack in plenty of discussion on such topics as Leanne's comedy interpretation of Nick's mumblings, Tina's shocking moment out of character, and Hayley coming to term with her fear of puppets. Speaking of which, we also bid a joyful farewell to Ryan Connor, Corrie's very own irritating wooden performer.

We try something different with Street Talk this week, having cut down on the notes taken to try and make the conversation sound more organic and less wooden, like we're just reading off a script. So basically we're trying to sound less like Ryan Connor. We'd appreciate any feedback you have on this change, good or bad, so please let us know! There's a lot of chat this week, of course, about the preparations for Roy's birthday party, including a look at where we think the Croppers are in the five stages of grief. With no Friday episodes of Corrie this week, Street Talk is a little shorter than usual, but there's still plenty of chat about Sally and Anna's 'barbefeud', the Street's latest newborn and the neverending love triangle between Chesney, Katy and Sinead. We also celebrate the return of Roy and Hayley to the Street, even if it does mean that the Norris-Mary-Emily house sharing story we were looking forward to never materialised. In the news section, we share our thoughts about the real reason for Stephanie Cole's quick departure, catch up with how Bruce and Vicky are doing in the Celebrity Big Brother house, and uncover a new way to deter those pesky people who keep disturbing your Corrie watching session to try and and sell you things down the phone! This week's character profile is the recently departed fireman, Paul Kershaw.

This week on the podcast, we talk about the episodes of Coronation Street broadcast in the UK between the 19th and the 23rd August. There were absolutely loads of storylines mixed into this week's episodes, including the end of the racism story, the continuation of Karl's desperation to cover up his involvement in the Rovers fire, and the start of a new dawn for Chesney and Katy. For us, though, it was Sally's garden party preparations (who knew you could do fish fingers, chips and beans on the barbecue?) and Brian's musings about hitting the big 5-0 that were the highlights of the week. The real drama, of course, happened off-screen this week, and we spend a chunk of time discussing our own and listeners' opinions about Chris Fountain's sacking. We were both pleased to see Bruce Jones and Vicky Entwhistle show up on Celebrity Big Brother on Thursday, so we decided to make our character profile all about Les Battersby.
