Boston College Football Week 7: Clemson Tigers
14/10/2015 Duration: 01h12minThings got dicey on Saturday as Boston College lost to the Wake Forest Demon Deacons, 3-0. It was a signature type loss, one that could haunt the Eagles unless changes are quickly made. One of those changes starts with the quarterback situation. After three weeks of a two-QB set, head coach Steve Addazio is set to name the next starting QB of his football team. Ever since the injury to Darius Wade, BC's been in search of an identity. As they get set to get some players back from injury in the coming weeks, Addazio's team will now start the process of discovering who they can be with a full-time QB. Dan and AJ get together to discuss the Wake Forest game and the merits of both quarterbacks. This has been a trying week so far, with opinions ranging from trust to anger around all things Eagles. For that reason, the guys will turn to Cam Underwood from State of the U to break down how they should be feeling. The Miami Hurricanes are in their fifth year under head coach Al Golden. After losing to Florida State

Boston College Football Week 6: Wake Forest Demon Deacons
07/10/2015 Duration: 01h09minAfter losing to Duke last weekend, it's back to the drawing board once more for Steve Addazio and the Boston College Eagles. Now at 3-2, they face a pivotal game when they take on the Wake Forest Demon Deacons at home on Saturday. Five games into the season, the Eagles are facing so many unanswered questions in the face of mounting injuries. The defense is playing out of its mind, but the offense seems stuck in neutral or, at times, in reverse. Much of the discussion revolves around the quarterback position. Troy Flutie and Jeff Smith now have two weeks' worth of game experience under their belt, and we still don't know who the full-time signal caller should be. One thing's for sure - we will see two quarterbacks on Saturday. In order to get into the mind of the coach and go through the progressions of the quarterback mind, we need to pick the brain of an actual quarterback. For that, we turn to one of the all-time Eagle greats - Brian St. Pierre. Brian St. Pierre was arguably the greatest high school qua

Boston College Football Week 5: Duke Blue Devils
30/09/2015 Duration: 01h20minThe injury bug is turning into a parasite. One week after losing their quarterback for the season, the Boston College Eagles defeated the NIU Huskies, 17-14. Along the way, they lost their starting running back, another tight end, two other running backs. They improved to 3-1, but the survival attrition continued to take its toll. With this in mind, we're going to take to the airwaves to talk about the Eagles and try to dissect last week's game. What went right? What went wrong? What can be fixed? What needs to be gameplanned against? All of that is on the table. Dan and AJ will welcome two guests onto the broadcast this week - friend of the program and ACC insider Brittnee Taylor-Newman from Football.com joins them to discuss the game with the Blue Devils and the entire landscape of the league; and Joey Weaver from From The Rumble Seat dials in to talk about what to expect out of Duke. His Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, a preseason favorite to win the conference, are now unranked thanks to two straight defe

Boston College Football Week 4: Northern Illinois Huskies
23/09/2015 Duration: 01h22minWell that was miserable. After a week of hype, Boston College fans received a gut check on Friday when the Eagles were shut out by Florida State, 14-0. While Florida State is a nationally ranked powerhouse, BC found themselves with plenty of opportunities, yet couldn't convert. By the time the game ended, they also found themselves with a couple of big time injuries as Kevin Kavalec and Darius Wade both went down. With a new week comes a new day and a new dawn, and for the BC Eagles, that means turning the page to a new opponent. On Saturday, the Eagles host the Northern Illinois Huskies at Alumni Stadium, the final game of a season-opening four game home stand. Tune in at 8 PM or call in at 646-200-0446 to talk some college football with us. We'll be breaking down the Eagles in all phases of the game, and with new perspective, you'll be able to weigh in with the direction where you think BC is headed for the rest of 2015.

Boston College Football Week 3: Florida State Seminoles
16/09/2015 Duration: 01h05minAfter two weeks of FCS football at Boston College, it's time to get serious. On Friday, following a short week of practice, the Boston College Eagles will take on the two-time defending ACC champion Florida State Seminoles. It's a team needing virtually no introduction. The Seminoles won the national championship two years ago, went to the CFP in its inaugural season last season. Even without the names and faces from those two teams, this is a very competent and strong matchup, one where BC is surely the underdog. Gone are Jameis Winston, Nick O'Leary, and others, replaced by Everett Golson, Dalvin Cook, and more. Gone are Tyler Murphy, Josh Bordner and others, replaced by Darius Wade, Thadd Smith, and more. We'll have guests and your calls at 646-200-0446 as the Seminoles make their way north to take on BC in unfriendly territory. So tune in. This one's going to be explosive.

Boston College Football Week 2: Howard Bison
09/09/2015 Duration: 01h10minAfter playing the Maine Black Bears last week, the Boston College Eagles now turn the corner to take on their second opponent of the 2015 season - Howard. We get it. Nobody wants Howard on the schedule. There's nothing to be held against Howard, which is a great school with great people. But nobody wants this game. This is a game that just feels awkward, as if we're all watching some type of glorified scrimmage before the Eagles take on Florida State next week. But there's still the matter at hand. So join us as we break down last week's contest and take a look at the upcoming contest with the Bison. We'll look at the game as best as we can, and we'll balance your calls and opinions about having to play a second FCS team. So call us and tune in. This one could be deceptively explosive.

BC FOOTBALL IS BACK! It's a beautiful thing, isn't it?

Brad Bates Hosting a Town Hall - Your Thoughts Tonight at 8 PM!
04/03/2015 Duration: 49minTwo years ago, then-new Athletic Director Brad Bates sponsored a Town Hall style meeting discussing the state of Boston College football in addition to his overall athletic program. Selected season ticket holders were invited to the Yawkey Center to meet with Bates and members of his staff to voice opinions about the football program and the game day experience. Two years later, Bates will entertain a number of season ticket holders prior to the basketball season finale against Wake Forest. The actual purpose of the meeting wasn't addressed in the invitation, but he will have a meeting once again to go over the Boston College fan experience from his constituents. In the days leading up to this, we figured we'd take your pulse of the state of the programs and check back in with you! BCI Radio, after a period of dormancy over the last month or so, is BACK, and we're coming back with a big bang. So tune in on Tuesday at 8 PM and discuss the state of the Boston College athletics program. We'll have your calls

Boston College Football: Ryan Day's Departure Fallout
28/01/2015 Duration: 01h11minIn 2015, Boston College will have a new offensive coordinator. Ryan Day is no longer a member of the Boston College football coaching staff. The offensive coordinator returns to his old college coach by accepting the quarterbacks position coach slot with the Philadelphia Eagles. Reunited with Chip Kelly, Day will be at the reigns of a position featuring one of the brightest young arms in the NFL. With Day gone, there will be much speculation as to who is the next man up to help run the Eagles offense. There is also going to be a reverberating impact on the team, especially with a plethora of young talent still waiting to be refined by the Boston College system. As the team heads into the spring of 2015, this adds to the question marks surrounding the wide receiver, offensive line, and quarterback positions. We try to make sense of Day's departure and try to look forward into the crystal ball of who could be stepping forward as the new OC of the Eagles. Join us Tuesday at 8 PM as Dan and AJ jump on live wit

After five goals in the third period of their last meeting, the blue collar BC squad, hoping to turn around their second half of the season, will take on Jack Eichel and the Terriers, a team vying for a #1 seed in the national tournament. New Era Pinstripe Bowl Pregame Show
27/12/2014 Duration: 01h24minGame day is finally here. After a 7-5 season, the Boston College Eagles are in a Tier I ACC bowl game against a big time opponent. After a controversial 6-6 season, Penn State is in a bowl game but trying to shake the stigma attached to the program imposed by overbearing and possibly illegal NCAA sanctions. The two programs are both rebuilding, and they'll collide at 4 PM at The House That Steinbrenner Built. New York is the city that never sleeps, and we haven't slept a wink while getting ready for the New Era Pinstripe Bowl. Boston College and Penn State will fight for bragging rights at a stadium located right in the middle of the two campuses in one of the greatest cities in the world. Both schools have links to New York, and now it's time to get ready for game day. We'll do final breakdowns on the field, and we'll talk with guests and your calls about final expectations on the game. We'll give the comprehensive guide to New York City (if something like that exists), and we'll get ready, finally, for s

Boston College Football: BOWL WEEK ENGAGE!
24/12/2014 Duration: 01h27minWe are now less than a week from the big game on Saturday - the 2014 New Era Pinstripe Bowl between Boston College and Penn State. Dan and AJ return to break this one down on the field and look at the matchups between both schools. It'll be a fun chess match on the sidelines between James Franklin and Steve Addazio, but what happens between the stripes? What can we expect? When discussing Penn State, we'll be talking about the controversy swirling around their program this season. When the season began, the Nittany Lions weren't even supposed to be in a bowl game, still serving the ban imposed by the NCAA. Since then, though, the revelations about potential wrongdoing by the governing body in the wake of the horribly tragic scandal in Happy Valley became public, and the bowl ban was lifted. What kind of impact could that have on Saturday, and what are your thoughts on the matter? We'll be talking with guests about their thoughts for the bowl game and what to expect out of both the Eagles and Nittany Lions

Boston College Athletics: Bowl Coverage Begins...And We'll Talk Some Hoops
17/12/2014 Duration: 01h13minWe're under two weeks away from Boston College vs. Penn State in the 2014 New Era Pinstripe Bowl. We're also in the middle of a basketball season that's been pleasantly surprising. How could we choose which sport to cover? Easy. We couldn't. So we're going to do both. With the shadow and the excitement of the bowl game hanging over BC, we couldn't just turn that away, but at the same time, we can't avoid talking about the encouraging start by the hoopsters. So we're going to talk both on BCI Radio! Be sure to tune in as we talk attendance, marketing, and excitement surrounding the bowl game. We'll analyze how this bowl game has been different from the rest, how the efforts of the administration are totally different, and what we can expect from both fan bases as we get ready for the bowl game. We'll then transition to the hardwoods to start gearing up for the BC-USC game on Sunday. Hey, remember the last time these two schools met in any sport? That was exciting. We'll have our guests on to talk this one

Boston College Hockey: Eastern Bias Takeover!
10/12/2014 Duration: 01h58minThe first half of the college hockey season is nearly in the books, and while the Boston College Eagles struggled through their first run, the Boston University Terriers enjoyed a renaissance to the days when they were one of the most feared brands in Division I. Throughout the college hockey season, we've had the privilege of listening to BC Interruption's Joe Grav duke it out with his buddy Shep on the Eastern Bias podcast. Eastern Bias quickly became the preeminent voice of Hockey East, and their list of guests include some of the elite names throughout arguably the nation's best college hockey conference. Now Joe and Shep will stage their first ever "takeover" of BCI Radio. With football season in our rearview mirror and the bowl game off on the horizon, our football guys will step aside for a week while the dynamic duo of Massachusetts ice rinks talk college hockey. From there, we'll switch channels and move to the hardwood. BCI's newest new guy, Dan Doolan, sits down to talk Eagles hoops with the season kicking up under first year head coach Jim Christian. Boston College Football Preview: Syracuse Orange
26/11/2014 Duration: 01h22minIt was close, but it wasn't meant to be. At 6-5, Boston College marches forward to its season finale. The Eagles will play their final home game of 2014 at Alumni Stadium on Saturday when they host the Syracuse Orange. It's the final time to see Tyler Murphy and the ultra-tough offensive line, and it'll come at a time when a win can mean a helluva lot. There's absolutely nothing the Eagles can leave on the table come Saturday because of bowl implications, and they'll have a great chance to match last year's 7-5 record when they take on the struggling Orange. We'll answer some of the tough questions surrounding this matchup - how does BC line up against a bad Syracuse team that seems to always play the home team tough? Will Scott Schafer destroy another podium? Is Otto a man, woman, or something kind of in the middle? We'll be joined by the guys from Troy Nunes Is An Absolute Magician to talk Orange Eagle Trophy and bowl implications. It's the last chance to talk BC football this regular season as well, s
