Well that was miserable. After a week of hype, Boston College fans received a gut check on Friday when the Eagles were shut out by Florida State, 14-0. While Florida State is a nationally ranked powerhouse, BC found themselves with plenty of opportunities, yet couldn't convert. By the time the game ended, they also found themselves with a couple of big time injuries as Kevin Kavalec and Darius Wade both went down. With a new week comes a new day and a new dawn, and for the BC Eagles, that means turning the page to a new opponent. On Saturday, the Eagles host the Northern Illinois Huskies at Alumni Stadium, the final game of a season-opening four game home stand.
