The prophecy of Emmanuel was given during a time of civil divide in the Nation of Israel. This was a promise from God to his people that their only hope would be Emmanuel. No other government including their own would ever last. All the shoulders of every other leader would not be able to carry a righteous, just, and peaceful government on their shoulders. They would all ultimately buckle under corruption. Their only Hope would be Jesus- it's the same for us today!

We were created to KNOW our Creator so that we would be like our creator! This is the heart of Jesus for every person on this planet. The way we change into the likeness of Jesus is by knowing him more and more in a personal relationship with the resurrected Jesus. But often times our lives can be reduced down to rules based performance which never truly changes anything. Join us!

When you see a sign in a fenced in yard that says: "Beware of Dogs" you'll likely conclude that if you go into that yard dogs will tear you up. In the day that Paul wrote this letter to the Philippians, dogs as pets were uncommon. What Paul refers to in chapter 3 were these semi-wild "scavenger dogs" who would sniff for things to tear into and ravage. This is the metaphor for the false teachers that were going around from church to church, sniffing out things in order to tear into people. These false teachers know as the "Judaizers" were all about adding and keeping rules in order to be acceptable before God. Paul says beware of people like that. All you need is Jesus. Join us.

Jesus came into this world, made himself of no reputation and took on the form of a servant and like Jesus we are to take on the form of servants. This is the model of life we are to follow. Join us as we glean some application about serving with joy and contentment. We will look at the way Paul saw ministry and also examine a man by the name of Epaphroditus.

When we look around our world it's not hard to find chaos and disorder, and darkness- but when we look up at the stars what we see is order, stability, and light. As Christians we are called to be like the stars in the sky! Join as we talk about what that looks like.
