After every mountaintop experience we will be faced with a valley and in that valley we will be given the choice between kings and kingdoms. The King of the Mountain also needs to be the King of the valley. Today we will see Abram, as he has just had an amazing mountaintop experience, enter the "kings valley" where he is met by two kings. And who our king is in the valley is even more important to our spiritual life that who our King is on the Mountaintop. Sometimes it’s easier to fight Kederlaomer on the mountain than it is to resist Sodom in the valley.

Are you struggling to find victory over bondage and besetting sins in your life? Do you believe that you can find victory? What are some of the most powerful things in the world that you can think of? Today we will make the case that God is more powerful than anything that comes our way. As we look at this battle in Genesis 14 we will see a picture of a victorious believer who by faith obtains the victory.

We are faced with choices every day. Some of our choices are more challenging than others. How do we know that the choices we make are good, godly choices? Today we will see the choices of two men- Abram and Lot. Abram will show us an example of choices made by faith and Lot will show us an example of choices made by the flesh.

How do we grow in our faith? One of the ways is thru trials and hardships. In our study today Abram is right in the center of the Lords will and there is a famine in the land. Abram now is forced to either trust in God or trust in himself for the way out. Abram will choose to trust in himself, but God will still save him despite himself. Ultimately, Abram's faith will grow through his own failure.

Here we are surprised to see Noah fallen into sin and shame and then we see one son exposing his failure and two sons covering his failure. Why do godly people fall? What are some lessons to learn from this story? And how do we deal with people who fail? We will answer some of these questions in this study.

What are the things that remind you of God's grace? While there are many symbols of God's grace, in this study we will look at three keys symbols of our faith. The symbols of peace, sacrifice, and covenant. And we will see how this is all a picture of God's grace through the gospel.

Thankfulness is a great concept- but is it really possible to be thankful in every circumstance? What are the key ingredients to staying thankful even when life get's hard- or even easy? This week we take a pause in our Genesis study and open up to Philippians chapter 1. Here we will hear the Apostle Paul's thankful heart even in the midst of crazy circumstances. (Chuck Thornley)

Noah's flood is a literal event in history that teaches us practical and spiritual applications for our lives today. In our study in Genesis 7, we will look at the way that the story of the flood illustrates to us as Christians the journey of Salvation and how God keeps us safe through the storm till the end. In the same way that God had not forgotten Noah, God has not forgotten us!

The story of Noah's Ark and the flood seems to be (to many people) a happy story about animals and rainbows. Today we will see that the reality of this story is something quite terrifying. As God judges the entire world, there is only one safe place to be- the Ark- and that Ark was available through the obedience of one man- Noah. We will see today that Noah and the Ark are a type of Christ and that in the same way we are saved through the obedience of one man- Jesus

As a Christian- Is it okay to date a non-believer? What does the Bible say about aliens? Why did God flood the earth? These are some questions we will ask in light of this chapter- because here in Genesis 6 we come to a very debated few verses among Bible Scholars. Who were these Son's of God and Daughter's of men and who were these "nephilim" or "giants" that were born from them? Well, we will look at the two different views and find that the application in our lives is the same whatever the view is that you take.

Ever struggle with anger? I think we all have from time to time- (some more than others) but what are we to do with our anger? Here in the story of Cain and Abel, God favored Abel's offering but not Cain's and this made Cain very angry. But why did God not accept Cain's offering? Join us this week as we dive into the heart of the matter.

Men and women are different. We were created by God to show a special aspect of God's image. The greatest 2 places this image of God is seen is in the realm of marriage and family. We live in a world that is raging an all out attack on the family- we will see today why this is so important to Christians. We will also look at the reason the World is the way it is- full of pain and frustration- yet at the same time blessing.

How does God react when we fall into sin? Is God mostly surprised and mad at us? Is he mostly disappointed and disgusted with us? Or does He come to our defense and fight for us to have victory? Here in Genesis 3 we see a glimpse into the heart of God. We will see that the God of the old testament is the same God of the new- Faithful forever, perfect in love, and Sovereign over us.

Is there really a devil, and if so, what are his tactics? Why do we give into temptation? Is there a way we can recognize the schemes of temptation? If so, how do we overcome temptation when it comes? This week we will look at Genesis 3 and discover that the same tactics Satan used in the Garden to tempt Eve are the same timeless tactics he uses today to tempt us. We will discover that God is always only good and He can be trusted above all else!
