We as human beings were made to live in relationship with God and with each other. In this chapter we will see that God is not only the all powerful creator God, but He is also the all loving covenant God. At the same time we will see that even though Adam had a real living intimate relationship with God, God still looked at Adam and said that it was not good for man to be alone. Why did He say this? Isn't it good enough to simply have a relationship with God alone? Well, the Bible actually says that we were made for both God and each other. The Bible holds the love of God and the love of neighbor so high on the list of importance that they cannot be separated.

Who are we as humans beings? Are we just a superior species of animal? Where is our place in the creative order. What we will learn today is that out of all God's creation we are the most valued and special of beings of all! We have a purpose and a worth that is rooted in our Creator! We were meant to live for so much more!

Is the creation account in Genesis accurate? Was there a literal 6 day creation? What about all of the "scientific evidence" that contradicts the Bible? Is there really a creator or did we actually evolve by random chance? These are questions that many people are asking and we want to tackle some of these questions and prove that the Bible is a valid and logical book that actually takes less faith to believe in than what much of the world believes in. Join us this week as we start a new study through the book of Genesis!

When it comes to the Christian life- it’s not just how we begin (although how we begin is important) but it’s also just as important- how we continue and how we finish. So how do we position ourselves in a place to be able to be firm and established in our walk till the end? Well, here in our last study of the book of Romans, we learn five things that we can do to position us in a place of great stability in our walk with God.

There are many things that Satan tries to do to bring division and destruction to the work of God. One of the ways division happens is when fake christians come into the church with false doctrine and teach people things contrary to the gospel. But what are we to do when we come across people who are pretenders? Well, the Word of God tells us here in Romans that we are to keep away from such people. You can't argue with a changed life. God meets us all right where we're at and he changes us in many different ways. There are so many people who serve and work hard for the gospel week after week at our church, and just so you know, we take note. Here is Romans 16, Paul takes note of the people of Rome that he met along the way and he acknowledges not only their hard work, but also their deep friendship and family relationships as well as there hospitality. We are also grateful for those of you who just simply come and worship with us. We take note- and God does too.

As a church, we have a mission to preach to the lost, to provide for the poor and also to pray for the mission and the ministry. Sometimes we, even though we know prayer is powerful, we can act as though prayer is less important or secondary than the others. But what we learn from this passage along with the backdrop in Acts, is that this mission is war against the kingdom of darkness and we need to pray. A fruitful ministry is the spoils of prayer.

Our God is a God who throws a party and invites the world. God cares about all people of the world and He wants the church to have a heart for the un-reached and un-discipled people groups of the world as well. Has your progress in Sanctification halted? Sanctification is the process by which the Holy Spirit makes us righteous. But what are some keys tools that the Holy Spirit uses in order to change us? Join us as we talk about God's pure grace.

What if we made every effort to do what leads to peace and mutual edification? Think about how our marriages would change, our churches would change, our families, and the workplace would change. What if we chose love above our own personal freedoms? What if we made our choices based on the wellbeing of others and for the glory of God? Are there some Liberties that you enjoy as a Christian that may stumble another person to fall? How do we decide when and what to partake in? God longs for our Churches to have deep unity. As we look at this section of Scripture this week, we will see that the Kingdom of God is righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. That is the key to it all, the Holy Spirit having sway in our lives individually and corporately as the Spirit of God triumphs over sin, chaos, and despair.

How do we treat our brothers and sisters in Christ who have different convictions then us when it comes to disputable matters like, dress, music, food, drink, movies, child-rearing, etc. Do we try and change each others opinions, do we fight for our own rights? Here in Romans 14, Paul makes a theological mountain out of an ethical molehill and he tells us how God treats people of all different cultures and backgrounds, and we are taught here that in light of God- this is how we are to treat each other.

Are there any gray areas in the Bible? How do we act toward each other as Christians when we have different convictions on non-essentials?Do we make legalistic rules across the board, or do we let everyone do whatever they feel like, or do we yield in love? Join us in our study.

Satan wants us all ineffective for the Kingdom of God and there are many ways the enemy tries to pick us off and if he can’t get you lethargic, he’ll do everything in his power to get you pathetic. Satan wants to destroy your life, your witness, your testimony, and your love, but there are some practical things that we can do to be sure that doesn't happen. Here in Romans 13 we are told 3 specific categories of sin to rid from our lives. In light of the present time that we live in, these things have no place in our lives. God want's to use us and we need to wake up!

Spiritual lethargy is the norm for many believers today. As we get sidetracked and busy with our everyday lives, we often find ourselves far from where we want to be. Satan wants us to be sleeping and ineffective when it comes to the Kingdom of God, but the alarm clock is going off today! God wants us to love people and shine the light of Jesus to a lost world! We can't settle with casual Christian lukewarmness! We need a revival and that revival starts with me, it starts with you.

What is the one thing that God really wants for us to do? If he was to pick one thing, what would it be? Jesus was asked, "of all the commandments, which is the greatest?" Jesus answered.....LOVE! LOVE GOD, LOVE OTHERS! As we will see in our study today, all of God's commands are summed up under this one heading: LOVE

With all the rioting in Baltimore along with so much other unrest in our Country it's not hard to make the Bible relevant - When it comes to arguments about the police and the governmental authorities how are we as Christians supposed to act and react? Well, the Bible is clear that we are supposed to submit, honor, and respect all those in authority over us. But what does that look like? Does that mean we are supposed to always just swallow and follow? Is there ever a time when it is okay to disobey the Authorities? Join us this week for a Biblical perspective on authority.
