The greatest thief of joy is complaining. When you indulge in complaining for the sake of complaining, it sets your mind to a certain pattern of thinking that keeps your heart from changing. This was the single biggest issue for the Israelites in the wilderness, and it's the single biggest issue for us as well! Join us as we deal with this issue of complaining that is often accompanied by a "victim mentality". We will discuss 4 practical ways of breaking the habit of complaining.

We all want to see real life change in our lives. We want to grow in love, in kindness, in boldness, in freedom- but how do we do it? Does it all depend on us or is it all up to God? Or, is there a need for us to cooperate with God for change to actually happen? Join us as we discuss.

What does it mean to work out your salvation with fear and trembling? We know from other Scriptures that the Christian life is supposed to be lived without fear, but according to Philippians 2:12 there is a healthy fear we are to walk in. Jesus' exaltation is one of the most profound truth's in the universe that will one day prove to be reality beyond a shadow of a doubt. All of history is heading in this direction where all of creation will acknowledge that Jesus is LORD. So, what does this mean for us now? The Philippian church was a church full of patriots. They really enjoyed their citizenship and their freedom as Roman citizens, but as they are watching Paul trial to see what happens with this "supreme court" ruling, they are faced with the possibility of loosing some of the freedoms that they had enjoyed for so long as Roman Patriots. The interesting thing about this book of Joy is that it was written by the Apostle Paul while he was imprisoned in Rome and in chains awaiting his trial before Caesar. If anyone had reason to not be joyful due to their circumstances, it was Paul- yet, he is content and joyful through it all. God has called the church to be the Pillar and Foundation of Truth (1 Timothy 3:15) But the Enemy is working very hard at pressuring the church to depart from the truth of God's Word. This is what 2 Thessalonians refers to as "the secret power of lawlessness" that is currently at work to lead people astray from the truth. The Bible prophecies that there will eventually be a moment in time when the "restainer" (The Holy Spirit filled Church) is taken out of the way (The Rapture) and then there will be a complete "departure" from the truth known as the great Apostasy and then DARKNESS will reign thru the leadership of the "Lawless One" or "Anitchrist". God has given humanity governing authority and governmental structures in order to restrain the world from self-destruction, but these authorities in our nation and in our world are under attack. There is resistance against the Police and military, along with much more. But what does God's Word say about all this and how are we as Christians supposed to act or respond? God has given humanity the family structure in order to restrain the world from self-destruction, but the family structure in our nation and in our world has been under attack. Roles are being re-designed and things are quickly spiraling to a point of no return. So what's the solution? Well, believe it or not, the solution has been right in plain sight this whole time- right in the 10 commandments we find the answers. Join us.

God has given humanity a conscience in order to restrain the world from self-destruction, but we as a nation have been desensitized. Logic and morality are quickly slipping away from our world and we are moving toward a point of no return. So how did we get here? What is the solution? Well, as we will talk about today, the solution is not found in humanity, but God and His Word! God has ordained 4 specific restraints in society to keep evil from abounding, yet the world in which we live has in large part turned their backs on those 4 things. Like a small hole in a dam that doesn't look dangerous, yet once the erosion hits a certain point the who dam gives way, is a society without restraint. This is a message on the last verse in the Bible which says: "The grace of the Lord Jesus be with God's people. Amen. Join us as we talk about why we need God's grace!" Revelation 22:21

For each of the 7 "I Am" Statements Jesus demonstrates that he really is who he says he is. Jesus says that he is the vine- In the beginning of his ministry Jesus changed water into wine, here at the end of his ministry, Jesus pours out his blood for our forgiveness. The greatest fruit we can produce is the fruit of self-sacrificial love!

For each of the 7 "I Am" Statements Jesus demonstrates that he really is who he says he is. Jesus will heal a blind man in the next chapter and use it as an illustration of our spiritual state. We will discuss the difference between light and darkness.
