Synopsis

Great Philosophical Problems A conversation with Dr Tim Shaw discussing great philosophical problems. Tim navigates me through the philosophical definition of moral injury and what it means in the modern world. Enjoy! Guest Bio. Dr Timothy Shaw is a Philosopher and the director of Great Philosophical Problems, a think tank with a mission to provide a unifying definition, and accompanying metaethics, for the construct of Moral Injury to address suicide in veteran and wider civilian populations. Like the social lexicons of PTSD, they set out to provide the moral grammar for the “Signature Wound” of contemporary war as understood as “a disruption to the psyche from a will to truth that has become conscious of itself as a problem in us.” The ThinkTank has collaboration arrangements with various international centres of excellence, including with the United States War College in Washington.
