ONE-WAY ROCKET TO PALOOKAVILLE (SCI-FI) tells the story of "Slugs" Dougherty, a 24th-Century ex-boxer who gets offered a chance to fight one more bout, but he has to make a seven-month rocket trip to a distant planet to do it. Chock full of engaging characters, this melding of two pulp genres -- sci-fi and sports -- will remind you of "X-Minus-One" or "Dimension-X".
