Judith Radasch Stickler (Judy) was born in 1943 in Massachusetts. She remembers an idyllic childhood until the age of nine, when a trusted neighbor raped her and stole her innocence, completely changing her relationships with her parents and siblings, especially that with her younger brother. During the rape, she disassociated a response that, combined with her blocking the memory led to a nervous breakdown at 39.
