Junious Ricardo Stanton interviews Professor E. Sonny Harris the convenor and co-founder of Heeding Cheyney's Call a broad based coalition of alumni, current and former faculty, students, and HBCU advocates who have come together to save and enhance Cheyney University the oldest institution of higher learning for African-Americans in the United States. The historic university has been the victim of a deliberate campaign of underfunding, neglect and discrimination for decades. Despite several court suits and Federal government intervention the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania has on a bi-partisan basis refused to fund and support Cheyney University which prompted Heeding Cheyney's Call to file a federal lawsuit on October 29, 2014 to seek redress and remedy.
