Fasting And Praying For Spiritual Breakthrough Ester 4:13-16 Go gather together all the Jews who are in Susa, and fast for me. Do not eat or drink for three days, night, or day. When this is done , I will go to the king. And if I perish, I perish. Fasting directs out hunger toward God. Fasting will clear our mind and body of material things and concerns and draw us closer to God. Fasting will assist with spiritual clarity and allows us to hear from God more clearly. Our battle of spiritual warfare against an enemy attacks from all sides. God has defeated the enemy and we should never feel defeated and discouraged concerning warfare in our life. The weapon God has given us to defeat the enemy is fasting.
