With the 2024 NFL draft only days away, there is more "insider" rumors flying around than ever before. There is now speculation that Michael Penix could now be being looked at in the first round as high as pick eight, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Yes, as of right now, the Atlanta Falcons still hold the number eight pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. But Penix being drafted at eight may not be as cringy as it seems according to Randy McMichael. In the process of getting ready for the NFL draft, smoke screens are every bit as important and true intent. The Falcons would love for several teams to at least believe a little bit that the Falcons are interested in drafting Michaels Penix at eight, which makes the pick more valuable. If teams think that any player of interest will be there when they draft, they will sit on their hands and wait for that player.
