A series about the ideas that have shaped the world we live in, created in association with Victoria University of Wellington's Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences and RNZ. This episode looks closely at some of the most important revolutions in recent history, events like the American revolution, the Russian revolution, and the French revolution. What triggered the revolutions and consider how these moments in history have had reverberations to the present day? What lessons might we learn from hindsight, including lessons about our moral obligations to other citizens, and the risks associated with rebellion?
