If it Wasn't Clear Before, It's Clear the Cardinals Need Pitching Now
27/06/2022 Duration: 27minThe starting rotation for the St. Louis Cardinals took a hit on Monday with Jack Flaherty going to the IL with a shoulder strain. With his ineffectiveness and another IL stint, it's time to admit the Cardinals need starting pitching help. It's been clear they've needed the bullpen help, but now the Cardinals should seriously consider external help for their staff. This was highlighted after a bad weekend against the Chicago Cubs. How can the Cardinals turn things around against the Miami Marlins? All of this and more discussed on today's show.WANT MORE DAILY ST. Gorman Impressing Early in Career
22/06/2022 Duration: 27minNolan Gorman has 6 home runs in 29 games, including 2 last night against Milwaukee. We knew he'd strike out, but we didn't know he'd adjust to the majors so quickly. If he keeps up this pace, an All-Star appearance and a running at Rookie of the Year are not out of the question. In other news, Jack Flaherty struggled for a second straight start. It's difficult to watch, but we know the talent is still there, he just has to execute.WANT MORE DAILY ST. LOUIS CARDINALS CONTENT?Follow & Subscribe to the Podcast on these platforms…

Cardinals Offense Stymied Last Night, but Jack Looks to Right Ship in Game Two
21/06/2022 Duration: 28minCorbin Burnes was dominant last night, as he usually is against the St. Louis Cardinals. Combine that with an over-aggressive (and rare) mistake by Brendan Donovan and you get a 2-0 loss. St. Louis will now look to win two of the next three, and it turns to Jack Flaherty to do that in game two. Flaherty will look to execute more in his second start of the season. The show finishes up talking about the lack of production from Cardinal catchers this season.WANT MORE DAILY ST. Cardinals Leave Boston Disappointed in Bullpen, But Crucial Series in Milwaukee this Week
20/06/2022 Duration: 31minThe St. Louis Cardinals dropped two of three over the weekend in Boston, and the main takeaway is that this bullpen needs help. Giovanny Gallegos and Ryan Helsley were not used, so the rest of the 'pen got a chance to step up and they did not. Both Friday and Sunday saw 9th-inning comebacks squandered due to late runs given up by the bullpen in the 7th or 8th innings. This week's series against the Brewers is as important as a series can get in mid June. Both teams are 38-30, so the Cardinals will be looking to take advantage of four games against their division rival. It'll be a tall task, especially tonight, because that Brewer pitching is awfully good.WANT MORE DAILY ST. LOUIS CARDINALS CONTENT?Follow & Subscribe to the Podcast on these platforms…

Jack Flaherty's First Start Was Bad, But Let's Not Give Up Hope Yet
17/06/2022 Duration: 26minJack Flaherty's return to the St. Louis Cardinals was underwhelming. There's no denying that, but what we can do is be patient with Flaherty as he works his way back. If a few things go differently Wednesday night defensively, it's a whole different narrative for the start. A healthy Jack Flaherty has the track record of being a top-notch arm. The biggest thing moving forward is keeping him healthy. Also, Dylan Carlson is starting to heat up. That's something we need to keep our eye on.WANT MORE DAILY ST. Waino v Old Friend Wacha to Start Series in Boston
17/06/2022 Duration: 28minThe St. Louis Cardinals are off to Fenway Park to battle the Boston Red Sox this weekend. Game One's matchup of Adam Wainwright v Michael Wacha is full of storylines. Once thought to be the Cardinals next ace, Wacha has found success so far in Boston. Wainwright, still the Cardinals ace, takes the mound in game one and will look for more success than he had in game one of the 2013 WS. Overall, the Cardinals have a chance to show that their offense can compete against a playoff caliber team this weekend.WANT MORE DAILY ST. What Does Jack Flaherty's Season Debut Mean for the St. Louis Staff?
15/06/2022 Duration: 27minJack Flaherty is making his 2022 season debut for the St. Louis Cardinals tonight. He'll be on a 60-pitch limit for the Redbirds, but his return is one that this staff needs badly. If he's able to pitch like he did in the second half of 2019 or the first half of 2021, him coming back elevates this staff to a whole other level. Regardless of his efectiveness, his return will mean one Cardinal will have to go. Who could that Cardinal be and how does the staff look differently once he returns?WANT MORE DAILY ST. Mikolas Close to History + Goldy is on an MVP Track
15/06/2022 Duration: 30minMiles Mikolas turned in 8.2 innings of spectacular work yesterday for the St. Louis Cardinals. He gave up just one hit in the ninth, and his last two performances are begging the question: is he a Cy Young Candidate? While that might be a dark horse, Paul Goldschmidt is definitely a favorite for the MVP. Goldy hit three more home runs for the Cardinals in their double header sweep of the Pirates yesterday and he doesn't seem to be slowing down anytime soon.WANT MORE DAILY ST. St. Louis Needs to be Taking Advantage of the Upcoming Schedule
13/06/2022 Duration: 28minWhile it was not in incredibly convincing fashion, the St. Louis Cardinals beat the Cincinnati Reds twice over the weekend. A series win is a series win, but the series against the Pirates needs to be much more convincing. St. Louis can take advantage of a Milwaukee off day Monday and the fact that the Brewers play the Mets this week by beating the Pirates.WANT MORE DAILY ST. St. Louis Swept, But a Chance to Regain Momentum Against the Reds
10/06/2022 Duration: 28minThere were a few positives for the St. Louis Cardinals this week (Dakota Hudson, Tyler O'Neill, Miles Mikolas) despite getting swept by the Tampa Bay Rays. That said, obviously it was a net negative going 0-3 at the Trop. St. Louis now must wipe its memory and try to take advantage of playing a bad Reds team at home for three games. Andre Pallante, Adam Wainwright and Hudson will start for the Cardinals this weekend, which is a positive for this team that is 0.5 games back of the first place Milwaukee Brewers.WANT MORE DAILY ST. Bullpen Games Have Been Unsuccessful for St. Louis This Season
09/06/2022 Duration: 23minWhile long term confidence in this team is there, the short term raises some questions. With the team still waiting on starters to return, the pitching depth is being pushed to its brink. Jack Flaherty needs to be an ace when he returns to the rotation. Also, it's nice to see Tyler O'Neill producing because the Cardinals need him to be an anchor in this lineup.WANT MORE DAILY ST. Hudson Spectacular Again, Bullpen Depth Being Tested
08/06/2022 Duration: 27minDakota Hudson turned in his second consecutive dominant start last night, showing once again the type of starter he can be. Hudson's seven strong innings should've been enough for the win, but the Cardinal offense was stymied by the Rays' pitching staff. St. Louis has been able to piece together innings so far this season, but we are starting to see the depth being pushed to the edge. The reliable bullpen arms are being forced to make starts because of injuries to the rotation. Can this team continue to win while they wait for Flaherty + Matz to return? Also, while the offense was stagnant last night it's still moving in the right direction when looking at the big picture.WANT MORE DAILY ST. St. Louis Travels to Tampa Bay for Battle w/Rays
07/06/2022 Duration: 29minThe St. Louis Cardinals travel to Tampa Bay to take on the Rays this week, where the defending AL East Champions will feature some top-notch pitching. While the Cardinals could match it if Dakota Hudson and Miles Mikolas pitch to their standards, the offense of St. Louis definitely has a tall task this week. Tyler O'Neill and Dylan Carlson could be coming back this week, so we look at the possible implications to the team that would happen upon their return.WANT MORE DAILY ST. Cardinals Take Care of Cubbies
06/06/2022 Duration: 27minThe St. Louis Cardinals took three out of five against the Chicago Cubs this weekend and many different areas shined. Brendan Donovan showed off his defensive prowess as well as his clutch bat, Nolan Gorman showcased his power and the whole Cardinal pitching staff showed how deep they really are. Adam Wainwright and Genesis Cabrera dominated the Cubs on Sunday, Zach Thompson was impressive in his MLB debut Friday, and Ryan Helsley and Giovanny Gallegos both impressed on Saturday. The offense also showed fight, winning two extra-inning games. All in all, a successful weekend in the Windy City for the Cardinals!WANT MORE DAILY ST. Dakota Hudson + Nolan Arenado Lead the Charge in Finale to Complete the Sweep
02/06/2022 Duration: 28minThe St. Louis Cardinals completed the sweep of the San Diego Padres yesterday behind a brilliant pitching performance from Dakota Hudson and a 3-hit, 3-rbi day from Nolan Arenado. Hudson has struggled this season, but his start yesterday showed that he still can have upside as a big league starter. Arenado had a dreadful month of May, and if he turns it around in June, this offense can be a scary one. Also: this Cubs series should be an entertaining one and a difficult one for the Cardinals to win with 5 games in 4 days.WANT MORE DAILY ST. 2-Month Update on the St. Louis Cardinals
01/06/2022 Duration: 28minMay 2022 was just as good (if not better than) May 2021 for the St. Louis Cardinals. The Cardinals will now look to avoid a disastrous June like they had last year. How are the Cardinals in a different spot this year than last year? Well, Jack Flaherty is coming back rather than just getting hurt, the bullpen is in a much better spot and Paul Goldschmidt is already putting up great numbers. Today's show is a checkpoint on where the Cardinals have been the last two months and the outlook for June.WANT MORE DAILY ST. Cardinals Pitching Solid So Far vs San Diego
01/06/2022 Duration: 26minPacky Naughton, Andre Pallante and Adam Wainwright have all led the charge in the first two games between the St. Louis Cardinals and San Diego Padres. Similar to last year's team, when you pitch, you win! Outside of a Giovanny Gallegos bad outing and Ryan Helsley giving up his first earned run, the bullpen has also been solid in the first two games. Offensively, it's hard not to talk about Paul Goldschmidt and his torrid month, you can live with the Gorman errors + strikeouts (so far) and Pujols plays hero on Tuesday. A sweep will be tough with Darvish on the mound and limited pitchers available, so can the Cards get it done?WANT MORE DAILY ST.
