Little Things Make A Big Difference In Loss to Brewers
27/05/2022 Duration: 27minThe St. Louis Cardinals lost 4-3 to the Milwaukee Brewers tonight, and it was in large part due to the team not executing the little things. They gave the Brewers a few extra outs early that led to some runs, plus the offense stranded 11 runners on base and hit 1-6 with RISP. While the offense did prove Josh Hader is human, they were unable to score any runs off of him in the 9th. All in all, it's a tough loss to swallow but the focus must move to winning two of the next three at home. (Also, Paul Goldschmidt is on another level right now).WANT MORE DAILY ST. The Jordan Hicks Starting Experiment Looks to be Coming to an End
25/05/2022 Duration: 27minJordan Hicks was unable to impress in his first start without a short pitchbout, and it was his second consecutive unimpressive. While I've been vocal about giving him a chance to start, it's becoming more and more clear that the Cardinals need to find another option. Rondón? Woodford? External? Whoever it is, the Cardinals should consider making this move sooner rather than later.(Also, talking about the bad bad loss last night)WANT MORE DAILY ST. Goldy's Grand Slam Seals Dramatic Win for Cardinals
24/05/2022 Duration: 25minPaul Goldschmidt's grand slam in the 10th inning gave the Cardinals their most dramatic win of the season. Despite striking out three times, Goldy found a way to come through. It's a sign of the whole offense starting to click on a more consistent level over the last week. With the Cardinals playing the Pirates, it was hard to tell the actual success vs just playing the Pirates. However, doing it against a team like the Blue Jays gives us a little more of an idea as to who this offense can be. The question on today's show is why? (or more accurately, who?)Also discussing Oli Marmol's managerial decisions last night and discussing the good/bad about the roster shakeup that occurred before yesterday's game.WANT MORE DAILY ST. Cardinals Dominate in Road Sweep of Pirates
23/05/2022 Duration: 27minThe St. Louis Cardinals dominated in just about every fashion in their road sweep of the Pirates this weekend. Adam Wainwright was great on Friday, the bullpen (namely Giovanny Gallegos, Drew VerHagen and Ryan Helsley), was phenomenal Saturday, Angel Rondón was a lifesaver Sunday and the offense came alive Sunday afternoon. This was a huge gain of momentum ahead of a very difficult schedule for the St. Louis Cardinals as they face three playoff-caliber teams with deep October runs in mind. They have the momentum and played well, but there are still lingering questions for St. Louis after this weekend.WANT MORE DAILY ST. After taking the first two, a series win would've been nice but we saw some good things from St. Louis. The bullpen was good for the most part, specifically Ryan Helsley, the bats were alive in games one and three while Miles Mikolas + Jordan Hicks continued to improve. However, the two main problem takeaways are Steven Matz + Dakota Hudson bing unable to find consistency and Paul DeJong still not being able to find results.WANT MORE DAILY ST. Offense Continues to Feast or Famine
05/05/2022 Duration: 26minThe St. Louis Cardinals scored 10 runs on Wednesday after just one run on Tuesday as the theme of feast or famine continues. This trend is not sustainable and they need to find some consistency. Tyler O'Neill's day on Wednesday provided some hope, but more need to get it going. The starting pitching was solid in KC as Adam Wainwright was solid Wednesday and Dakota Hudson gutted through six innings Tuesday. Juan Yepez brings some new blood to the offense, and the offense will be well tested this weekend in San Francisco.WANT MORE DAILY ST. Pitching the Strength of the Team After First Month
02/05/2022 Duration: 27minThe St. Louis Cardinals are winning games in large part due to their pitching. After Steven Matz and Miles Mikolas turned in phenomenal performances over the last week, it's clear those two specifically are stepping up in Jack Flaherty's absence. Offensively, we are starting to see signs of improvement, but they are still largely not getting the job done on a consistent level. With two games in Kansas City and four in San Francisco this week, it's time for the rest of the offense to improve and step up just as Nolan Arenado and Paul Goldschmidt have.WANT MORE DAILY ST. Should We Be Worried At Lack of Slugging So Far? Also, Can Cards Sweep DBacks?
29/04/2022 Duration: 29minAfter a week of slightly dormant offensive numbers, the Cardinals have scored 18 runs in two games. However, they have not homered in over a week and they did not record an extra base hit yesterday. While it's good not to rely on the home run, a good offense typically slugs at a much higher rate than what the Cardinals are currently doing. Is it time we see Nolan Gorman at the big leagues? Also, the Cardinals are in a good position to win some more games against Arizona this weekend.WANT MORE DAILY ST. LOUIS CARDINALS CONTENT?Follow & Subscribe to the Podcast on these platforms…

Cardinals Avoid Sweep, Now Turn Focus to Diamondbacks
28/04/2022 Duration: 26minThe St. Louis Cardinals were able to avoid a sweep at the hands of the New York Mets thanks to a 10-5 win yesterday. While there was a benches-clearing incident, yesterday's game was largely a positive one for St. Louis. Playoff teams don't get swept at home, and the Cardinals showed the resilience to find a way. Now, they must take that momentum into the weekend as the Arizona Diamondbacks come to Busch for a four game series.WANT MORE DAILY ST.
