Soto Still the "Fun" Move, But the Cardinals Need Pitching
27/07/2022 Duration: 30minIn a 10-3 loss to the Toronto Blue Jays last night, the need for pitching on this team came front and center. The St. Louis Cardinals are having a bad July, and a large part of that is the inability to get outs from the rotation. Last night, Andre Pallante was not super effective and he was followed by less-than-spectacular performances from Jordan Hicks and Junior Fernandez. Everyone is talking about Juan Soto, and rightfully so, but there is no denying that this team needs pitching in a bad way.JD and Lucas take a deep dive into the starting pitching market and look at who's realistically available for St. Louis. Lucas likes the intangibles of a Madison Bumgarner acquisition while JD really wants Pablo Lopez in a Cardinal uniform. With the way the market is shaping up, it's clear that the Cardinals are going to have to make multiple trades for arms to have what is considered a successful deadline.Segment three is a Juan Soto update as new reports are coming in as to what a return package could look like fro

How Likely is a Juan Soto Trade to the Cardinals?
21/07/2022 Duration: 31minJuan Soto is the talk of baseball right now. He recently turned down a $440 million contract and the reports are that the Nationals are entertaining the thought of trading hime. Whether you believe it or not, there are many reports that the Cardinals are willing to make an offer (who wouldn't be?). Soto is going to demand a hefty package, one full of major league players and highly touted prospects. Another wrinkle? Patrick Corbin will likely be coming with Soto, as the Nationals are looking to off-load that contract.JD and Lucas break down the value Corbin and Soto bring, discuss assets the Cardinals have, and discuss specific trade packages that the Cardinals could send. This is a complicated topic with many layers, but the truth remains: Juan Soto makes this team better in 2022.WANT MORE DAILY ST. Goldy + Helsley Shine In LA for the Cards
20/07/2022 Duration: 30minNobody wants to disappoint when playing in the Midsummer Classic. The Cardinals did NOT disappoint when representing the city of St. Louis in LA. Paul Goldschmidt cranked a solo shot in the first and Ryan Helsley struck out two - and showcased 103 mph - in his scoreless inning of work. While Goldy should've played more and Pujols could have gotten a better send off, St. Louis should be proud of its All-Stars.We know not every All Star Game can be a good game, and after the first four innings there was little happening last night. JD and Lucas share their favorite moments from last night, as well as some possible changed they'd like to see to the game and how it's played.WANT MORE DAILY ST. His one-minute swing-off was arguably the best minute of the Derby. What was made clear was the amount of respect and admiration the rest of the league has for him.We hope he gets his moment tonight in the All-Star Game as well. It remains to be seen how he, Miles Mikolas or Ryan Helsley will be used off the bench/out of the bullpen tonight. Will the Cardinals show out in LA?Also, the Cardinals have some pretty decent odds to land the Juan Soto sweepstakes if he's traded in season (No, Really).WANT MORE DAILY ST. Cardinals Shut Out in Finale, Reds in Town Before All-Star Break
15/07/2022 Duration: 29minThe St. Louis Cardinals were shutout in the finale against the LA Dodgers. While the Dodgers are one of the best teams in the NL, this is definitely a series that got away from the Cardinals. After a 7-6 win, they preceded to blow a 6-0 lead before getting shut-out on Thursday. The good news is the Reds are coming to town. The bad news is the Reds have been playing awfully good baseball for the last week. With three rookies scheduled to pitch for Cincinnati, the key for the Cardinals is to get to the bullpen. Offense Shines, Bullpen Fails in Loss to Dodgers
14/07/2022 Duration: 29minThe St. Louis Cardinals had a win slip from their fingertips last night in a 7-6 loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers. Leading 6-0 in the 7th, the Cardinal bullpen surrendered 7 runs in the final three frames. Was this a cause of bad management, bad bullpen formation or players underperforming? How about a combination of all three. That said, the offense was wonderful last night, getting contributions up and down the lineup. Paul Goldschmidt and Nolan Arenado mashed early, but you also saw Andrew Knizner step up. What will his role be when Yadier Molina comes back?Tonight's game is an extremely tall task with an already depleted bullpen, Dakota Hudson on the mound and a good starter for the Dodgers. 07/07/2022 Duration: 30minThe St. Louis Cardinals are in danger of getting swept by the Atlanta Braves. Can Tyler O'Neil's and Harrison Bader's return help this team enough?Miles Mikolas was not as sharp as he's been, and he said he was frustrated with the Braves' hitters for getting time granted so late. Should MLB Send Albert Pujols to the All-Star Game? (Yes)
06/07/2022 Duration: 31minIt's been reported that the commissioner now has the right to send someone to the All-Star game in recognition of their career accomplishments. Few people in the NL deserve it like Cardinals' legend Albert Pujols. It would be a return to LA, an opportunity for the nation to say goodbye to a legend and a chance for a memorable All-Star moment. JD and Lucas both wholeheartedly agree Rob Manfred should make this happen. Also, this team still (desperately) needs pitching. This is being made more evident by a report that Steven Matz's rehab start could become a MLB start against Atlanta on Thursday. WANT MORE DAILY ST.
