Hadrat Abu Zharr (ra). Session 15 The Ascetic  The Messenger ﷺ is commanded to Love 4... Alee is one of them [stated thrice] Abu Zharr Miqdaad Salmaan (raa) (Tirmidhi). Allah SWT defends Salmaan, Abu Zharr & others (raa) in Surah 18 v27-28 (Abu Nu'aym). The tremendous rank of these Companions, the awesome praise of their daily worship & the sincerity of their worship!

Hadrat Abu Zharr (ra). Session 14 The Ascetic  A verse which if people follow, would be sufficient for them, Surah 62 v2-3 (Nas'aaee). Ibn Masood (ra), the greatest verse in the Quran that contains the most relief, Surah 62 v2-3 (Ibn Abee Haatim). "For those who fear Allah SWT He SWT provides a way out for them He SWT provides them with provisions from sources they could never have imagined." The Mutaqeen - the one who abandons what is harmless out of fear of falling into that which is harmful (Tirmidhi).

Quran Class Surah 25 v 31-34 Session 8 Why is not the Quran revealed all at once like the Taurat ? The previous scriptures were revealed all at once, yet they were not as lengthy as The Quran. We have revealed this in order to strengthen your heart, rehearsing it in slow stages, Surah 17 v106. The polytheists ask why has Allah SWT afflicted The Messenger ﷺ and revealed the verses in parts, why not all at once ? This verse was revealed, verse 32. Mentioning the Prophets is an exalted form of worship. Mentioning the pious is an expiation of sins. The Quran refutes falsehood & innovation but only one learned can extract that from The Quran. The Quran was revealed to the lowest heaven on The Night of Qadr, thereafter over a period of 23 years. The initial part of The Quran was revealed on The Night of Qadr to The Messenger ﷺ.

Hadrat Abu Zharr, Al Ghafari (ra). Session 12 The Ascetic  The Dream of Wahb ibn Munabbih (rah) The Bulalaa [the saintly souls who succeed on another]... Muhammad ibn Wasi, Hassan ibn Abee Sinaan & Malik ibn Deenar (rah), the latter walk amongst the people just like Abu Zharr (ra) during his time (Ahmad). Fudhayl ibn Iyaad (rah), Allah SWT has placed all evil in one dwelling and made the love of the world its key. Similarly, Allah SWT placed all the good in one dwelling and made abstinence from the world its key (Risaalah/ Ihya). Hasan ibn Alee (ra),The least thing of this world is sufficient whilst the whole of it does not enrich (Kanzul Ummaal).

Quran Class Surah 25 v 26-30 Session 7  The Abandonment of The Quran A Rabbi describes the Last day, Allah SWT will place the heavens in 1 finger, the earth in another, the water/land in another and declare I am The King, I am The King, The Messenger recites Surah 39 v67. 'The day that the oppressor will bite his hands and say Ahh had I taken a path,' Uqbah declares the faith but Obay converts him back to unbelief. 'Choose your Khalil well as you will choose the deen of your Khalil.' The People have taken The Quran as 'Mahjoora' 5 varying types of abandonment Abandon listening & Believing in the  Quran. Abandon to act upon it and ignore halal/haram. Abandon the Quran as a judge. Abandon to ponder / learn it. Abandon to use it as Shifa/Cure. Recite The Quran Do not exceed its limits. Do not abandon it. Do not eat with it, make living with it. Do not seek more by using it (Ahmad).

Hadrat Abu Zharr (ra). Session 11 The Ascetic  The green earth has not carried and the sky has not given shade to one with more truthful speech than Abu Zharr (ra). Whomsoever it pleases to look at the asceticism of Eesaa son of Mariam (as) then let him look at Abu Zharr (ra) (Tirmidhi). Superior worship is humility (Baihaqi). The best of you are those who do the most without the world and most desire the Hereafter (Baihaqi). Jibreel (as) and the Angels know Abu Zharr (ra) better as he thinks of himself insignificant and also recites Surah Ikhlas in abundance (Tafseer Al Kabeer). Your love for Surah Ikhlaas will cause you to enter Paradise (Bukhari). Whoever recites Surah Ikhlas when he enters his dwelling will then drive away poverty from that dwelling and also the neighbours (Tabarani).

Hadrat Abu dharr (ra). Session 10 The Ascetic  You Will Be with Those Whom You Love A man loves some people but at the same time cannot do the deeds like theirs, (will he thus be deprived of their most Blessed company in the Hereafter - which would be unbearable)? You O Abu Dharr (ra) will be with those whom you love. But I love Allah SWT & His Messenger ﷺ You will be with those whom you love... (Abu Dawood). When in The Final Hour? What have you prepared for it ? Nothing [neither Ritual Prayer or Fasting], except that I love Allah SWT & His Messenger ﷺ. Anas (ra), We have never felt so glad as in this decree of The Holy Prophet ﷺ that you will be gathered with those whom you love I therefore love The Messengerﷺ , Abu Bakr & Umar (raa). I hope to be with them due to my love for them, even though I do not perform the like of their good deeds (Bukhari).

Hadrat Abu Dharr (ra). Session 9 The Ascetic  Ahlus Suffa If only you knew [Ahlus Suffa] how much you owned in Allah SWT presence you would then dearly wish to increase your poverty and need... (Tirmidh). Abu dharr (ra), After seeing The Messenger ﷺ I returned to the masjid and slept (Tabrani). The Messenger ﷺ would stand and embrace and hug Abo Zharr (ra) [due to love & affection], on recounting this incident he remarked 'That embrace was very good, Very very good, most blessed and pleasing' (Abu Dawood).

Hadrat Abu Dharr (ra). Session 8 The Ascetic  'May Allah SWT keep the tribe of Aslam safe & sound. May Allah SWT forgive the tribe of Ghifaar' (Bukhari). Buraydah (ra) uses The Turban of The Messenger ﷺ as a standard to enter Al Madeenah. Later Buraydah (ra) is seen carrying the same standard as The Messenger ﷺ enters Al Madeenah. Later in life, Buraydah (ra) was sent to Khurasaan and he passed away in Marw during the reign of Yazeed ibn Mu'aawiyah. The Ansaar, Muzaynah, Juhaynah, Ashja'a, Ghifaar and the members of Banoo Abd Daar are my Mawaaleey [close associates]... (Muslim).

Hadrat Abu Dharr (ra). Session 7 The Ascetic  A Quarter of Islam Reconciling 2 reports. Abu Dharr (ra) is a quarter of Islam (Baihaqi). That is, he was the 4th free male adult to embrace the faith, preceded by Abo Bakr, Alee & Zayd ibn Harith (raa). Abu Dharr (ra) returned to his tribe and stayed there until Badr, Uhud and the Trench had passed (16-17 years), he thereupon moved to Al Madeenah (Ibn Al-Jawzee).

Hadrat Abu Zharr (ra). Session 6  The Ascetic  The entire tribe of Ghifar eventually embraces Islam after a period of 15 years. Abu dharr (ra) calls out a declaration of faith around The Kaba and as a result is beaten.

Hadrat Abu dharr (ra). Session 5 The Ascetic  ZamZam is from the springs of Paradise (Ibn Abee Shaibah). The Messenger ﷺ is amazed that a man from the notorious tribe of Ghufar embraces Islam. Abu Bakr (ra) is the first to host Abo Zharr (ra). Abo Zharr (ra) learns from The Messenger ﷺ. The Messenger's ﷺ dream of his migration to Al Medina during the early days.

Hadrat Abu dharr (ra). Session 4  The Ascetic  The looting of the Ghifar tribes on the trade caravans during the 4 sacred months would trouble Abu Zharr (ra). His brother Unays (ra) was not only a poet but would gamble. Abu Zharr (ra) would offer prayer all night to Allah SWT 2/3 years before he had met The Messenger ﷺ. He had survived on ZamZam water for an entire month.

Hadrat Abu Zharr (ra). Session 3  The Ascetic  Allah SWT creates the environment for Abu Zharr's (ra) journey to The Messenger ﷺ. Abu Bakr hosts Abu Zharr (raa).

Abu Zharr (ra). Session 2 Jundub ibn Junaadah (ra) The Ascetic  The Notorious Al Ghifaar tribe stationed at Ar-Rabazha. The 4 sacred months were permissible for this tribe. Abu Zharr (ra) was a brave, strong & undaunted soul. The Haneef  Unays (ra) had said to his younger brother... 'I met a man in Makkah who follows your deen' (Muslim). During the days of Ignorance, Zayd ibn Amr, Abu Zharr & Salman (raa) uttered the declaration of Faith (Ad Durr al Manthoor).

Hadrat Abu Zharr (ra). Session 1 Jundub ibn Junaadah (ra) The Ascetic  Abu Zharr (ra) was tall and dark skinned (Sifatus Safwah). Abu Zharr (ra) saw all of his children pass away during his lifetime. Abu Dharr (ra), 'All praise belongs to Allah SWT who takes them away from this temporary home and stores them as a treasure in the eternal abode' (Abu Nuaym). The little children who advance forward are the free roamers of The Garden of Eden.

Welcome O Seeker of Knowledge...' I did not extract knowledge from Ataa (rah) except by being kind to him (Ibn Juray rah). 'Whoever treads a path in search of knowledge then Allah SWT makes easy a path for him towards Paradise' (Abo Dawood).

Welcome O Seeker of Knowledge The Value of Knowledge O Adam (as) inform them of their names, Surah 2 v33. Adam (as) teaches the Angels. Shaitan bothers not with those without sacred knowledge. If you did not sin, I ﷺ would fear for you something worse than that - self conceit (Baihaqi). O Abu Darr (ra), if you go anywhere to learn 1 verse of the Quran it is better for you than 100 units of voluntary prayer. If you go anywhere to acquire one aspect of Islamic knowledge it is better for you than performing 1,000 units of voluntary prayer irrespective of whether it is practised or not (Ibn Majah). If the knowledge learnt is acted upon then that is better than the whole world and what it contains... (ibn Abee Shahbah). 'Welcome to the seeker of knowledge The Angels surround the seeker of knowledge and shade him with their wings one on top of the other until they reach the lowest heavens.
