Al-Mugheera Ibn Shu’ba رضي الله عنه Session 34 Qaadiseeyah Rustum offers Mugeerah (ra) clothing and gold coins so as to leave Persia. The Muslims & Persians engage at Qaadiseeyah. '(Remember) I would not have come to your had your not sent for me but today I can see that your sovereignty is soon to vanish and that vou will be vanquished because no power can survive with such away of life and with such a mentality. (Hearing this) The common people shouted, "The Arab is right!

Al-Mugheera Ibn Shu’ba رضي الله عنه Session 33 The Predicament of Rustum Mugeerah (ra) invites Rustum the Persian to Islam, he recognises the truth but his people do not, the same predicament as the Roman Emperor Heraclius. The second emissary converses with Rustum, Ribee ibn Aamir (ra) and states... Allah (SWT) has sent us to remove those whom He (SWT) Wills Fom the slavery of man to the slavery of Allah (SWT). To remove them from the narrowness of this world towards its vastness. And; From the oppression of other religions towards the justice of Islaam.

Al-Mugheera Ibn Shu’ba رضي الله عنه Session 32 Mugeerah (ra) loses an eye at Yarmook. Qadisseyah Against the 20,000 Muslims, the Persians had mobilised a force of around 200,000 men under the leadership of Rustum, one of their most brilliant commanders. Rustam himself had seen in a dream that an Angel (as) descended from the heavens placed a seal on the weapons of the Persians and then handed them over to The Messenger ﷺ.

Al-Mugheera Ibn Shu’ba رضي الله عنه Session 30 Yassar (ra) the Abyssinan who diverts punishment from the earths inhabitants. He often swept and cleaned the Masjid (Tirmidhi). There will never cease to be in my Ummah seven (elite souls), and they will never ask Allah (SWT) without Him answering them. By means of them, you are given rain, victory and protection (Musanaaf). "The Abdaal are 40 men and 40 women.." (Daylamee). The Abdaal are from Ash-Shaam, The Nujaba' are from Egypt. And; The Isaabah (ie the elite righteous servants) are, from Iraq (Ibn Assakir).

Al-Mugheera Ibn Shu’ba رضي الله عنه Session 27 42 Scribes, Mugheerah (ra) was one of them. Sa'eed ibn al-Musayyab (rah), Not one day passes except the Prophet's ﷺ Ummah is shown to him morning and evening. He ﷺ knows them by their marks (or names) and their deeds - hereby giving witness concerning them (Ibn Al Mubarak). "...when We bring from every Ummah a witness, and We (hen) bring you ﷺ as a witness against these?" (Surah 4: 41) "Verily, I ﷺ am a "harbinger" for you and (also) a "witness over you (Bukhari). "Harbinger'" means that he ﷺ has gone before us in order to look after our best interests and prepare for what we need (ie when we eventually join him ﷺ). "Witness'" is mentioned as above (ie and he ﷺ thus is now supplicating for us when we fall into sin). Thus SubhaanAllah! Our Beloved Messenger ﷺ is taking care of our needs in both abodes the eternal Peace and Blessings of Allah (SWT) be upon him always and forever.

Al-Mugheera Ibn Shu’ba رضي الله عنه Session 26 The Messenger ﷺ used a knife to cut meat. The Messenger's ﷺ affectionate supplication for his dear servant Bilal (ra). The Messenger ﷺ affectionately telling Hadrat al- Mugheerah (ra) that his moustache should not encroach upon his lips. Partake of garlic for it has a cure for over 70 ailments, (Daylamee). We were allowed a maximum of 40 nights for trimming our moustache clipping our nails, plucking our armpit hair and shaving our pubic region as per Anas (ra) (Muslim).

Al-Mugheera Ibn Shu’ba رضي الله عنه Session 25 The people of scripture refuse the challenge stated in Suarh 3 v61. Hence in conclusion, as the modern phraseology would go, "They were thus nothing but people of pride and hype (Bani Israel and the Christians) -who sadly led many of their sincere followers to the eternal humiliation and damnation. Mugeerah (ra) asks about the Dajaal.

Umar (ra) the one likened to the Prophets (as) Session 2 When the righteous are mentioned, Divine Blessings come down (Tabarani). Umar (ra) should be mentioned first when talking about the righteous (Ahmad). Beautify your gatherings by Durood and speaking about Umar (ra) (Ibn Asaakir). Whoever hates Umar (ra) hates the beloved prophet ﷺ (Tabarani). The sun has not risen over a better man than Umar (ra) (Tirmidhi). Copy the two who come after me ﷺ Abu Bakr and Umar (ra) (Tirmidhi).

The people raised objections to The Quran and asked about Surah Mariam v28... O sister of Harron (A.S), Mugheerah (ra) returns to ask The Messenger ﷺ. "Are you not aware that they used to give the names of their children as the names of the Prophets (as)?" (Muslim). 10 AH A delegation from Najraan visits Medina to ask further questions.... they remained Stubborn and finally the verse of Mubaahalah is revealed Surah 3 v 61. If these people would have accepted the challenge in (Surah 3 v61) they would then have returned to find none of their wealth nor of their families alive (Bukhari).

Al-Mugheera Ibn Shu’ba رضي الله عنه Session 23 The people of Ta'if refuse and reject The Messenger ﷺ. 12 laters later the entire tribe embrace the faith I received from my people a harsh treatment at Uhud. However, the hardest day that I ﷺ encountered was on the day of Aqabah when I ﷺ presented myself to Ibn Abd Yaaleel ibn Abd Kilaal (ie the Chieftain of Thaqeef who did not respond positively)... (Bukhari). Jibreel (as) descends to a cloud and speaks with The Messenger ﷺ.

Al-Mugheera Ibn Shu’ba رضي الله عنه (S19) The Thaqeef began negotiating about their Idol, Arrabbah. They asked The Messenger ﷺ if they could keep it for 3 years, The Messenger ﷺ said no. 2 years, 1 year, 1 month? All these were declined. They said we cannot destroy it ourselves, so The Messenger ﷺ said someone will be sent to deal with it. The Thaqeef delegation asked if they could go back to their people first, as to inform them of the situation. When they returned to their people, they put on an act, claiming: “This man [i.e ﷺ] is the most harsh, and he rules by the sword! He has prohibited Khamr, Zina and Riba and our idol!” The Thaqeef people were completely against this, and said to prepare for war. Some time passed and they calmed down, they then said: “Accept whatever he ﷺ says, we will follow him”. The delegation then dropped their act and said: “We have already done so. He ﷺ is not harsh nor does he lead by the sword. He is the softest and humblest of creation. We said the contrary first to rid

Al-Mugheera Ibn Shu’ba رضي الله عنه (S18) The Thaqeef began negotiations with our Messenger ﷺ. They asked if they could be excused from Fardh prayers, as they found it demeaning. Our Messenger ﷺ replied: “There is no goodness in Islam without Salah”. Our Messenger ﷺ: “Embrace Islam, even if you have doubts”. A common misconception is that one must be perfect before embracing Islam. This is opposite to the truth. The Thaqeef asked if they could be excused from Zakat and Jihad, which The Messenger ﷺ said is fine. They requested to be able to still do Zina, Riba and Khamar. Our Messenger ﷺ recited the respective verses prohibiting these things. The delegation were worried that their people back in Ta’if could never handle these conditions. A wise man amongst them said: “Men with him [i.e with The Messenger ﷺ] used to do all these things, now they have quit, so can we”. The only completely non-negotiable thing is Shirk.

Al-Mugheera Ibn Shu’ba رضي الله عنه (S17) A delegation of more than 10 nobles from the Thaqeef set off to see The Messenger ﷺ - this was some time after the martyrdom of Urwah Ibn Masood رضي الله عنه. They was split it into 2 sub-tribes: The Ahlafites, who were hosted by Mugheera رضي الله عنه, and the Malikites, who were hosted by The Messenger ﷺ himself. Our Messenger ﷺ would visit them everyday for long periods of time after Isha. He would mention how the Quraysh treated him. One day The Messenger ﷺ was late to these sessions - when asked why, he ﷺ replied it was due to a portion of the Qur’an that needed be recited. Our Messenger ﷺ would split the Quran into 7 portions and read it within a week.
