In Pastor George Sawyer's new series, Master Plan, we will take a fresh look at God’s design for who we are individually and corporately. What is God's master plan for a Spirit-empowered church? In Acts 2:42-47, the beginning of the Church, we see what the first Christians were devoted to. They had new priorities. If we have the same encounter, with the same God, we should have the same results as the first Christians did. God has a plan. It's a good plan. We each have a part in God’s Master Plan that no one else can do. What if we took the limits off and said God use me?

When was the last time you caused an uproar for the cause of Christ? If the early believers were accused of turning the world upside down, it’s time for the Church to turn the world upside down. God is birthing a new kind of Christian. Passively sitting in church is no longer an option. We are going to have to function in the supernatural! Pastor George Sawyer shows us what we can learn from Jesus when He came through His 40-day test. During Jesus's test the devil came to try to tempt Him. Our tests show us that we're ready for the next phase in life. God will never put us in a test that He's not sure we can pass. God is not tempting us, He's proving us. Before you walk into a test, Jesus has already said you can do it. Pastor Sawyer even explains why God made the devil. Pastor Josh Wilbanks uses blind Bartimaeus as an example of how we go from where we are to our purpose and destiny. His name means "son of Timaeus," but instead of being known by who his father was, he was labeled "blind Bartimaeus." He used his limitation to drop his expectation of himself. He became a beggar. But when he heard that Jesus was passing by, Bartimaeus cried out to the Savior and took off his beggar's cloak to follow Jesus. For Father's Day, Pastor George Sawyer brings sports-themed encouraging word to the fathers and men. Half time is where the heroes are made. How you live the second half of your life is what matters. Pastor Sawyer uses the example of Saul who had persecuted Christians, but had an half time encounter with Jesus and was transformed to Paul, the apostle of Jesus Christ. Half time is the time to ask: What did I do right? What did I do wrong? What do I need to change? When you tell God you're ready to change, He walks onto your team. It's never too later and it's never too early to change because you don't know how many opportunities you will have. Half time: It's our time! On the birthday of The Church, Pentecost Sunday, Pastor George Sawyer finishes his series, 40 Days. After Jesus's resurrection, He walked Earth for 40 days and during this time the disciples' faith was authenticated. After He ascended to Heaven, the disciples met together in prayer for 10 days. On the 10th day, the Day of Pentecost, the Holy Spirit came upon them and gave them power to be witnesses. Through the disciples' example, Pastor Sawyer shows us that if we pass our time of proving, we're going to receive an outpouring. We have the opportunity to be empowered to make us act like Him. In part 3 of the 40 Days series, Pastor George Sawyer uses the account of David's battle with the giant Goliath to show us how we can pass the tests and defeat the giants in our lives. Forty days represents a season of testing, proving, or authentication. In this message, we learn how David was able to win his battle because he had private times with God when his faith was authenticated. The test is ours, but the battle is the Lord's. Whether it's 40 days or 40 years, the number 40 in scripture represents a season of testing or authenticating our faith. During these seasons, the question we should ask is not "Why?" but "How?" How should I respond? Using the example of the Children of Israel spying out the Promised Land, Pastor George Sawyer shows us that giants in our lives are doorways to our next levels. In his new series, Pastor George Sawyer explains that in scripture, 40 days not only represent a length of time, but also a season of testing or proving. These seasons can precede advancement and promotion. Testing is when we have the opportunity to prove we are ready for the next thing. God does not want to put us in a situation we’re not ready for. In part 1, Pastor Sawyer uses the example of the disciples during Jesus's 40 days on Earth after His resurrection. The disciples had victories and failures during their season of testing, but Jesus helped and restored the disciples through it all, as He does today for us. Take the Offense Test. Do you say things like: I'd be better off if it wasn't for ____? If they hadn't done that? If this hadn't happened?, etc? Everyone has dealt with offenses. Jesus said that one of the signs of the last days is that many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another. EVERYONE has dealt with offenses. An offense is a trap set to lure you into sin. If you’re trapped, God a wat out. Pastor George Sawyer gives examples of Joseph in the Bible who had to deal with offenses from family, leadership, and trusted acquaintances and how he dealt with them, in part 3 of the Escape Room series. Even when we are born-again, Satan has traps set for Christians. Pastor George Sawyer continues the Escape Room series and tells us how to come out of all the escape rooms and traps that keep us from God's blessings. The will of God is for us to be free. One trap is offense. Jesus said that offenses will come. People will hurt, betray, disappoint, lie to, and wound us. Pastor Sawyer helps us understand what the trap is, how it works, and how we get out of it. No one can make you go in to a trap, and no one can make you stay. For the celebration of Jesus's Resurrection, Pastor George Sawyer's illustrated message was in the style of the popular gaming event Escape Room, in which a group is "locked" in a room and given clues to lead them to the way out before their time is up. Some clues in the game are helpful, but some clues are lies. As in life are trapped by pain, fear, depression, etc, but God gives us clues to escape those trappings. Listen to how Jesus has made a way out for us.

Pastor George Sawyer continues his Resident God series explaining that He who created the universe lives in us, but He also wants to live through us. The Church is the Body of Christ to represent Him to the world through the work of Holy Spirit. Just as our bodies have different parts with different functions, so does the Body of Christ. We don't all represent Him in the same way — God has given us different spiritual gifts. How does God living in us impact our lives? Pastor George Sawyer teaches us that if we try to live life in the natural realm, we can only go so far and do so much. We need the supernatural to do in life what we cannot do on our own. The Resident God in us provides the supernatural. He gives us the fruit of the Spirit and the gifts of the Spirit, so we can represent Jesus outside of the church building—in our homes, on our jobs, at school, etc. He wants the people around us to experience Him.
