In John 16:33 Jesus introduces us to two overlapping realities that we find ourselves in the middle of. The middle can be filled with trouble, pain, & heartache. But it also contains an overcoming Savior. In this message we learn what to do & where to turn when we find ourselves in the midst of the troubles and pains of life.

Life was not meant to be lived alone! We build our faith best in the context of relationships. We need a small group of people we can connect with, not just the large Sunday morning experience. We need people in our lives…people who know us, love us, and remind us of who we really are. Come explore what happens when we let others in and find out it is better when it is together.

Influence means the power to affect or to sway. Wither our sphere of influence is big or small we all posses this power and how we choose to use it does matter! Through two stories we find in the scriptures we will see wither it is on an EPIC or EVERYDAY scale when we leverage our influence we can impact peoples lives.

CROSSROADS: Finding Gods will for your life obviously is an important deal, but very many of us its just seems so difficult to discover. Could it be we have made figuring out Gods will for our lives more complicated than it should be? In this message we see how God uses our passion and talents to direct us in our lives. Also, we will see that Gods will for you could be as simple as what St. Augustine said, Love God and then do what you want!

When surrounded by the overwhelming needs of others it is easy to just ignore them or disengage from them. How can you make a difference in a big world with big needs when everything you have to offer seems, by comparison, small and inadequate? By following one simple suggestion you might not be able to change the entire world, but you can change someone's world.

So what can we learn from an obscure Old Testament character by the name of Shamgar? He is so obscure that all we know about him comes from one verse found in Judges 3:31; After him was Shamgar the son of Anath, who killed six hundred men of the Philistines with an ox goad; and he also delivered Israel.
