Ever listen to the way you pray, and to the prayers of those around you? If you do you'll often hear phrases —familiar words we've probably been saying over and over to God since we first learned how to pray. Words and phrases like, Bless me, Be with me, Watch over and protect me, etc. Yet, while these prayers are part of the Biblical journey, the fact that they dominate our conversations with God can indicate a me-centered faith that is distant from the New Testament life we are called to in Jesus. In this series we want to REMIX or RETHINK the words and phrases we use in our conversations with the Creator. By doing so we will hopefully move towards a healthier, God-centered prayer language that saturates our thoughts, words, & lives!

GUILTLESS: Guilt is like a heavy weight that slows so many of us down and acts like a road block to us moving forward in our Christian walk. Even believers who acknowledge and accept the cross often live under a cloud of condemnation, ashamed and wondering where they stand with God. But it doesn’t have to be that way! The whole world stands guilty before God because or our sin, and He gave us the ultimate sacrifice to end our guilt, and cover our sin through His son, Jesus. Before you take the guilt trip again, consider the cross of Jesus and experience the guiltless life we have in Christ!

There was a long-standing principle for God's people to tithe, give, or be charitable to those in need. It was a given that the people of God should give, but when Jesus came on the scene He raised the bar. He didn't just call us to give, but to be generous!
