A (K)night To Forget, Panthers Lose 7-3 In Bean Town
20/12/2022 Duration: 32minOn today's edition of the Locked On FLORIDA Panthers Podcast, Armando Velez(@Mandoman12) is here to discuss the Panthers' 7-3 Loss against the Boston Bruins where goaltending was the difference in this one. Spencer Knight started in his first game in almost 2 weeks , and Boston scored the first 4 goals of the game, mostly with 0 traffic in front from the perimeter, and some off juicy rebounds from Knight. The Panthers made a bit of a run scoring 3 goals in a 5:20 span and cut it to 1 in the 2nd period. That was all the Panthers had as far as generating chances as the Bruins ran away with this one scoring the last 3 goals to make it a 7-3 final, despite the Panthers generating multiple chances on Vezina Trophy favorite Linus Ullmark. We discuss the goalie situation in Florida, and when Spencer's next game should be. Panthers With Huge Road Win In New Jersey, But Lose Aleksander Barkov in the Process
19/12/2022 Duration: 36minOn Today's Edition of the Locked On FLORIDA Panthers Podcast, Armando Velez(@Mandoman12) is here to discuss the Panthers' 4-2 win over the New Jersey Devils, where the Sergei Bobrovsky and the Panthers Defensed matched speed-for-speed against the high flying Devils. Panthers had a response to every odd man rush that the Devils had early, and basically eliminated them the rest of the way. The scored first, which mostly has led to wins this season for the Panthers, the Ekblad-Forsling pairing played one of their best games of the season, and Reinhart got 2 goals(including one on the PP, their first in the last 5 games). The Cats did lose their Captain Aleksander Barkov towards the end of the first period and were down to 11 Forwards once again, something we've seen all season. We discuss whether the play by Nico Hischer was intentional and discuss how long we should expect Barkov to be out after not returning after the 1st period. We discuss this and more on today's edition of the Locked On FLORIDA Panthers Pod

Panthers Disastrous Special Teams Lead To 4-2 Loss Against Pittsburgh
16/12/2022 Duration: 38minIt's a Friday Edition of the Locked On FLORIDA Panthers Podcast, as Armando Velez(@Mandoman12) recaps the 4-2 loss against the Pittsburgh Penguins. Despite taking the early lead, the Panthers kept Pittsburgh in this by not converting on breakaways and second chances as Penguins goalie Tristan Jarry stood on his head in this one. Despite the Panthers leading the way 5-on-5(SOG: 31-30 FLA 5-on-5 and 50-47 CF% in favor of Florida), the Panthers Special teams were horrid. Panthers gave up a short handed goal and 2 PPG's and couldn't get anything going against the Penguins PK unit(4th best PK% n the NHL). Panthers also took costly penalties that lead to those two goals, including Verhaeghe taking one in the offensive zone and Aaron Ekblad with a puck over glass while trying to clear the zone. Despite no Matthew Tkachuk, Anton Lundell, and Radko Gudas, the Panthers had their chances on breakaways and on the doorstep. Sergei Bobrovsky continues to play well after having a full week's worth of starts with Spencer Kni

Nothing Great Came Out This Weekend For The Cats
13/12/2022 Duration: 36minOn today's edition of the Locked On FLORIDA Panthers Podcast, Armando Velez(@Mandoman12) is back to discuss the Weekend for the Cats, as the Panthers struggled once again against their in-state rival Tampa Bay Lightning. Saturday's game was very reminiscent to their playoff series last year as Tampa Bay took away so many shooting lanes for the Panthers over and over again. Armando discuss that even though the game was tied at 1 going into period 3, the game was lost in period 2 where they had almost 8 minutes of power play time and only generated 3 shots on goal. It was not any better on the second end of the back-to-back, as the Panthers fall behind early once again with turnovers in their own zone, and the Kraken living in the low slot all game long and taking away the neutral zone for Florida. After Bobrovsky made an incredible leg save on Ryan Donato, Coach Paul Maurice called a rare second period timeout as he did not like the effort from his team. Even though the Panthers did not mount a comeback on Sun
