On today's edition of the Locked On FLORIDA Panthers Podcast, Armando Velez(@Mandoman12) brought in Nich Fairbanks(@Prudentia0) onto the show to breakdown the Panthers' 3-0 win in Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final. The Oilers controlled play for a majority of the contest, but the Panthers were opportunistic on the night with their limited scoring chances as they scored in each period in Game 1. Panthers got on the board 3:59 into the first off a 3-on-2 rush in whcih Carter Verhaeghe finished to get to his 10th goal of the postseason. They also got another goal early into the second period where on Sam Bennett's dump and chase, where Bennett got on the forecheck, centered it to Evan Rodrigues in the slot and Florida took a 2-0 lead 2:16 into the 2nd. Panthers capped it off with an empty net goal by Eetu Luostarinen with less than 5 seconds left to give the Panthers the 1-0 series lead in the Final, a first in franchise history. The Rangers had the territorial advantage but the Panthers' pressure on NY had gotten to the point where New York was throwing pucks on net hoping it'd stick. Florida cashed in on a give-and-go by Evan Rodrigues and Sam Bennett after Jacob Trouba missed a hip check, allowed a quick rush to the net where Bennett scored bar down to make it 1-0 before the first period ended. The guys break down Florida's 3-2 win for the Panthers over the New York Rangers from Madison Square Garden to take a 3-2 series lead. The first period saw the Rangers getting the majority of the shots on net, but the Panthers getting more of the quality. Rangers were first to get on the scoresheet after Matthew Tkachuk turned the puck over on the PP and Chris Kreider got his goal of the series short handed. Florida would then score just over six minutes later after Gustav Forsling got through the Rangers defense in transition, his shot trickled off the left pad of Igor Shesterkin and off the crossbar and in to tie the game at one. The Cats would be the team in the third period to once again tilt the ice in their favor and they didn't stop after they killed off a penalty in the third where they had a hard time gaining the zone. On today's edition of the Locked On FLORIDA Panthers Podcast, Armando Velez(@Mandoman12) brought in Jacob Winans(@JacobWinans8) to the show to break down the Panthers' 3-2 OT win over the New York Rangers in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Final from Amerant Bank Arena. The game saw the Cats come out on top 1:12 into the extra frame after Sam Reinhart delivered on a one-timer in a familiar spot to give the Cats the win and tie the series at 2. The Panthers did not get off to the best of starts as New York was dominating the pace of play in the first 20 minutes, and even took the lead going into the first intermission. After that, it was all Panthers where they got on the scoresheet three seconds after the power play expired thanks to Sam Bennett staying with the play after Igor Shesterkin was out of his net and Bennett hit the puck off the goaltender and in. It's now the second straight game in which the Panthers lose in the extra frame (won 11 games in a row in OT prior to the last two). The Panthers controlled play once again on the night, but New York once again picked their spots to create mistakes into goals on the night, with untimely pinches, tip-in's, and New York's counter attack. Florida had six power play opportunities on the afternoon, where Sam Reinhart scored his first goal on the man advantage since Game 4 of Round One, then added another later in the first period. There was a missed opportunity for Florida when the Rangers Defenseman Jacob Trouba went to the box for two separate penalties. On today's edition of the Locked On FLORIDA Panthers Podcast, Armando Velez(@Mandoman12) is here to break down the Panthers' 2-1 loss against the New York Rangers from Madison Square Garden. This was the Panthers' first loss in OT in the postseason since 2016. The Rangers came out with a big jump to start the game, which included a goal after a hit by Alexis Lafreniere on Verhaeghe which resulted in Vincent Trocheck converting off the turnover. Florida however weathered multiple storms as they doubled the amount of times they went to the box in game two, but still came of this one without giving up a goal on the power kill. New York had very little answers for Aleksander Barkov once again, and Gustav Forsling was a force on the penalty kill, especially when the Rangers were on a 4-on-3. Florida got their first power play goal since Game 4 of the previous series, breaking an 0-13 drought. Despite that, they have killed 24 of their last 25, so they have been able to keep the Rangers top performers in check. New

It was a near perfect game for the Cats as they suffocated the Rangers in their own end for most of the night. Florida was able to suppress shots once again that allowed Sergei Bobrovsky to leave his best for last. New York came into the series with the best power play in the postseason, but Florida stayed disciplined on the night where they went to the box only twice. Rangers tried different line combinations to try to create some type of spark but they could not get anything going.
