On today's edition of the Locked On FLORIDA Panthers Podcast, Armando Velez(@Mandoman12) was joined by Jacob Winans(@JacobWinans8) for another edition of Winans Wednesday(on a Thursday) to break down the Panthers' 3-0 shutout win over the New York Rangers in Game 1 from Madison Square Garden. It was a near perfect game for the Cats as they suffocated the Rangers in their own end for most of the night. Florida was able to suppress shots once again that allowed Sergei Bobrovsky to leave his best for last. New York came into the series with the best power play in the postseason, but Florida stayed disciplined on the night where they went to the box only twice. Rangers tried different line combinations to try to create some type of spark but they could not get anything going. Florida broke through toward the end of the first period thanks to Matthew Tkachuk with a shot through a screen, where that ended up being the GWG.
