The story of Exodus is often remembered for the plagues, the parting of the Red Sea, and Israel’s dramatic rescue from Egypt. But Exodus is about more than what God set His people free from. It’s about what He set them free for. As we walk through the book of Exodus, we’ll discover what this ancient story teaches us about freedom in Christ, our identity, and God’s purpose for our lives today. Because God’s rescue has always had a purpose. He doesn’t just set us free from what holds us back. He sets us free to become who He created us to be, for the sake of the world He loves. You were set free for a reason.
