ALTIS Connect - MVT Screening, Assessment and Intervention w Pfaff, Starrett, Cubos and the Livingstons
30/03/2021 Duration: 54minIn this episode, I was invited to steward a performance conversation with an experienced group of human performance practitioners around the subject of movement screening, assessment, and intervention. Having coach Dan Pfaff introduce the session with a 30-minute walkthrough of their Living Screen process (you can find that gem on the ALTIS website (https://altis.world/) was a great introduction. Taking the insights from the likes of physical therapist Kelly Starrett, chiropractor Jeff Cubos, and athletic therapist Jaime Livingston who all hold professional capacity in performance training as well, was a powerful look at how these different practitioners see and change movement, or when they choose not to intervene. If you liked this EP, please take the time to rate and comment, share with a friend, and connect with us on social channels IG @Kingopain, TW @BuiltbyScott, LI+FB Scott Livingston. Sunday Re-Marks - Our Fellow Human Being
21/03/2021 Duration: 14minIn this episode, I talk about the constant seemingly endless exemplification of racism and sexism rampant in our society today. One would expect we would have learned and come to a place of compassion and respect for our fellow human beings by now, but it seems we have not. Those of us who think differently must exemplify what it is to simply respect and honor our fellow human beings. No, if's and's or but's!If you liked this EP, please take the time to rate and comment, share with a friend, and connect with us on social channels IG @Kingopain, TW @BuiltbyScott, LI+FB Scott Livingston. Sunday Re-Marks - What If You're Wrong?
14/02/2021 Duration: 11minIn this week's episode, I talk about the weight of our absolute belief in what we have come to "Know". Do we know anything, or is it really that we have come to understand something? When we understand something, how did we come to understand it, what underpins our belief? Finally, when expressing or reflecting on anything, can we ask ourselves the question, "What if I am wrong?" I hope you enjoy this moment of reflection. If you liked this EP, please take the time to rate and comment, share with a friend, and connect with us on social channels IG @Kingopain, TW @BuiltbyScott, LI+FB Scott Livingston.
