She is married with 2 children - and has a beagle, an African grey parrot, an aquatic turtle, and betta fish! She is an ENL teacher who also received a bachelor's in communications from Queens College and a Master's from Hofstra University.

Fernando Negrete

He is a kitchen designer at the Home Depot and persued a masters at LIU. Upon graduating NCC, he gifted his grandfather in Ecuador, with a framed degree to prove that language is not a barrier, but something that will lead a hard worker to success.

She earned her Associates Degree in Applied Sciences from NCC and an IT Certificate. She is also a chef, a church lector, an interpreter speaking French and Creole, and is pursuing her childhood education degree at SUNY Old Westbury.

She is also working at an elementary school after-school program. She is trying to pursue a career in counseling. She is a proud Guyanese woman who graduated summa cum laude from NCC with a degree in mass communication and media.

Alexandra 'Ally' Ramos

She is a singer, songwriter, and creative artist who produces her own music and has collaborates with many other musicals. She is also a model, and works as a heart monitor technician. She is a mother to a 6-year-old girl, and has more than 10 pets!

Ro Armand

She was a student volunteer, and is a current community volunteer at WHPC, and is currently persuing nursing, hoping to have dual careers.

She realized education was not her passion, so she came to Nassau Community College to persue TV and Radio. She volunteered at WHPC, interned at WKTU, and is now a part of the iHeartRadio National Events Team.

Janine Johns

She is the General Sales Manager for Connoisseur Media Long Island, which includes KJOY, MAX 103.1, 94.3 THE SHARK, WALK 97.5 and 104.7 WHLI, as well as Ferocious Media. Janine has worked in media for 25 years and is very passionate about radio and sales. She is also the mother of four!

Brian Buckley

Brian attended Catholic University of America studying politics, only to realize it was not his passion and returned home to NCC and the Honors Program. He worked in the Honors office. Brian is currently a high school English teacher in the Plainedge School District, where he is also serves as Vice President of the Teachers Union and the English Department Coordinator.

He is currently an advisor to the NCC Student Veterans club, volunteers at Long Island Cares and the Nest at NCC.

Kevell Allie
06/01/2023 Duration: 24minDr. Lynnda Nadien talks with Kevell Allie, Nassau Community College Class of 2019! He joined the Alumni Association in the fall of 2018 as a student and now joins as one of the Board of Directors. During his time as a student at Nassau Community College, Kevell was a staff member at Vignette newspaper, Secretary and Public Relations of Haraya (Nassau’s Black Student Union), and had been involved in Student Government Association. In addition, he volunteered and worked in Orientation for Student Activities to guide incoming freshmen students and tour them around the campus. Kevell is currently attending Farmingdale State College, and he will be expected to graduate in the fall of 2022 with a bachelor's in Business Management.
