Aurora Workman and Lynnda Nadien talk with David Sherwin, who currently works in the insurance industry after leaving a radio career more than 10 years ago. David once worked at Party 105.3 on Long Island with Vic Latino. At Nassau Community College, David was able to hone in on his strengths and weaknesses and is now a successful businessman.

Aurora Workman and Lynnda Nadien talk with Cassandra Mehu, a Pre-K teacher in Uniondale for over 6 years. She speaks three languages and has written a children's book called "Pablo In The City" and plans to work towards publication. She is currently pursuing an advanced degree in school district leadership at Adelphi University, but started her educational journey at Nassau Community College.

Aurora Workman and Lynnda Nadien talk with Yvette Vega, Director of Public Relations at FDA-approved Neurobehavioral Research Inc. She oversees community outreach, networking with referring institutions, developing strategic partnerships to negotiate contracts, train staff on protocols and build relationships to organize services. She is also a certified aerobics instructor and independent fitness instructor.

Aurora Workman and Lynnda Nadien talk to Kendra Jaffe, a volunteer who assists with several Long Island organizations. Her educational journey began at Nassau Community College.

Aurora Workman and Lynnda Nadien talk with Lonny Thomas, NCC Class of 2010. Lonny received his Associate’s Degree in Liberal Arts, and attended medical billing school and completed an internship with a physical therapist. Lonny currently works for the Uniondale School District as a custodian. He has great passion for music, and creates his own music in his own home studio.

Aurora Workman and Lynnda Nadien talk with Jennifer Kelly, an educator and education writer, certified teaching assistant and whole-child educational consultant. She graduated from NCC in 1998 and has over 20 years of experience studying and researching different forms of supplementary education. She attended Columbia University, Teachers College and Hofstra University.

Aurora Workman and Lynnda Nadien talk with Jacob Valk, who started his career at WHPC in June of 2016. Jacob began a radio career here on a show he created called ‘Beyond The Game.’ Jacob graduated in 2018 and is now persuing a BS in Sportscasting, and is the host of the sports talk podcast ‘The Jacob Valk Show.’

Aurora Workman and Lynnda Nadien talk with Dr. Thomas O’Brien, a doctor of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. O’Brien has dedicated his life to not just treating his patients, but educating them so they can improve their lifestyle through healthier choices. He is known for his ability to explain complex medical problems in simple terms, allowing all patients to understand, treat and control their well-being, and he is a proud alum of NCC.

Aurora Workman and Lynnda Nadien talk with Ginelle Sinclair, class of 2018. She graduated with her Associates in Liberal Arts and is still enrolled for a second degree in Business Administration. Her goal is to finish the Nursing program and become a pediatrician. She is also a business owner!

Aurora Workman and Lynnda Nadien talk with Rosalba Rocchio, a speech language pathology audiologist who serves as a Speech Therapist in the Uniondale Public Schools, and a proud graduate of NCC.

Aurora Workman and Lynnda Nadien talk with Orlandina Balan, Class of 1995. Orlandina is the owner and founder of The Fitter Woman, a Holistic Health and Wellness Company. She believes in finding one’s health via the mind, body and spirit. She has been an educator for 20+ years, a professional women’s physique athlete in the IFBB and is certified as an integrative nutrition health coach.

Jonathan Salazar re-enrolled at the College in 2016 and realized going to school will be his full-time job. He served as the President of the Marketing Club. He graduated Summa Cum Laude with top honors, receiving 10 scholarships and the SUNY Chancellors Award, and was admitted to NYU. He is an Associate Media Planner for GROUPM, which is a billion-dollar company.

Aurora Workman and Lynnda Nadien talk with Katherine Margaritis, NCC Class of 2013. She is now a professional photographer, aspiring singer/songwriter, and other freelance work in the entertainment field.

Aurora Workman and Lynnda Nadien talk with Katie Stewart, NCC Class of 1982. She is a kindergarten teacher in Levittown, and has been teaching for over 35 years. She was also an ordained Eucharistic Minister while on campus!

Aurora Workman and Lynnda Nadien talk with Roxana Velardi, NCC Class of 1982. Roxana went to St. John’s University after Nassau, in the education program of Teacher of Speech and Hearing Handicapped. She pursued Speech and Language Pathology and received her Master’s in Speech and Language from Adelphi University. She has been a speech pathologist for the Uniondale School District for the past 15 years.
