The name of the BLM protester that was shot in Austin was Garrett Foster. The BLM protester Garrett Foster was armed while approached a swarmed vehicle. The driver took the BLM protester as a threat and opened fire on the BLM protester killing the BLM protester, Austin Tx Mayor briefly commented on this incident and just blamed it on the number of guns on the streets. The BLM Protester did have a fiancé and family that he has left behind. The NYPD was trying to make an arrest when the suspect approached the scene and started swinging the cane or stick at the head of the NYPD. The man who assaulted the NYPD has not been arrested. The NYPD did release additional footage of the man with the stick or cane in hope someone will recognize the suspect and give the NYPD a call.
