Allegedly Jessica Doty Whitaker and her fiancée Jose Ramirez were walking the Indianapolis Canal Walk with 2 other friends when reportedly someone in their group used a racial slur. Another group heard the word from Jessica Doty Whitaker’s group and shouted “Black Lives Matter” and them. Jessica Doty Whitaker then shouted “Al’ Lives Matter” back to the offended group. The groups met and brandished weapons. All seem to be resolved but later the offended group waited for Jessica Doty Whitaker and her group and then opened fire, killing Jessica Doty Whitaker.
