Carl and Mike revisit their conversation with pass rusher trainer, Dezmon Walker, to which Carl states that after hearing what Walker had to say about several of the Falcons players including Ruke Orhorhoro, Arnold Ebiketie and Leonard Floyd, his excitement for the season has grown as he and Mike agree in hoping the team has a 'release the hounds' defensive mindset.

Carl and Mike get back into some brief Braves talk as they react to news of MRI results confirming Ronald Acuna Jr. has a Grade 1 calf strain and agree that while the injury is not as bad as it was feared to be, they believe the best thing to do is shut him down for the remainder of the season. They then get into some Falcons talk and react to comments by Raheem Morris who stated he they wanted to add 'edge' to the team in the draft which led to the selection of Jalon Walker and James Pearce Jr.

Carl and Mike react to The Morning Shift's interview w/ Kaden Ellis and agree the Falcons linebacker should be able to flourish in Jeff Ulbrich's system.

Carl and Mike come back with some brief Braves talk as they agree they could not believe things could get any worse for the team until Ronald Acuna Jr. was placed on the 10-day injured list due to Achilles tightness. As they discuss their disappointment in hearing of the Acuna Jr. injury, they share thoughts on whether or not Brian Snitker and his coaching staff should have sat the outfielder if reports are accurate of Acuna alerting them of some discomfort on Monday.

As they discuss, they react to comments by Zach Harrison who spoke about how the Falcons defense is different under Jeff Ulbrich, who is holding them to a high standard, which Carl and Mike agree should be the case if this team is going to win this season.

Carl and Mike come back with more Braves talk as they agree that there is no reason for the Braves to rush Ronald Acuna Jr. back to playing regardless of what the MRI results say as they believe the Braves are too far out of contention to reach the playoffs this season. It is simply not worth risking a more severe injury to the All-Star outfielder after he has already suffered two ACL tears the guys agreed.

Carl and Mike open up the show with some Braves talk and react to the news of Ronald Acuna Jr. being placed on the IL after dealing with Achilles tightness last night and share their thoughts on why they believe the All-Star outfielder should have been benched prior to the start of the game as it was reported Acuna Jr. initially felt some discomfort following Monday's game. As they discuss, they revisit Carl's comments from a few weeks back in which he stated he believed if the outlook for the remainder of the season would be heading for the Braves to miss the playoffs, then it would not make sense to keep running Acuna Jr. out to play.
