In the 4th hour of today's show, the guys hit the Falcons report. We chat with Grant McAuley in Around the Yard.

Carl and Mike are joined by Grant McAuley as they preview the Braves series with the Mets and discuss what will be important to see from the team the rest of the season.

Carl and Mike get back into some Falcons talk as they share more thoughts on what they saw during the joint practice with the Titans, particularly with the offense which the passes from Michael Penix Jr. to several wide receivers had them leave feeling good about where things are going this season. They also discuss the defensive backs and how well they played to which both Carl and Mike agree there was no surprise in how good they looked against the Titans

Carl and Mike get back into Falcons talk with more of their thoughts of the joint practice and discuss why they believe Michael Penix Jr. may not be getting enough reps to help prepare him for the season after it was announced today by Raheem Morris that it was likely Penix Jr. will not play in Friday's preseason game.

Carl and Mike are joined by KhaDarel Hodge as they discuss the Falcons first day of joint practices with the Titans and the goals he has established for himself heading into the season. They then get into some Georgia Bulldogs talk and share thoughts on Glen Schumann being focused on fixing the Dawgs' run defense, which they believe is going to be an important factor for Georgia to be in the hunt for another national title.

Carl and Mike share thoughts on Andy and Randy's interview with Khalid Kareem and discuss his comments in regards to believing Michael Penix Jr. has proven he is 'wise beyond his years' in regards to how he leads the offense.

Carl and Mike come back with more brief thoughts on why they believe the Falcons offense looked good in their first day of joint practices with the Titans. As they discuss, they also note Raheem Morris announcing Michael Penix Jr. will not participate in Friday's preseason game, to which the guys voice their frustration with the decision, however agree that if Morris feels 'comfortable' about the call, then there is no choice but for fans to be comfortable as well.

They also share some thoughts on how the Falcons may address the void of Darnell Mooney as he has remained out due to injury and discuss the performances of Casey Washington and Chris Blair, who they both agree have shown positive signs of being able to step up in Falcons offense.

Carl and Mike open up the show with thoughts on the Falcons joint practice with the Titans today and noted they believed the Falcons' defense looked good, however shared their frustration in hearing Raheem Morris prior to practice, that Michael Penix Jr. likely will not play again in this week's preseason game. As they discuss, they agree in their stance in believing it is important for Penix Jr. to get the reps as he is still heading into the season in which he only has three NFL starts under his belt.

Carl and Mike come back with some brief thoughts on news of Jon Gruden winning against the NFL in the Nevada Supreme Court and both agree how the former NFL coach was handled by the league. They also share some thoughts on Shedeur Sanders preseason debut and agree he took advantage of the opportunity and can only continue to do so when they are presented.

Carl and Mike revisit their conversation with DeMarcco Hellams and share why they believe he brings the physicality the Falcons defense must have this season as he returns from injury last season.

Carl and Mike get back into some Falcons talk and share more thoughts on what they hope to see during the team's joint practice with the Titans and why they believe that despite how much action the starters get over the next two days, the starters should get some reps in Friday's preseason game.
