Star Wars: Delusions Of Granular

Delusions of Granular is experiencing a down period in new Star Wars information so Steve takes it upon himself to go way back to the Legends comic: Tales of the Jedi. How does this old series hold up in light of all the new material out there than is now canon? Find out as Steve gets granular with the tales for thousands of years ago!

A few weeks ago Rian Johnson started filming on Episode VIII and shared with us a very quick tease of the opening of the movie...or did he? Ron is here to share his thoughts about this very quick glimpse of Luke and Rey. Does the next episode start immediately after The Force Awakens, a first for a Star Wars movie or is Mr. Johnson just toying with us. We here at SWDOG think that fans should take everything with a grain of salt until we get something official from Disney. Until then it's fun to speculate and get granular with Star Wars!

For the first time ever all three Delusions of Granular hosts are on the show at the same time. Jp, Ron and Steve sit down to talk about the crossover arc from Marvel's Star Wars and Darth Vader. Set between A New Hope and The Empire Strikes Back, we learn of a mission gone wrong where not only Darth Vader but Luke Skywalker as well crash land on a planet with the Rebels and Imperials not too far behind. Is this a tale of suspense and high drama or just another retread over territory we've already experienced? Find out as we get granular with Vader Down!

Before The Force Awakens, Delusions of Granular didn't know much about Adam Driver but with some downtime between Star Wars news Ron takes a look at the young actor's career. From a debut on Broadway to a small independent film career to a starring role on a hit HBO series, Driver seemed poised for greatness before he stepped into a galaxy far, far away. Ron takes a look at how Driver's performance as Kylo Ren differs from the portrayal of Darth Vader and why that is a good thing for the future of the Star Wars saga. Once again Steve Sheev takes a look at the Marvel comics, this time by reviewing the second arc in Star Wars: Darth Vader. Titled Shadows and Secrets, we learn more about what Vader has been up to after the events of A New Hope. How does this arc compare to the very well received first arc of the series? SWDOG's resident reviewer takes a look at the first story arc for Marvel's Darth Vader. Playing out after the events of A New Hope, Vader has new encounters, new adventures and new challenges. Is the Empire prepared to deal with the loss of the Death Star? And more importantly, who is this young pilot that was responsible for its destruction? Back in 1998 we all had high anticipation for the release of Episode One. Some of us went so far as to break into Skywalker Ranch and see an early cut of the film before it came out...or maybe that just happened in the movie Fanboys. Although it came out in 2009, ten years after The Phantom Menace, this movie tells the story of a group of friends so dedicated to Star Wars they are willing to go on a road trip and plan heist/break-in at Lucas's hallowed ground. But can a film that came out way after the Prequels capture that initial excitement over the anticipation of a Star Wars film? And could that excitement be portrayed again in other movies? The answers to all this and more as Ron gets granular with Fanboys!

Steve "Sheev" Shinder checks out the latest in the Marvel Star Wars series with another installment of the Kenobi Journals. This time around we learn more about how Old Ben was watching and helping a young Luke Skywalker on Tatooine.
