You Watched It Wrong

Wade goes deep into one flashback in Superbad, as only Wade can. (This was on the cutting room floor, but Siggy likes it so he's posting it.)

Some directorial debuts just seem so unhappy on the inside. And something about that just seems so sad. Not so Augustine Frizzell's NEVER GOIN' BACK, and Wade and Siggy have some ideas as to why. Then, Siggy formalizes how BOOKSMART, SUPERBAD, and GOOD BOYS belong to a sub-genre he coins "The BFF Quest"... and how NEVER GOIN' BACK both builds on and subverts its tropes.

Quentin Tarantino's latest has Wade and Siggy in their own little Mexican standoff, as they disagree on the depiction of violence, the characterization of Sharon Tate, and even the ellipsis in the title.
