Nathan, Nat & Shaun

Yep – he’s officially got his truck driver’s license and was meant to be hitting the road except people felt sorry for him and now he’s got loads of work! Well some work, anyway. We did make sure we got his faves from the servo Bain Marie – a pie and sausage roll, paired with a Choc Chill. A true truckie!   Shaun reckons he can’t help himself but be harder on his sons than his daughter – when he went to tell her off yesterday she started to cry and the whole thing ended in cuddles! Apparently daughters getting special treatment is a thing – especially for Casey who got spoilt by her Dad when he went to the TAB!   And when the guys give a prize away they sometimes want something in return….so in exchange for lotto tickets, Gabriel and Paul had to promise a percentage of the winnings. It’s been awhile but Mitch called in to update us on all things Wildcats – basically half the team has gone so we’re relying on him to hold them up! He’s been doing ok in iso – including taking part in a May the 4th nerdy Star Wars video. Love ya Mitch!   Our resident infectious diseases specialist Dr Clay Golledge gave us his opinion on returning to relative normality in WA – he’s cautiously optimistic! Matthew Pavlich called through to give his opinion on how and when the AFL should return – including word on a possible twilight grand final!   Peter Helliar joined the team to talk about series 2 of How To Stay Married – which is back tonight on Ten! Appropriate given lots of couples are stuck at home together trying to stay married…so watch it for some tips!   And a monkey riding a MOTORCYCLE snatched a small child in Indonesia – the kid was safe, but a MONKEY on a MOTOTRCYCLE is insane! Our mate behind the buttons Harry has never used the oven in his house – it’s been 18 months. Oprah has never put a doona cover on a doona! We heard from Mick who’s never been able to read an analog clock, and Victoria who has never done a roly poly, bless.   Sam Pang has never done us wrong that’s for sure – Have you Been Paying Attention? Returns tonight on Ten with a twist – everyone’s at home! The WA boys with the long hair are killing it on the show and told us about how they’ve figured out what bits are important, and what their favourite bricks are (a snot brick, apparently).   Another one of Perth’s treasures Narelda Jacobs from Ten is celebrating 20 years with the network! She gave us a rundown of her long career and how she’s going over in Sydney.   And we love a bit of a prank – a bloke completely smashed up his wife’s jigsaw as she was placing the last piece! Masterchef Judge and one of our favourite Scots (behind Braveheart of course) is Jock Zonfrillo, he gave us some insight into how stressed the contestants have been getting on the show, and talked about how these days getting yelled at by your chef boss isn’t as bad as it used to be.   A girl got stuck in a washing machine during a pretty intense game of hide and seek – turns out games can go wrong. Ros tried too hard to play the swing into the river game, and Jimmy’s mate got a bit of a shock to the cheekbone from a rogue pool ball.   And kinda funny scenes out of Indonesia, where police are forcing those who aren’t wearing face masks to do push-ups in the street! Other unusual punishments we heard about included very quietly opening and closing doors, and cutting up a bath towel every time it was left on the floor. That’s right – Mark McGowan got to meet Matt the Rockingham heckler this morning when we spoke to him on air. Matt was an interesting character to say the least…but like the rest of us, he just loves the hell out of Mark McGowan our Premier!   And Nathans dad Brian discovered this week that women don’t have Adam’s apples…at the age of 66. As the guys returned from a week’s break, parenting expert Maggie Dent called through to help out with parents who are returning their kids to school from tomorrow. Hectic times!   Steve Butler also chimed in to get the team across everything sport…*crickets*. Actually the AFLW All Australian team was announced and the lack of WA talent was not good according to Steve.   And some stories about when you just had to keep going with it….like Adam who was asked to drive his boss’s car, even though he couldn’t drive. Ben Elton dropped into the studio to chat about Queen (the band not the monarch), famous people living in WA and how he goes touring.   Karl Stefanovic had to defend himself when Shaun accused him of dyeing his hair – although he admitted to it currently looking very healthy.   And ever been in that situation where it was too awkward to correct someone? Lego Masters returns this week and Hamish is PUMPED - he’s still amazed with the absolute bonkers creations the contestants come up with each week. Perfect for lockdown viewing!   Speaking of lockdown – you’d think being stuck at home would mean less injuries. Not for our workmate Hannah, who managed to break her foot whilst in Iso. We heard more stories about injuries in lockdown, including one that involves pine-o-clean.   And the woman we all love to watch with the Premier – the amazing interpreter Fiona Perry joined us for a chat! She has to try and grasp the emotions and expressions of the person she is interpreting, as well as what they are actually saying. And no, her hands aren’t insured. Personal hand sanitiser – that’s the role that Mark McGowan suggested for Nathan! The Premier is also basically just in meting all day everyday – and he’s doing a fantastic job of running the state. He won’t take the praise though – it’s a team effort and we’ll get through the COVID together.   A guy over in China just had a knife removed from his head after a casual twenty six years. The guys heard stories about other things stuck inside people, like Christmas decorations, bullets and insects. Ex-employee Shaan left yesterday and took a big tub of hand sanitiser with him. Turns out taking stuff from work when you finish up is thing! Like Amy who took 3 months’ worth of meat when she got laid off from a butcher.   Justin Longmuir our beloved coach of Freo gave as an update on the COVID sitch at Freo, the boys are desperate to get out and about and kick the footy! Plus he told us about his son who sold his PlayStation before this COVID thing.   And a bloke who won a joy flight pressed the wrong button and ejected himself from the aircraft! Our very own news darling Tracy Vo is back in the west to be here for the WA lockdown – and she’s very happy to be home! The guys got up to date with how she’s been coping, and also checked in with her parents to make sure they’re doing ok.   Steve Butler updated the team with all things sport – which he says shouldn’t be super far away from returning. Fingers crossed anyway!   And people are being fined for participating in non-essential activities, and it’s costing them a fortune! Seems everyone is baking now we’re all stuck in isolation – Donna offered some tips for Hot Cross Buns, and told us a bit too much about her feet. We love you Donna!   Lynne McGranger AKA Irene from Home & Away called through to give us her hand sanitizer recipe, and let us know Home & Away has 6 months of episodes in the can so Summer Bay should be ok!   And some decisions you regret for a long time – like a old lady who accepted a bell as a gift instead of painting, which ended up being worth millions. Michelle denied her husband some shares in a company which is now rather large…and Shaun, well Shaun invested in the wrong pub. Dr Clay Golledge called in to explain how bringing the social distancing measures back to normal now is NOT a good idea. He also reckons wearing gloves can be helpful – Nathan had other ideas!   We dialled into the Galapagos islands – that’s right, there’s a guy over there stranded with his wife on a boat, they can’t get off! Covering the important stuff – the guys asked Karl is he’s been using ‘Just for Men’ because his hair looks darker. He says no. He also reckons things are pretty tough with a new baby in isolation, but like everyone he is pushing through.   Fitzy buzzed through to the show to catch up on all things Iso – his kids have been learning breakdancing!
