Steve Butler joined the guys to talk sport – which isn’t much at the moment to be fair! The guys reminisced about the good old days and also got some racing talk in – the only sport industry that’s still moving along at the minute. Vonny told the guys about her teenage boyfriends run in with her Dads shotgun, and Grant remembers the inside of the boot of his car from all those time trying to sneak into the drive-ins for free.   Plus we heard from Janelle whose daughter has started playing ‘Work Mum’ role play games. The Aussie Men’s cricket coach called in to talk about the Amazon prime documentary ‘The Test’ about the team’s recovery from scandal – it’s amazing, JL is amazing. He’s also reminding us to stay safe and with our families during this tough time – something he’s loving doing.   Hero #2 – Twiggy Forrest. Possibly the nicest billionaire ever – his foundation has pledged up to 160 million bucks to get medical gear from China for WA. What a hero.   Hero #3 – Patrick Zippel. He’s just a regular guy stuck in quarantine in a 5-star hotel, and surprise everyone – he’s not complaining about it! Po from Master Chef is back on our screens on Easter Monday so she called in for a chat.   Adam Gilchrist aka Gilly called in – he gave NNS a quick update on the cricket.   The guys put the question out there – when is it okay to dob your neighbours in? With the uncertainty of school closures and Year 12’s ATAR we caught up with Penrhos Principle Meg Melville to find out what the school has implemented as a result of COVID19.   Also, with lockdowns and self-distancing now in place we wanted to know what your weekend plans are? We had not one but two footballers on the show this morning, ex Brisbane Lions Captain Jonathan Brown aka Browny discussing the current AFL pay cuts and Freo Docker Michael ‘Sonny’ Walters giving is the low down on what it’s been like since having to self-isolate at home with the fam! The latest announcement to hit the headlines is interstate travel will be banned with the borders closing. NNS spoke to people who have had their travel plans disrupted.   Brooke from Survivor got the boot last night and she’s gutted she didn’t make the Grand Finale on Monday night. The guys normally call Liam Bartlett for a ratings boost but today they were in for a treat – his daughter Olivia called in. She wrote a great article online about the younger generation dealing with the Covid-19 situation.   Neroli Meadows spoke to NNS about her latest podcast ‘Ordineroli Speaking’. We spoke to Trent Cooper, coach of the Fremantle Dockers AFLW team, who’ve played the full season undefeated and have just been told their season is cancelled and no one wins. Understandable in the circumstances, but we reckon they really could have picked out a winner!   Speaking of sports, comedian Luke McGregor does none of them! SO much happening, only one show to cover it!   Round One of the AFL is on, our Freo Docker Sonny Walters called in to talk about how pumped the boys are to play Essendon, and how they’re all coping with isolation.   Costco opened this morning – our ex-Eagle mate Masto’s Mum was there, in the line that stretched around the whole store TWICE. Unsure if she got in – she could still be there!   Mitch Norton also called in – the NBL should make their decision today on who wins the Championship, we are SO behind the Wildcats it’s not funny.   And Shaun’s a hypochondriac – the slightest sore throat he has been completely freaking out about. Our West Coast Eagle Tom Barrass called through from isolation in his home – training may be difficult but hey, his lawn looks great! We’re all waiting with bated breath to see what the AFL will decide for round 1 2020….   Channel Ten’s Lachy Reid joined the guys to chat about the current NBL situation – should the Wildcats be declared champions? We think so.   And Adam & Symon previously of Gogglebox fame have a new show on Fox Footy reliving the 90s in AFL – something to try and take your mind of the COVID-19. The Premier of our great state Mark McGowan called in – he is taking everything Coronavirus-y very seriously and the government is doing their best to update us as often as possible. He’s not happy with the panic buying though – PLEASE make sure you think of others when you go the shops. Seriously guys, we gotta stick together!   Another big boss – Pav himself! Matthew Pavlich reckons he would struggle to work from home – maybe a cross to Nine news form his loungeroom wouldn’t go down super well. He reckons the changes to the AFL are fluid, they aren’t sure exactly how the season will play out, we will just have to wing it.   And our old mate Fitzy also called in – the boys had to do their show from home in Sydney thanks to Richard Wilkins exposing everyone at Nova Sydney with COVID-19. We crossed to Richard who’s been diagnosed with COVID-19 (he’s fine – no symptoms!) – he likely caught it from Tom Hanks’ wife Rita Wilson. He’s in good spirits, he’s been delivered baked beans by his daughter and he’s kinda ok with chilling at home for a few days. On COVID-19 – we spoke to our resident infectious diseases specialist Dr Clay Golledge who encouraged us to take this whole thing very seriously – he said it’s the first time he’s ever been concerned about a virus in his 35 years of experience. But no panic buying – the shops will keep going guys. Seriously. Plus we spoke to Steve Butler about the cancellations of pretty much all of the sports, and heard your stories about the chaos at the shops over the weekend – including trolley stealing and ramming into people! Happy Friday! The one and only Michael ‘Sonny’ Walters is our man for 2020, and even though he couldn’t come in to meet us (thanks COVID-19!) he called through to tell us how pumped he is for the season - and being part of our team! We crossed to Drew Jones from FOX Sports who was at Albert Park as the Grand Prix cancelation announcement happened.  And our boss Dave told us about how someone has just assumed that he has a kid - and now the situation has just become to awkward for him to correct it. Lovely. The Prime Minister of Australia called in – to explain how the government is trying to counteract a recession from the Coronavirus outbreak. The guys suggested more toilet paper. Maybe not. Good mate Mitch Norton called in ahead of the Wildcats big 2nd finals match tomorrow at Perth Arena, plus had Zach the latest eliminee from Survivor drop by to go over his complete blindsiding at tribal council last night. That’s right – we met our brand new West Coast Eagle, he likes gardening, is studying a whole bunch of really smart subjects at uni, and is also pretty decent at footy. Bring on Tom Barrass for 2020! Scott Pape the Barefoot Investor has a doco airing tonight on Foxtel about the recovery effort for those affected by bushfires – he offers some pretty decent financial advice for them. And Ceinwen Roberts is a Perth local who is swimming to Rotto QUADRUPLE times! Newsreader Ellie’s mate Alsha is currently in Rome where the country is in lockdown thanks to the coronavirus outbreak. She told us it’s eerily quiet and no one is really going out – but they DO have plenty of toilet paper! Speaking of toilet paper – one local shop has put all its supply out the back and is only providing loyal customers with rolls. Loyalty does pay off – just ask Scott , who runs a post office and hands out bottles of wine to his best customers at Christmas time. And the woman herself, the horoscope lady from the paper – Joanne M Moore – she exists! And she gave the guys their horoscopes for the day, plus explained to Shaun why he’s so bad with finances.
