Nathan, Nat & Shaun Podcast - 5th December 2018
05/12/2018 Duration: 51minPlenty of sports chat today, including Nathan’s favourite – cricket! Simon Katich called through to give his predictions for the first text in Adelaide, and the guys also tested his ‘West Australian-ness’ – it’s definitely a thing. Greg Hire called in to preview the Wildcats game against Sydney tomorrow, and also to tell a decent joke for once. We actually laughed. In some bonkers sports-related news, Aussie cricket Usman Khawaja’s brother has been charged for allegedly faking up some terror threats to frame someone – in order to get a girl. The guys heard from other victims of jealousy, like Kim whose kids couldn’t handle being jealous, and Mel, who had a full on story about her Grandma. And rugby legend Billy Slater called through to plug his new book ‘Move’ – and also to chat about a possible rugby team here in WA….it could happen! Nathan, Nat & Shaun Podcast - 4th December 2018
04/12/2018 Duration: 24minA man says he’s sick of hearing about his mates renovations, and Nat and Shaun reckon they’re sick of Nathan banging on about his favourite TV show. Nicole is over her friends constant talking about Doterra oils, and Ryan, well, Ryan reckons people get sick of him banging on about his hobby. And he’s right. They do. The wonderful Donna Hay called through for the last time this year to chat about the lead-up to Christmas, explain how to not cook a turkey, and also to burn Nathan. Classic Donna. And Nathan had a bit of an experience with the police at his apartment yesterday! He ended up being called to action - and apparently that’s happened to plenty of other people too. George had to help the bomb squad locate a threat, Rochelle had to keep watch over an accomplice to a crime, and poor old Dierdre had her animal taken into duty. Nathan, Nat & Shaun Podcast - 3rd December 2018
03/12/2018 Duration: 33minSometimes in life you do something that people think is kind of sad, like Nathan using the Chicken Treat drive thru for a single meal on Christmas Day. We think that’s a little sad. Caitlin spent Christmas being lonely with a single bon-bon, and Kyle and his friends had nothing to eat but soggy bread for the Xmas lunch. All a bit sad, really. The Premier dropped by for his final visit for the year, and we gave a him a fracking and half! Though he handled himself pretty well. Plus we asked about the change to extended Xmas trading hours. Here’s hoping he comes back in 2019! And Naked & Afraid has teamed up with Shark Week to bring us Naked and Afraid of Sharks! Ky took part in it and she is AWESOME – she’s also a stunt chick in the movies and we want to be her best friend. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Nathan, Nat & Shaun Podcast - 29th November 2018
29/11/2018 Duration: 27minAbsolute madness this morning – a lady has come under fire from other parents in her class because she refused to take part in the ridiculously expensive shared gift for the teacher. Kelly called through, she didn’t eat for a week after she forked out for a shared wedding gift when she was at uni. And Shim is a teacher, she reckons the best gifts are from the heart…but she wouldn’t go past a fancy weekend away, kids. Maggie Dent came in for the last time this year, to a million questions from Shaun as usual. She also helped out Michelle who has a problem 17 year old son, and Danielle, whose son is a fan of biting. And the ARIAs were on last night – the guys gave the night a review and kudos to the legend Kasey Chambers. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Nathan, Nat & Shaun Podcast - 28th November 2018
28/11/2018 Duration: 33minVance Joy called in fresh from Nova’s Red Room last night to chat before his performance tonight at the ARIA’s! He compared himself to celebrities and picked one single cover he would perform over and over again. It wasn’t Taylor Swift! A guy tried hang-gliding for the first time and the instructor completely forgot to clip him on meaning he clung to dear life the entire time. James tried parasailing for the first time and lost a garment of clothing that he’ll never forget. And Nicole tried a reverse bungee jump and ended up with bruises that didn’t go away for months. And the WA vs NSW Sheffield Shield game is underway at Optus Stadium, bowler Ashton Agar called through to talk about his teammate Jye Richardson’s 8 wickets, the food at Optus Stadium, and how he’s stoked to be in Perth for Xmas. Nathan, Nat & Shaun Podcast - 27th November 2018
27/11/2018 Duration: 36minNat’s back! And her triumphant (sort of) return came with a title from her doctor. He said her ankle injury was the first he’d seen of the Christmas season! So we heard some other stories about being the first. Speaking of the Christmas season, we had the Nova Christmas party across the weekend (where Nat injured her foot) and all took part in a secret Santa. Nathan got deviled eggs, Nat got a rude cookbook and Shaun got a walking stick. We heard about some other weird secret Santa gifts, like dog food, and a very delicately wrapped piece of fruit. Anthony Mundine called in this morning, apart form his trash talking of our mate Danny Green he did make us laugh talking about his mums cooking and how he reckons Jeff Horn is boring. And the front page of today’s paper features ‘Knickers’ the giant cow. He’s as tall as a human! We asked for people to finish the sentence, ‘I have a really big....’ with hilarious results. Big ceramic fruits? Check. Big wooden animals? Check. Big foodstuffs with funny backstories? T

Nathan, Nat & Shaun Podcast - 26th November 2018
26/11/2018 Duration: 35minBoys club today thanks to Nat taking a tumble at the work Christmas Party...shenanigans all round! Shaun accidentally threw away a winning betting voucher on Saturday, and spent a great deal of time sorting through the bin. And no, he didn’t find it. Luckily others have done the same, like poor old James who lost a wedding ring in a giant bin...only a few months after he found it the marriage didn’t go so well... Ever heard of that massive drug lord in Colombia Pablo Escobar? Chances are you have, and if you haven’t, go watch Narcos on Netflix and be blown away. The guys had the opportunity to speak to DEA Agent Steve Murphy who was part of the team who took down Pablo Escobar, and he had some pretty eye opening stories to tell. And Greg Hire called through to join in on the boys club, and also to chat about the Wildcats amazing come from behind win yesterday, and how the NBL season is panning out pretty darn good for the boys. And of course, the ever not-hilarious Dad jokes ensued. See o

Nathan, Nat & Shaun Podcast - 23rd November 2018
23/11/2018 Duration: 45minA flight over in Poland was stuck on the runway – and the airline asked the passengers to all chip in money for the missing part! Unbelievable. Stewart’s work asked for money for basic kitchen items, and Holly had to chip in a ridiculous amount of her own money for a compulsory Christmas party! Nathan explained the rundown of Lisa from The Veronica’s wedding – and it’s completely ridiculously hippie-ish. The guys got mouthy about hippie nonsense – and apparently others have experienced it too! Like Anya who thought a girls catch up wouldn’t involve chanting and colour chakras, or Laura who was forced to eat some pills that were made of something super gross. And awkward funnyman Luke McGregor is in town this weekend for some comedy shows, he called through to talk about his hit TV show Rosehaven which is coming into season 3, and how he’s actually had to walk off stage a couple of times at his own shows…. Nathan, Nat & Shaun Podcast - 22nd November 2018
22/11/2018 Duration: 23minSooooo….this morning there was a little note left with the newspaper delivery – apparently Nova hasn’t paid the newspaper account! Oops. Turns out plenty of people have been caught out when they didn’t pay the bill – like poor old Larissa who had a break-in, only to discover her husband had forgotten to pay the insurance…. Greg Hire, Wildcats champion and terrible Dad-joke teller called in ahead of the games against New Zealand this weekend. There is one player on the side who he would leave his wife Ainsleigh for….and the guys kind of agree. We love you Ainsleigh! And Jason from Brigadoon was lucky enough to win a VIP day at the races this morning…he said he’d take his partner of 9 years but couldn’t tell the guys how old he was turning! There are lots of things that partners should know about each other that they don’t, like Lisa who took years to find out her husband is colour-blind, and Tommo whose wife took months to learn his actual first name. Nathan, Nat & Shaun Podcast - 21st November 2018
21/11/2018 Duration: 28minA guy on a forklift nudged a pallet rack and every single rack in the warehouse then tumbled down. You can check out the crazy footage on the Nova 937 Instagram page. The guys heard some stories of big messes at work including starting fires in the microwave, diesel spills and splattering’s of toner ink. Brendon Julian joined the team to chat about the Australian T20 match today, and also remember that time his face was on a giant billboard for ages here in WA. And Nathan’s neighbour is a cycling triathlete and he’s super fit – which makes Nathan feel super bad about himself. Turns out there’s plenty of other people who make others feel bad, like Claire’s 15 year old son who’s extremely fit and teases her, and the lady who made Clarissa’s cake making skills look amateur. Nathan, Nat & Shaun Podcast - 20th November 2018
20/11/2018 Duration: 36minA book in a UK bookstore has taken a ridiculous amount of time to finally sell – and we wanted to know about those items that just won’t come off the shelves. Leanne finally got rid of an ugly ring from her jewellery store this weekend – it had been there for 3 years! And Christie got a bit desperate to get rid of a certain type of washing machine in her parents shop…. Australian cricket coach and absolute legend Justin Langer called through for a pep talk (he needed it) ahead of Australia’s T20 game at the Gabba tomorrow. A couple of WA boys are doing well elsewhere, and he misses City Beach so much he wanted to get his wife to show it to him on FaceTime via her Apple watch. A desperate man! Shaun’s mate came third in a swim race – he was stoked until he realised there were only 4 blokes in it. Cassie competed in an interschool swim race and won – but she was the only competitor. And Charmaine got a trophy for doing….not a lot. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Nathan, Nat & Shaun Podcast - 19th November 2018
19/11/2018 Duration: 57minTwo of the funniest bits of audio you’ll hear this week feature in today’s podcast… One is listener Kayla’s reaction when she was gifted something not-so-great for her 21st – her lovely boyfriend recorded it so we played it. And two is the press conference after the darts match on the weekend when apparently one of the competitors was farting to put the other guy off. Dart farts from middle aged men are a thing, everyone. Speaking of middle-aged men, Guy Sebastian tried to convince the team he’s 28. Righto mate. He also brought up onion slips in Bunnings stores and talked up his new role on The Voice Australia. But the big story out of today was the triumphant return of Shaun McManus, with his knee in a bandage and a story to tell. That story being how much his family doesn’t love him – the man had to catch an uber home from the hospital! Some calls to cheer him up included Louise who got zero visits in hospital from her family, and Dylan whose wife ate his special meal. See omnystudio.com/lis

Nathan, Nat & Shaun Podcast - 16th November 2018
16/11/2018 Duration: 47minLast night Ali the Bachelorette had to decide Team Todd or Team Taite. We think that Ali thought she was going to get an engagement ring from Taite when he pulled out a ring box but was it? We took calls on when you thought you were getting something else! Awkward! We check in with the peoples champion Shauny Mac to see how he is recovering from knee surgery, surprisingly his family stitched him up! Ali the Bachelorette had to make her final decision last night and she went with her heart making one very happy Taite! We got to catch up with the love birds 24 hours after the finale went to air. Plus the delightful Rick Stein joined us live from Margaret River. He is in WA for the Margaret River Gourmet Escape this weekend, appearing for the sixth time! And Danny Green joined us in studio to talk about his Stop the Coward Punch Campaign ahead of Schoolies and if you have a weak stomach then you might want to listen carefully when Danny explains what happened to his finger. 15/11/2018 Duration: 31minOne ex-freo Docker captain out, one ex-freo Docker captain in! With Shauny Mac having knee surgery who better to replace him with no other than 353 games Matthew Pavlich. We love hearing stories about kids that become obsessed with random house hold items, we hear some absolute pearlers. Plus Wildcat Vice Captain Greg Hire joined us. Sitting on top of the NBL Ladder, this week the lads travel to Cairns. Greg explained what actually happened to his eye, WARNING - this may make you squint! Keep listening though as it wouldn’t be a chat without hearing Greg’s “dads jokes” at the very end. We also celebrated it being a year since Same Sex Marriage was passed in Parliament, much to Nathan’s horror we replayed the audio of Nathan’s Marriage Equality speech, hope you have a box of tissues handy. Nathan, Nat & Shaun Podcast - 14th November 2018
14/11/2018 Duration: 29minThe peoples Champion Shaun McManus is getting his knee operated on and has to fast before the op, his last meal before the operation was a carrot! Unbelievable! …Nathan also voiced his concerns about going under anaesthetic. A dad ordered a frog themed cake for his son’s birthday, he didn’t check it until he got home and was bitterly disappointed that it wasn’t at all anything to do with frogs! We wanted to know your stories about when you should have checked. Australia is in shock with the news that Bunnings will no longer place onions on top of their snags (in a bun) but under the sausage to stop potential “slipping hazards” for their customers! Shaun didn’t believe for one second that you could “possibly” slip over from an onion. Well, didn’t our listeners prove him wrong. And The Premier Mark McGowan called in to share the news that WA’s share of GST has been passed in the Senate. A big win for W.A.! We all know when you have a big win you celebrate with getting Chinese takeaway, find out what the Pr

Nathan, Nat & Shaun Podcast - 13th November 2018
13/11/2018 Duration: 36minCulinary whizz and all round legendary bloke Curtis Stone dropped by the studio super early to chat about his tour of WA, Australian beef and the sausage roll he sells at his LA restaurant. Nope, we didn’t make that up, the Americans love em! However when Curtis did rock up, he came about 40 minutes early and it was a tad awkward because we were totally unprepared at 5.30am. Caitlyn called in to tell us about the time she hid dirty dishes in the oven when her friend showed up early, and Fiona had some awkward neighbours show up to a family event in Ireland. And tonight’s episode of Bride & Prejudice sees Izzy and Simon break-up – and thank god for that. Izzy called in to talk about the experience and how she’s glad that loser is out of her life! You go girl! See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Nathan, Nat & Shaun Podcast - 12th November 2018
12/11/2018 Duration: 30minShaun’s family bailed on a restaurant because they wanted to charge $6.50 cakeage per slice! Apparently other ridiculous charges exist, like $150 cleaning fee in an uber when you sit on a damp towel (the seats were leather) or a $9 per slice cakeage fee even after Scott and his group had spent over 5 grand! After hearing about the shark attack victim in Mandurah dragging himself to safety, the guys wanted to hear stories about when dragging yourself to safety have happened elsewhere. Turns out there’s plenty of just general dragging stories in Perth – like Kylie who dragged herself down the hallway to feed the baby when she hurt her leg, and a super crazy horse story involving a poor friend being dragged from Cara. And the scandal of the morning was button-presser Shaan admitting to liking candles! He got one for his birthday from his Mum – so in amongst calls about bad gifts there were also some men supporting Shaan in love for candles – well, sort of supporting anyway. The guys likes candles, it can only go

Nathan, Nat & Shaun Podcast - 9th November 2018
09/11/2018 Duration: 30minEarlier this week a BHP train had to be deliberately derailed because it took off on its own without a driver – and all the iron ore ended up on the tracks. Got us thinking – what on earth did they have to tell the buyers of that Iron ore about why their delivery was late? Turns out there’s been some interesting late delivery excuses, including a staff member stealing the goods, and a roller door being delivered to the wrong house. In the US a note has been posted about the communal area in an apartment block being booked out for a home birth. We heard some more stories about weird uses of communal areas, including poor old Matt who’s Mrs threw all his clothes into the communal pool in some misguided anger at him. And Shaun had to leave a tad early today – so Tom Gleeson came in and kept Nathan & Nat company! In amongst slagging off Shaun and enjoying Nathan playing the spoons, Tom also made a statement that we don’t think we’d ever heard before…to do with stab holes. See omnystudio.com/listene

Nathan, Nat & Shaun Podcast - 8th November 2018
08/11/2018 Duration: 42minApparently one in four Aussies don’t know their neighbours. Which sometimes can be a good thing, as Erin’s sister discovered when her elderly neighbour decided to use her kitchen…luckily it was for good. Tom also wished he didn’t know his neighbours when he basically ended up as their handyman. Steve Butler called through again today to make sure the guys were enjoying themselves in the studio here in Perth while he was living the life in Melbourne for the Spring Racing Carnival. Oaks Day today and he’s checking out all the celebrities in the birdcage. Greg Hire dropped by ahead of the Wildcats home game against Brisbane on Friday, and in amongst the very small amount of basketball chat there was a discovery about Nathan’s melted pinwheel. And a couple of new shows hit the small screen tonight – Nazeem Hussain called in to plug ‘Orange is the New Brown’ on Seven, and Pete Helliar and Lisa McCune are explaining ‘How to Stay Married ‘ on Channel Ten. Both great shows with some very funny stars. See o

Nathan, Nat & Shaun Podcast - 7th November 2018
07/11/2018 Duration: 30minYesterday producers Amy & Claire went for coffee, and Amy failed to point out to Claire that she still had a roller in her hair. The entire time. Cheryl called in to tell us about her husband who failed to tell her about a very revealing blouse on the tube in London, and Lyn had relish all over her face after cooking and not a soul mentioned it to her. Last night on Bride & Prejudice a Mother offered up ten grand to her son’s partner to cancel the wedding. We heard stories about pay-offs, including Ben who got hit by a lady in a car and she gave him all the money in her purse, and Dee who was offered cash to attend an event with someone. And Melbourne Cup winning jockey Kerrin McEvoy promised his wife and kids a massive house with a pool if he won the Cup. Turns out the house prices in Melbourne are a tad more expensive than what he won! Andrea told her son she would pay for half his car if he didn’t go to Bali for schoolies – so he asked for Mustang. Kids these days….. And we caught up with Davi
