Things are pretty hectic over in the US at the moment – we are definitely behind the black lives matter movement. What has been crazy is the reporters being hurt while on the job – we heard some stories about being in danger while you’re at work. Maybe not quite so scary, but still a bit full-on!   Nathan’s neighbour is being a bit dramatic about one of the people on their building not being around – she’s concerned about their welfare. Nathan thinks she’s overreacting. For all those kids that missed out on proper birthday parties during the lockdown – the Wiggles made sure they had a massive one! Plus Emma explained the meaning behind their new song ‘Social Distancing’ – pretty obvious to be fair.   Wil Anderson is a host on Stan’s comedy from home series, he spoke about how he had to setup all the cameras and mics himself in his house. When the Premier asks Nathan to do a task – he does it. So today, Nathan painted a portrait of our Premier, Mark McGowan, out of mince pie filling. You heard that absolutely correct! Hear him as he tries to get different colours from gravy, make everything stick and the final reveal! Which is actually quite amazing.   Speaking of art – the guys thought it appropriate to hear some stories about receiving gifts of artwork – they’re generally not that great! From matchstick photo frames to notepads shaped like appendages, there was really a bit of everything.   And announcer Ross just discovered he is still paying for a tinder account – even though he's married with a child. Britney had a cracker – she didn’t realise she’d been paying a gym membership for THREE YEARS until she cleaned her room and found a receipt! He’s extremely flattered that someone painted him in vegemite., so much so that Nathan offered to paint him in mince from a pie. And that’s happening tomorrow. Also, the Premier is extremely badass telling off the eastern states, we are super proud.   President of Freo Dale Alcock came on to explain how memberships are going to work for 2020/2021 at Freo – they’re offering a decent reimbursement to keep the club afloat!   And do you have something you show people when they come over to your place? Not the peas! A truck driver down south has lost his load of peas all over the highway – not an easy clean up! So we heard about some other difficult cleans to make him feel better, like Eliza having to clean red wine out of her car, and Sandy who cleaned an explosion of Jam in her kitchen. Fun times!   If you haven’t seen it yet – google the world’s strongest baby. This kid is standing up at EIGHT WEEKS OLD. Unbelievable. Other feats of strength we heard about included lifting a car off a person, lifting a tree off the road and a baby doing a push-up.   And have you heard the new life hack about how to make broccoli taste like dim sims? That’s right – Alex and Jackson won Legomasters last night and took home the awesome Lego trophy and a hundred grand – after a casual 28 hours of nonstop building. That’s dedications!   We think China are being a bit passive-aggressive in their response to our questioning them about Coronavirus– so we heard about other passive-aggressive responses, like Jess’s boss who put her on nightshift for 6 months for disagreeing with her. Today’s the day when things start to return to normal – and we heard plenty about what everyone will miss - including free parking, at home food delivery and no traffic! We won’t miss COVID though. That can happily bugger off.   Kitty Flanagan called through to plus Have You Been Paying Attention tonight, and also her book which won an ABIA award – the trophy now proudly displayed on her mantle. Well done Kitty!   And we can’t believe our mate Hayden Quinn got the boot from Masterchef last night – we called him to tell us how much he has let us down, especially as he’s also failed to become friends with Chris Hemsworth even after meeting him. Johnny from Meet & Bun gave Nathan the secret recipe for his famous ‘Breaking Bad’ burger, Nathan successfully put it in the sausage roll maker and you will not believe the score the guys gave it!   A guy in China changed race while he was asleep so the guys thought it would be a great idea to chat to Louise who had her hotel room changed around while she was out.   And you might want to change your password on your Netflix accounts after hearing these stories! The beautiful Emma Wiggle is hosting a virtual birthday party for all the kids who missed out during the pandemic – it’s going be amazing. She was actually on the way to take her rabbit Crumpet to the vet (he’s ok).   Nathan attended his Uncle’s funeral yesterday, and listened to his mum when she said to follow the hearse into the cemetery in his car. He was NOT meant to do that and it was super awkward! But it led to us hearing stories about when people took advice when they shouldn’t have, including spray tans and car accidents.   And a 101 year -old man has given his take on the COVID pandemic after living through the second World War – let’s just say we’ve got nothing to complain about guys.  See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

With Nathan away for personal reason today, Liam Bartlett dropped in to sit in Nathan’s seat and rant about stuff – so a great fill-in really! Plus Liam was our first in studio guest in months and we were SO excited.   Cameron Daddo is guest starring on Home & Away this week, he talked about doing the round in LA as an Aussie actor and also about broadcasting his Smooth FM show from home. It’s weird.   And bossman Dave McClung had 2 attempted crimes happen at his house over the weekend, are you also a crime magnet? That’s right – all the comedians participating in the Stan Lockdown Comedy Festival have filmed themselves doing a stand-up gig alone in their homes. Do you leave space for laughs? How do you set up the cameras? Are you even funny? They’re the questions Wil asked himself, but he did it anyway. And yes, he’s funny!   Also funny is Brad Johnson the Bulldogs legend pointing out Shaun on the homepage of Fox Footy – they’re remembering the demolition derby and Shaun was right amongst it in the melee! Brad reckons WA are right to be upset about having to leave for an AFL hub in Vic.   And today was the first ever episode of Sausage Roll Models – where Nathan uses his favourite new appliance, the Kmart Sausage Roll Maker, to make creative sausage rolls. That’s right - our Premier is in the good books because the regional travel band have been partly lifted and everyone is stoked. Mr McGowan also reckons the boost it’ll give to WA tourism will be second to none.
