This week, we talked about the Oscar winning 2005 biopic, "Capote". The praise for Philip Seymour Hoffman was universal, but opinions on the movie itself differed - which resulted in the longest and most inappropriate movie list portion on the pod to date.   In part 2, we talked about the best real life adaptations in T.V and film, and ended up sidetracking into discussion on the recent avalanche of sexual abuse allegations in Hollywood. This week, we completed our trilogy of Halloween themed movies with John Carpenter's 1982 cult classic, "The Thing." This week on the show, we talked about our second of three horror movies for the season of Halloween - Wes Craven's A Nightmare On Elm Street. This week, we're finally back at the movies! After a 3 week hiatus, we're back with the final three episodes of this season of Preacher. This week on Preacher, the pace was stepped up with plenty to gush over; from the wonderful stand off between The Grail and Cassidy and Jesse, to the development of Hoover and Featherstone, to that thrilling cliffhanger ending. For episode 50 of our podcast, Preacher mercifully made a return to form with the quality of their show this week. Between this and the trailer for the remainder of the season that we've watched off mic, it's fair to say that all three of us are pretty excited to see what Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg have done with the rest of the current series of Preacher.   It should also be noted that around a year ago or so, Mick and Aidan had a bet on whether or not Eugene "Arseface" Root was actually in hell. The forfeit was that the loser had to sing a song of the other podcaster's choosing. Well, unfortunately for Mick, he lost, so buried somewhere within this very podcast episode is Mick singing Rick Astley's "Never Gonna Give You Up". It's our 1 year anniversary! To celebrate, Joe and Aidan partook in the recently established podcast drinking game. This week we watched a movie so insanely bad that it went straight to the bottom of our list. Surprisingly though, Mick enjoyed it more than both Sharknado and The Room. This week we discussed Film 4's 2008 indie flick "Franklyn." After Sharknado last week, we were hoping to have our spirits lifted with a reminder of how great movies can actually be. Sadly, this ambition was not to realised with Franklyn.
