Kevin Cornell & Glenn Pendlay Reunion (Part 1)
11/09/2017 Duration: 45minDuring Kevin and Glenn's first reunion since Kevin left MDUSA several years ago we spoke about Kevin's comeback to the sport of weightlifting. Glenn ended up going straight SAVAGE about Kevin's diet as an athlete, but also spoke about his great characteristics. Most interestingly to me they spoke about the differences in training between Cal Strength and MDUSA as well as the decline of MDUSA and what happened when Glenn left Cal Strength. All in all this first half of the interview was extremely interesting, and I did my best to just let Glenn and Kevin catch up organically without too many of my fan questions! The second part will be up on Friday.

The Drug Episode - PEDs in Weightlifting, and the Food Industry
04/09/2017 Duration: 48minIn this week's episode of the Weightlifting House podcast I finally get Glenn to discuss the difficult topic of drugs in weightlifting and his thoughts on whether this is an issue that can be resolved. He releases some stories from foreign training halls as well as his general knowledge of the IWF/IOC and the likelihood of any change. This episode is incredibly interesting and happened off the cuff. We did not plan this topic and so everything that was said was very organic. Gaining insight into the taboo world of performance enhancing drugs from a man with such experience in one of the most corrupt sports is extremely engaging. We also discuss the food industry in America and to my delight manage to get Glenn on a rant about the American public and the damage that their diets are doing to themselves and their children. Please like and share as we are still trying to work our way up as THE weightlifting podcast.

This episode was cut off half way through because we ended up speaking for another hour and so decided it would be best to save the second half for another day.

11/08/2017 Duration: 01h03minThis is my favourite episode to date. Glenn's Biggest Successes in Weightlifting
01/08/2017 Duration: 41minThere were two main topics of discussion today. The first I believe Glenn just needed to get off his chest, and so we spoke about whether to use the pull or the deadlift when trying to strengthen the back and pull. Our main topic of conversation was one I have been interested in asking Glenn for a while. Which athletes does he consider himself to have made the most progress with, not necessarily in terms of their long term progress, but in terms of fixing their technique or an imbalance that they had which resulted in very sudden improvements. I just want to chuck out a quick reminder that the Pendlay WOD is now on Train Heroic. Glenn has 3 teams which you can look at. I will be on Pendlay STRONG 5, which is his signature weightlifting program. You can check out weekly samples of each program here http://bit.ly/2vNTpOuThanks again for tuning in. Until next time.
