369: Rulebooks
29/05/2024 Duration: 14minIn this episode of "You Can Handle Anything," I delve into one of the most common but overlooked issues in relationships: the "rulebooks" we create for others. These are the expectations we set about how people should act, speak, and behave—like putting away shoes or doing dishes. Often, the other person is unaware of these rules, leading to frustration and resentment when they don't comply. Discover how recognizing and potentially letting go of these rulebooks can transform your relationships, preventing unnecessary conflict and fostering better understanding. Tune in to learn strategies for managing your expectations and improving your interactions with others. www.shiragura.com

362: When Things Don't Go As Planned
09/04/2024 Duration: 12minHave you ever had a day where your simple plans just don’t pan out? Not the life-changing ones, but the daily stuff: a walk, cooking a specific meal, finishing a task. Out of the blue, things happen, and what you wanted to do just can’t be done. When that happens, you face a choice: stick with the frustration or move past it. Every moment gives you the power to either react on autopilot or respond with intention. In every moment, you have the power to choose. Just yesterday, I had this all planned out - an email blast to my Living Deliberately Circle about all the new videos I created for them, ready after months of hard work. Then, bam! A computer glitch. Out of nowhere, out of my control, and there went my email plan. My first thought? Power through the night until it’s fixed. But then, I paused. Took a step back. Went through The unSTUCK Method. And, oh, what a difference it made. Click below to dive into the full story and learn what you can do the next time life throws a wrench in your plans

360: Consider Not Being a People Pleaser
26/03/2024 Duration: 13minHave you ever caught yourself worrying too much about what other people think? This happened to me last week while I was getting ready for my youngest son's Bar Mitzvah. I was busy making plans and found myself stuck on worrying about what my friends would think of my decisions. This worry made me super anxious and I just couldn't shake it off. It's something we all go through, but it's definitely something to keep an eye on. Trying to make everyone happy might seem like a good idea, but really, it ends up doing more harm than good. Instead of trying to please everyone, it's important to remember that their opinions aren't what matters most. What really counts is how you feel about yourself, your choices, and taking charge of your own thoughts and feelings. That's where The unSTUCK Method comes in. One of the many things it does is that it helps you let go of that need to please everyone else so you can focus on what you really want to do. 359: Consider There's Some Truth to That
19/03/2024 Duration: 12minEver been called out and it hurts? It feels mean and makes you want to fight back. Everything goes so quick, and you feel like all you can do is get mad. But there’s a way to deal with it. If you notice you're getting upset, you can work through those feelings. This is what learning to "get unstuck" with The unSTUCK Method is all about. Doing this, you can calm down in no time, stay in charge, and think before you respond. This is what I did when my kid said something that made me really want to snap at them. But I didn’t. Curious about what I did do? Click below to find out the whole story and see what you can do next time you're in a similar tough spot. www.shiragura.com

Discover why managing others often leads to neglecting our own needs and how The unSTUCK Method can help. Join me for a personal story about trying to "teach" my husband a lesson, and learn why letting go is key. It’s an 8-minute listen with insights that could transform your day. 357: You Can't Know Everything
05/03/2024 Duration: 09minHave you ever had the experience where someone asks you to do a favor for them - and you gladly help out - only to realize you didn't succeed exactly the way the request was intended? I just hate it when that happens. It's like no good deed ever goes unpunished, right? When that happens, it's so easy to get stuck on self-judgment, self-criticism, and guilt. But the truth of the matter is, you can't always know everything all of the time. Things happen. And instead of staying stuck and feeling bad, you can choose to make a shift and feel better, no matter what the situation. This is what happened to me earlier in the week when I kind of messed things up with a friend. Tune in to this week's "You Can Handle Anything" podcast to hear that story. And as a bonus, I share a second similar story with you in this episode as well. Click below to tune in. I welcome your feedback and thoughts with me after you do. www.shiragura.com

356: Consider It's Not Your Story
27/02/2024 Duration: 11minHave you ever wanted to jump in and help when you see something happening to someone else? It's totally normal! But sometimes, it's not our place to fix everything. I recently saw something happening between my husband and my son the other night at dinner. At first, I wanted to step in, but I caught myself. Instead took myself through The unSTUCK Method. It helped me realize that it wasn't my problem to solve. By staying out of it, I let my son handle it on his own. And you know what? Dinner just continued like nothing happened. This week on the "You Can Handle Anything" podcast, I share this story and how choosing how to respond can make all the difference. Tune in! Take a moment to consider trying the same approach in your own life this week. www.shiragura.com

355: Consider Helping a Friend
20/02/2024 Duration: 26minOver a decade ago, I created The unSTUCK Method to help me manage my emotions in real time. This tool has transformed my life. Now, I coach others using this method to break free from the emotional triggers they face. Supporting someone this way can profoundly impact their life. This week's "You Can Handle Anything" podcast features an excerpt of "unstuck coaching." Yet, the coach isn't me—it's a character from a book! Listen to an interview with my friend and author, Esther Goldenberg. She shares a story from her new book, "The Scrolls of Deborah," where one friend helps another become unstuck. Click below to tune in. Afterward, consider grabbing a copy of Esther's book, available on Amazon. I look forward to hearing your reflections! Shira

352: Consider Being Trusting
30/01/2024 Duration: 15minWhen someone triggers you with rude or insensitive words or actions, it's natural to wish it hadn't occurred. The challenge lies in acknowledging that it DID happen. Refusing to accept reality leads to unnecessary suffering. While you may dislike the event or find it perplexing, embracing trust in the present reality facilitates a smoother journey. Practicing being trusting is something the members of my community, The Living Deliberately Circle, and I explored together this month. Discover more insights about what it can mean in your life if you were to consider being trusting in this week's "You Can Handle Anything" podcast. Click below to tune in now. 351: Let Them Be Disappointed
23/01/2024 Duration: 10minEver wondered why managing emotions "in the moment" in tough situations is crucial? When you don't, you can get hijacked by them, leading to behavior you later regret. And that can lead you to get trapped in a stuck cycle, holding onto negative emotions and feeling like you just can't let go. And, of course, over time that doesn't only impact how you feel about yourself, it impacts your relationships and how others feel about you. This is exactly why having a reliable tool for those "off" moments is invaluable. The unSTUCK Method is my go-to solution, used multiple times a day, guiding me towards living my best life. Here's a recent example: Last week, amidst facilitating a 4-Day "Move Past Grudges" Challenge, I found myself torn about whether to keep my commitment to broadcasting my weekly podcast, "You Can Handle Anything." Stuck between promises and time constraints, I turned to The unSTUCK Method. Discover what I considered in this situation and how this tool empowered me to get unstuck, make a rational

350: Your Highest Self
09/01/2024 Duration: 10minHave you ever gotten upset and acted in a way you later regretted? It happens to all of us. Even in those quick and tough moments, remember: you can choose how you react. I recently asked my husband, for the fifth time, to put something away. His reaction seemed too much, triggering me to react like I used to. But this time, I decided to be my best self. Hear more about this story and how to show up as your highest self in the latest episode of the "You Can Handle Anything" podcast. www.shiragura.com
