Michele Brittany is an independent popular culture scholar and the editor of James Bond and Popular Culture: Essays on the Influence of the Fictional Superspy (2014) and the Bram Stoker-nominated nonfiction anthology, Horror in Space: Critical Essays on a Film Subgenre (2017). Her poetry has been included in the HWA Poetry Showcase Volume IV (2018) and she just had her first fiction story selected for inclusion in a flash fiction horror anthology. Also, Michele is a long-time photographer and her photography has been used in independent music projects. She is the co-chair of the Ann Radcliffe Academic Conference and an academic member of the Horror Writers Association. In addition, she is the Editorials Manager and regular contributing writer at Fanbase Press as well as serving as the Book Review Editor for the Journal of Graphic Novels and Comics. The majority of his works are alternate history, science fiction and humorous fantasy adventures. After winning the 1993 Writers of the Future contest and he published his first novel in 1997. Shortly afterwards, he became the first librarian of the Baen Free Library and a prominent anti-copy protection activist. In 2004, faced with a persistent drain on his time by fan-fiction authors seeking comment on his 1632 series, he suggested to Jim Baen the experimental serialized fan-fiction e-zine The Grantville Gazette. So far, eight volumes from the Gazette magazine have been published by Baen Books, in various formats. He is also the MC alongside Charles Gannon for the Annual Dragon Awards.

A second anthology called "A Moment In Time" will feature two supporting characters from her novels, Stella and Tessa in a short story set in 1917. Mary is also organising the annual AUSXIP Starship Charity Auction in September.
